The highly knowledgeable, caring and friendly staff at Lyme Veterinary Hospital have lovingly cared for our beloved dog for 14 years - providing both preventative and acute care for her. They are always very receptive to time-sensitive requests for appointments. They provide thorough examinations and only request ancillary testing when it is appropriate and will impact treatment. Surgical procedures have been performed on our dog on-site, with excellent results. We are very lucky to have such a quality veterinary practice situated so locally.

In January we had to put our dog down. My wife had recently contracted COVID, but desperately wanted to join my kids and I during Stella’s last minutes. We could not have been happier with our experience at Lyme Veterinary Hospital!! We were greeted and immediately our puppy was comfortable with Tom and all of the staff. The office is clean, and the staff are all so caring and knowledgeable.We have had some less than great experiences in the past with vets, so I felt very relieved to have found this great place. I knew we were in good hands, and I could tell that our puppy knew that too. I HIGHLY recommend Lyme Veterinary Hospital!!!

I have a 17 year old dog, and was unsure about euthanasia...they were wonderfully supportive, informative, and kind beyond professional expectations. I have many other animals that have received excellent care here but I feel the need to comment on their compassion. Regular visits are one thing, and have been great, but this was a visit of a different nature. Vets have to treat both patients and parents. I am supremely grateful for the kindness and understanding I was given on a very difficult decision.

We are new to the area and had to find a new Vet. We had great relationship with our old Vet and went to him for over 8 years.The Lyme animal hospital is no longer a private practice they sold out to a large conglomerate and It's all about money with them now.We brought our 4 dogs there just to update their shots and we also brought a litter of Germany Shepherd puppies for their first shots. We spend well over a thousand dollars for those two office visits. Next we brought our female there to have her spay and another 700.00 bucks.Well, we also have a 13 year old chocolate lab that needed ear drops for a yeast infection in both ears. They would not sell them to us unless we spent another 75.00 bucks for an office visit and the cost of the medication. Over the last 3 months we spent well over 2500.00. Lyme animal hospital does not care about your pet but care only about money. Not the kind of vet I want caring for my dogs. We will not be going there again. We want a compassionate vet, which they are notThe male vet basically waved my wife out of the office after paying the bill as to say F..K YOU. Not very professional.Over the years we've paid all our vet bills in full the time of service.

There are no people or places equal in so many ways to the Lyme Veterinary Hospital. For years now, I have traveled with one or both of our dogs from over an hour away in Vermont to receive both scheduled and, on occasion, special attention there.This time, special attention was needed to address an ear infection. I placed a call early in the morning and, despite a full schedule, we were taken in for an early afternoon appointment. The staff and doctor were, as usual, both attentive and effective.There was no rush. Generous time was taken by staff and doctor for discussion, questions and considerations of treatment, healing expectations and outcomes. The experience for both my dog and me combines science, care and kindness. In all of these, the LVH's people and practices are incomparable. There is no other place for us.

I'll be loyal to Dr. Tom as long as he's in business, when my own vet failed to help my dog, Dr. Tom quarterbacked her into the life-saving surgery I knew in my heart she needed. He undoubtedly saved her life when my own long-term veterinarian failed to even show up.

Dr Tom & the hospital team were able to see us very quickly when we rescued a stray cat and needed to bring her in. Vets are so busy these days but they took great care of her and she had a successful spay the next day!
