took our long haired cat here for his first grooming appointment and are very pleased! was able to get an appointment quickly and picked him sooner than expected. he looks and feels great, highly recommend!

Thank you for helping me focus on my event without worrying about my dogs. They settled right back into their routines with nice nails and waggy tails. (feel free to quote me, lol) Looked to put on your fb, but didn't find away. Thank you very much. Returning the zip lock food bags was an added plus as I am very self conscious about my plastic use. The place is overwhelmed, understaffed and outdated. The establishment wreaked of weed. Staff are friendly and helpful overall. However, the dogs go on small walks and don’t give enough time to use bathroom. Place is disorganized and heavily needs to be updated. Truly has potential to be great but they take on more than they can handle. I will not bring my dogs here.

My dogs Charlie and Lily have been going to her since they were puppies over 3 years now, she quick so it’s less stress on them and most of all she’s patient. Even though they have been going to her their whole lives they still stress and have to be pushed in the door, once she had to follow my big dog around the room to get his nails done but she did it!! I highly recommend her.

HORROR HOTEL. My pup was obviously left IN HER CRATE FOR HER 3 DAY STAY. Urine and feces SOAKED blankets and crate tray. Metal crate was broken beyond repair. Not fed all meals we individually labeled. Charged more than quote. I was lucky enough to get an early bath for my pup the next morning. Keira refused to accept ANY responsibility.I filed a report with Marlborough P.D. because no ACO in the town.

My puppy goes here nearly 5 times a week and he absolutely loves it! Great way for him to get his energy out and socialize. Every morning, we pull into the parking lot and he is immediately overwhelmed with excitement. We love this place and have a few friends that also bring their pups here as well. They are very cordial, kind and easy going. They take him on many walks and are accommodating to any dietary needs. Could not rave more about this place!

You need to make sure they listen to what you want. Because I went there asking for nail caps for my cat, I asked for it over the phone and when I arrived. They just clipped her nails and AFTER they told Me I needed to bring the nail caps on my own, but at the point it was too late because they already cut her nails too short to put them on. So they not only didn’t do the service I asked for, they prevented me from getting this service somewhere else. MAKE SURE THEY LISTEN TO WHAT YOU WANT.

I have a 70 pound golden doodle who had three appointments cancelled prior to scoring an appointment at Paws for awhile.. my poor dog was super matted and they did an AMAZING job on her hair cut anyway. Very nice, very professional and SUPER GOOD PRICE.

Just got my long haired kitty groomed there today. He wouldn't let me brush him so he had a few matted spots on him. I was worried he wouldn't cooperate but when he came home he was a whole new cat! They did a great job and responded to my emails right away! Will definitely be bringing my Kona back again!

Had an appointment for grooming. I was told on arrival that the wait would be 3 hours! Dropped off dog, came back after doing errands, then picked up pet. Happy with grooming but not with poor scheduling and bad communication.

My cat is always happy to get his haircut here and doesn't complain about it. Once home, he prances around showing off his new do.Saw the one star review, two things1. Tip your pets groomer, don't be a monster. Have you ever cut your pets hair? It's difficult af. If you're told $40, bring an extra $20 just in case it's a bit more and you have tipping money.2. What kind of monster doesn't carry an emergency check?

Very pleased with them! I have a very anxious and aggressive dog who is pretty hesitant of new people, when I picked her up I found out that the whole staff loved her and she didn't have an issue with any of the employees. She was a very clean and happy pup! Highly recommend.

This review is for the grooming business Paws to Groom. It's in the same building as Paws for Awhile and it has the same owners but it's technically a different business. I'll make a review for Paws for Awhile sometime in the future. Also this is the same review as the one I posted on YelpThis is a top notch dog grooming salon. The staff are super friendly, the prices are good, and the dogs always come out looking great! I know people who work here so I guess I might be a bit biased but I really do think that this is an excellent business. I've picked there brains for a lot of the info here but if anything is wrong that's my fault.Prices are like I said really good. A bath and brush out for a large hairy dog is only about 30 to 40, 20 to 30 for a small one, and then trims range anywhere from 30 to 50 (as of March 2017). I would recommend calling and asking them directly; I know their prices have changed over the past summer so they might change again, and I only have rough estimates for the prices anyways. I do know that nails are $5!You do have to book an appointment for grooming (not nail trims though; those are just walk in), and if you want to be sure you get in I'd recommend calling 3 or 4 days in advance. Sometimes you'll be able to get in much closer to the actual date but during the summer and holidays it's much more difficult.Generally you'll drop off your pet sometime in the morning and then pick them up about 3 hours later depending on how busy they are and how long it takes to groom your pet. You can also have them keep your pet there for longer if you can't make the time and they'll make sure that they have water and have a chance to use the bathroom outside.The store is very, very clean. If you walk in during grooming hours there'll be hair all over the place but that's about it. Everything is wiped down, scrubbed, disinfected (with pet friendly products no less), vacuumed, and mopped at the end of everyday.The dogs are kept separate most of the time, so there's little to no chance of anything happening to your pets, abd the same goes for cats. They get housed in kennels that range in size from small toy dog to mastiff size, and after they're done being groomed they're usually put in larger kennels out front.They have a lot of different types of shampoo and hair products (including skunk stuff!!), and you can also bring your own if you want too. They have hypoallergenic, moisturizing, whitening, and conditioning stuff to name a few. They can also take care of fleas and ticks!This is an excellent place to go and your pets will approve of it as well as you!

I am going to expand on this now that I've thought about it longer. I chose to come to Paws for Awhile/Groom because I've been there twice before and had an enjoyable experience. There are other groomers closer to me, but I wanted to give my business to a place that had given me good service in the past. So going out of my way was not a big deal. Finding a business with an eye toward customer service and satisfaction is a big deal.So, I came in and asked for a final price when I dropped off my cat, knowing that they only accept cash. When I came back for pickup I was then given a different (higher) price. I specifically said "You told me $40 this morning when I asked. I do not carry cash normally and have gone out of my way to be here". The response I got was "Can you come back later?" Well, obviously, no, this was a trip out of my way and there was a reason I asked for a final price (which was clearly given at drop off). I then, obviously irritated, rushed back to an ATM to get more cash, only to come back and overhear the staff talking about me and outright lying!!To recap:1. I chose to go out of my way to do business with Paws for Awhile.2. I chose to accept a "cash only" policy despite not normally carrying cash (or check)3. They quoted one price and then raised it, forcing me to go out of my way further.4. Returned to overhear staff utterly lying about the situation (inexcusable)Needless to say, this is not the kind of business I want to be supporting. I too, work for a living like the rest of you. But I understand the critical importance of good customer service. I have friends and colleagues that do business there and they're going to see and hear this. Here's a thought: empower your employees to make customers happy, deliver on your promises, make it personal, set yourself apart from the competition, and never lie. I cannot not recommend Paws for Awhile/Groom until this is resolved in some way.

I was very pleased with Paws for a while. I had brought my daughter's cat to get her nails clipped. Upon arrival my wait time was minimal. When my cat was brought in it only took a few more minutes.

Hi there we live right here in Marlborough and just love Paws for Awhile. I have been very impressed with the cleanliness the service and the attention our dog Loki gets here. We have needed their services 4 times in 2015 as we were traveling for funeral/estate closing. It was a relief to know our furry son was in such good hands they have always been very clear with their pricing and policies with us and the staff are wonderful to Loki and really thats what matters.
