This place is a scam. They're trying to trade me for a missed appointment. There's nothing about signs during colded that said if you missed a Appointment, you're going to be charged for it. Let alone I called the day before because my wife had an accident, and I even can show the pictures that I showed them and they're trying to build me, let alone 2 weeks before that they left a shout in their parking lot for over an hour and a 1/2 never bothered to come out and check on us. When home an hour later they called to find out where I was. I should charge them for my time and my wife's time. Let alone we had 2 dogs in the back of a vehicle that was over 90° outside. I would stay away from this place. They seem to be really hurt from money. Trying to charge me for a missed appointment when I called them the day before. That's my wife had an accident. Wow,

I brought my chicken here and asked just for a blood test and asked for no X-rays bc I knew what was wrong, and came back to a bull with a few X-rays confirming what I knew and no meds. I called for another sick chicken (I have a rescue) and I know he has sour crop and need meds, but the are refusing without X-rays. I told them I feel like I am being hosed and they send me a letter saying I am no longer a client there. (Like I would be going back anyway). Be careful going here. They will take you for all you have. (Sour crop does not need an X-ray to diagnose.)To add; I asked for a diagnostic for what I know is sour crop and was refused any services other than X-ray. And as you stated in your email, even when I ask for no X-rays (again, they are not needed), the doc would see him without X-ray and whatever tests needed. I am not a vet, you are correct, but I had the yeast tested and it was confirmed sour crop. I needed meds and a test on the sour crop yeast would have worked without an X-ray. So it seems you are all or nothing. I repeat. I do not recommend. staff is rude and don’t care for the animals in their care.**I did not ask for treatment without diagnostics. I was told sour crop, which is was, needed an X-ray to diagnose, and last time I went in I asked for simple blood work, and came back to a bull with X-rays I didn’t ask for.

I have been taking my Dog Volby to this vet for the past three years, and he seems to really like the staff there. He tends to be skiddish around new faces, but they are very understanding and gentle with him. Plus they are very reasonably priced.

They were able to take my injured hamster the same day I called. They are one of the only vets around who take exotics/"pocket" pets and birds.They wanted to check in with me everyday to see how the medicine was working, which I think is a really nice touch. If you have a small animal, I recommend this veterinarian.

I would not recommend this vet for larger dogs. It was an unsafe exam, my dog almost fell off of the table because she was not secured and if I didn’t step in to grab her she could’ve been seriously injured. The vet was rough with her head, and I was genuinely appalled. They gave her ear medicine without taking a culture that I specifically asked for. Vet seemed generally unprofessional and I will not be taking her back.

One of my ducklings ended up having some problems over night, I found that Marlboro Veterinary Clinic works with birds, to my great relief. They didn't hesitate to fit my feathered friend in to the day and I am hopeful that all will return to normal with her. Any negativity toward this business by people like Rob Bushee is likely extremely exaggerated and misguided.

Unethical, No compassion! Not willing to listen. Put an aging Very sick animal through unnecessary test's, to pad their pockets, then send her home to die with in 30 hours. That is exactly how it went down.PLEASE don't trust your animals to this awful business. They treat people poorly and the animals worse. Losing a family member is tough. But even worse, was what we had to go through.

This place is so amazingly praised by so many people and the staff are so in love with all the animals that pass through the doors which is a great thing... however, I have had a few pretty bad experiences with this clinic. First off, I always feel as if the staff are talking down to me, like I don’t understand how to take care of my pet, or if I’m not a good owner. Secondly, I took my pet here and asked for a price estimate- they said possibly $50 and that I could pick my pet up at 3, so I set my whole day aside to do so. With no call or update by 4pm that day I called them and they told me they wanted to keep my pet another night “just in case” but gave no further info on what they had done. I called them (again) in the morning to see when to pick up my pet, and they said they would call me back with details on what they would be doing and when I could pick him up. They call back at 1:30 with no details- just telling me to come get him. The cost ended up being around $225. I understand that things have to be done and should be done when our fur babies are taken to the vets, I also am willing to pay for that. I just wish I had gotten updates on price and procedures and did not have to call myself. I am giving 2 stars because I know they do an amazing job loving and caring for the animals, just aren’t so amazing with customer service.

Got my dog an appointment right away which was awesome. Very informative as well the vet was wonderful with my dog and the vet tech was very sweet loved her. The only issue I had was with the front desk girl she was a bit unfriendly and seamed annoyed by the dogs in the room. Would have been five stars if that had not happened. Everything else was wounderful and we will certainly be going back again!

Been bringing our 2 dogs and our Macaw here for many years.Been missing the "face time" with the Dr. due to Covid but hopefully the world continues to get back to normal (and I have a hard time getting my Macaw to wear a mask so.....:)Recent visit was great as usual. You know your pet is getting great care here.

Very easy to work with, and obviously dedicated to providing excellent care, the entire staff and especially Dr. Bob have been amazing. We highly recommend Marlborough vet clinic!

The prices are outrageous. To fix two kittens would have been over $700. To fix one kitten and do blood work on a dog it came out to $742. Granted the kittens stayed overnight but that shouldn't contribute to the high price. As for our other kitten he has a runny eye and they didnt do the neutering because of that fact when we already told them about it and saw the kitten before hand. If you go there and have a great experience awesome, but if you dont definitely shop around.

Disgusting and unsanitary in the back room. There were implements openly out in the air, giving them all the germs in the air. They should be contained its sanitary and law. Handled my pet very harshly and worked on a dirty tarp with visible hair on it. The doctor told us that we treat our pet poorly. Talks in a very rude manner. Very unpleased. Needs to be reported!!!

After being referred to this veterinarian by another vet for our dog’s condition, we spent $1200 spent on diagnostics for our dog, with the outcome being that our dog needed a strict diet of chicken and rice only. For 4 years, we prepared and fed chicken and rice for him. Knowing that our dog was 15 years old, didn’t want to do any more painful, diagnostic tests done on him and wanted to focus on making the best of his remaining life. A month before he died, we took our (now 15 year old) dog in for a rabies shot and was pressured by Dr. DeSena to have a dental cleaning done. Worried about the risks of putting a dog of his age under anesthesia, we declined putting him through that procedure. Not long after, our dog took downhill turn and once it didn’t seem fair to continue prolonging his life. When took him to vet clinic to be euthanized, Dr. DeSena gave absolutely no emotional support. He was cold, insensitive, and made me feel like I hadn’t cared properly for our beloved dog, which couldn’t have been further from the truth. Final words from vet weren’t any “sorry for your loss”, but rather a “be careful as you pull out, cars whip around the corner and you’re distracted.” I called the clinic to let them know how upset I was about the way I was treated and Dr. DeSena never called back or apologized for his rude, insensitive behavior. I would not recommend Dr. DeDena and won’t be using their services in the future.
