I was concerned when I awoke this morning to my two sons having GI issues. When I opened the refrigerator, I noticed the expiration on the eggs my husband used to cook their meals. Unfortunately, the eggs expired 19-days ago. Out of common courtesy and to prevent any other sicknesses, I called the Lyme store explaining the situation. I was very nice and understanding. People make mistakes; no big deal. However, I was rudely spoken to explaining that the expiration date does not reflect the true expiration of fresh eggs. I explained that these were not fresh eggs but rather a particular brand that we have purchased before, there. The seal was, also, broken when opening the carton. The person on the other end yelled hold on and another woman answered saying hello over and over again until I had to reiterate my story again. After explaining, she just stayed quiet. No apology. No thank you for letting them know. No customer service.I asked if I could return the eggs and was granted that privilege. I thought maybe when I returned the eggs, that I would be treated a little nicer. Unfortunately, this was not the case.I’m very disappointed on how I was treated. I’m the customer and I should be treated kindly and with respect. I’m grateful that I live within a short distance to other stores because this will be the last time we ever purchase anything from the Lyme Country Store.

We stopped here after two days on the AT. I was exhausted. I didn’t think to take pictures. They have a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, beers, and hot food. You can also get ice cream. They are about three miles from Dorchester St. and Grafton Pike when you get off the AT. They are located in front of the common. A gorgeous location with friendly people. Yes! They’ll share their WiFi. We were grateful for it because our signal was not the best.

Whenever it's a Sunday and the end of my northern trips, I attempt to stop by this little store. Their breakfast sandwiches are hot and fresh, and they leave me filled up for the two+ hour ride home. There are lots of little conveniences one can pick up here, and also seasonal fun (I just picked up two wooden sheep and a painted rock from the town for this post). It also has gas, if you need to fill up. And, of course, their soft serve ice cream. Give this place a shot when driving through town.

My coworker and I had stopped in to grab a bite and we looked at the premade sandwiches and didn’t see anything that was appealing so we wanted to order from the deli and as we were trying to order the cashier a young man who rudely told us to look at the premade sandwiches and we already did thats kinda why we went to the deli to get our sandwiches made. The young woman helped us with no problem and no attitude at all. When we got our sandwiches and went to pay for them the cashier was very RUDE and we had done nothing wrong. We were very polite about it but then when we handed him the money he rudely snatched it out of my coworker’s hand then when he handed her change back he aggressively slapped the change in her hand. I felt as if that was rude and very disrespectful because we did absolutely nothing wrong except for order from the deli. Please talk with your employees. The food is delicious and I would love to come back but I might just have to wait a while. Thank yoy!!

Awesome place. Just wish they had an awning over the gas pumps. They have non-ethanol gas here! Folks are friendly, so stop in and simply say hello. They have a lot of different stuff here too. Check them out sometime. Thanks for reading and enjoy :)Update: Support this local store through the pandemic! Heck they even had cream of tartar for only $5.99, and that is for 10 ounces! I paid more than that for just 2.62 oz at the big supermarket stores.

This was such a nice little store! They have just about everything a full sized grocer would carry, and of course, being Vermont, they had an excellent assortment of fine Vermont cheeses, including some wheels of very ripe Harbison. I bought some, and although my kid wasn't too keen on it, I was in heaven! The whole town was a nice place, with a little park right in the middle of it, across from this store. It will definitely be a permanent stop on my way through this area from now on.

A wonderful family operated market.Fresh sandwiches, homemade baked goods, hot coffee, and so much more.This market store has all the vibe of a delightful step back into time into an old fashioned neighborhood general store. It is just another surprise amid this charming little village.

This is a great country store in Lyme NH. Very well stocked and quaint general store. Fresh baked goods including pies and pastries. Coffee drinks and lattes as well as chia tea. Has gas out front. Beer and Ales available. Veggies looked great and tomatoes were perfect. Staff very friendly.

The Lyme Country Store is the best! They are so friendly and have everything you need- groceries, ice cream, maple sugar candy, etc. We always stop by when we’re in town!!

The kind of country store you would drive an hour to get to. Great sandwiches and other lunch items. You can find smoked cheeses and maple products here. A great stop!

This place has some pretty good food for a country store. They will even make you a sandwich if they don't have what you want. They have thia food Friday and it's pretty good.

Looking past the absent minded person that works in the store you can find your most immediate grocery, fishing bait, fire wood, beverage and deli needs. Prices and selection are what you'd expect for the convenience. You may even fillup for gas here and get your deer registration done.
