Burgeon Outdoor has a mission: supporting local communities with products made as locally as possible. A place in the mountains that makes things for the mountains.The funny thing about the physical location of Burgeon Outdoor is the warmth. The mission keeps money in the pockets of those who work there, which keeps homes warm. The people who work there are friendly and warm to customers. And the products are designed to keep you warm in the coldest White Mountains environment.My advice is to include this place in your travels. Give yourself a reason to stop by a real life clothing manufacturer startup in New Hampshire. Come check out the warmth of the people there.

I purchased the Hearthside Cowl Neck Fleece in the color gray mist - women's size small. I am in LOVE. I have hypothyroidism so when I go on cold weather hikes I get cold - and quick. Even when moving honestly. This was the perfect mid layer and it is wicked soft! I wear it out in town as well because it's gorgeous to boot. Excellent quality. Excellent people. Excellent sustainability and products. You will not be disappointed ❤

Burgeon's winter "Franconia" mid layer was the "missing link" in my layering system this past winter. It was super warm but still breathable. The hood was snug to protect from cold wind and the built in balaclava genius in design! ( along with strategically placed pockets and "thumb" holes on the sleeves)I cannot wait for their line of women specific outdoor clothing to be launched!I have had nothing but exceptional service from Burgeon from friendly staff in the store to having a free face mask mailed to me during "Covid".I also appreciate how committed Burgeon is to supporting the community by bringing their business and manufacturing to the center of the White Mountains.So exciting to see this company....burgeon!

Cool little store where everything is hand-made right in front of you. Bought the highlander hoodie in red and cannot wait to try it out on a hike soon.

I first heard about Burgeon Outdoors when they offered me a free face mask to assist in my volunteering job. Thank you!! Their products are made right here in New Hampshire, so I had to give them a try.Since then I have purchased a Washington soft-shell and a Flume base layer, and as a long-time hard-shell fan I was a bit skeptical at first. A week into owning both I am rapidly becoming a convert. The base layer is super soft, comfortable and warm. The shell's fit is "just right": not baggy, but loose enough to allow for layering. It has plenty of pockets that stash everything from a water bottle to lip balm and your car keys. The hood is an easy way to keep head and ears warm. I usually wear it over a baseball cap. On a recent hike in the low twenties, the shell kept me nice and dry on the uphills, but was warm enough on the windy summit. The soft performs well in foggy weather and a little drizzle but, obviously, I wouldn't pick it in a sustained downpour. All the gear is extremely well-made. I expect it to last me for a long time.Highly recommended!

What a great shop. I stumbled in here with my son, the shop owner explained the products and it was so cool to see a couple of women making the fleece's. Loves to support a company that makes clothing locally! The t-shirt I bought is super soft, they even gave my son a free mask. Will be back on my next visit.

The products made are top shelf. I have a couple base layer shirts, a Washington Jacket and two bond quarter zips. They are great for the outdoors and even around town. Keeps you warm on the mountain or in your yard. The company itself is pretty incredible. They have been making masks and donating to first responders throughout New England and local citizens. I think they are over the 1k mark! Kudos to a Made in America company that makes superior products, but also serves humanity!

My experience at Burgeon was amazing. I wandered into the Lincoln shop and saw local employees in the process of stitching the clothing together right then and there. Talking to Rudy, he explained how Burgeon is committed to providing the highest quality of technical apparel for playing in the mountains, and simultaneously to improving the community by hiring locals, donating proceeds, and (I learned on the website) stewarding trails. I bought two shirts, one an everyday tee which Rudy printed a cool wolf design on right there, one a lightweight wicking long sleeve. I LOVE them - the long sleeve is super light and breathable and could serve as a base layer or a crossover outer for the times of year when weather is mild and rapidly changing. This is an awesome - and different - outdoor apparel retail experience in which you feel like your purchases are actually contributing to compassionate action in the local community.

I now own several pieces of Burgeon Outdoor products and every single piece is unique and designed perfectly for it's intended use. With Burgeon you get a top quality garment that will last years to come and will be one of a kind. I worked with the team at Burgeon to fulfill a custom order for several printed shirts and Flume baselayers. Burgeon delivered a product that was exactly what we wanted. Justin worked hard to meet every expectation and request of ours and went above and beyond for his customers. If there was any issue at all Justin was quick to respond and would correct the problem as soon as possible. Burgeon donates to local outdoor groups to help the White Mountains be the destination for the outdoors. In short, buy from local business which also supports the White Mountains and get top notch service and products.

I have spent countless hours online searching for ethically sourced and crafted activewear, and there I was in Lincoln, NH casually passing through the Village Shops when I discovered Burgeon Outdoor. What do we have here? There are sewing machines in this store! Yup, right there in the shop, stitchers are busily sewing garments together. I was approached by the store manager who explained most of their materials are organic, sustainable fabrics made in the US, and hand sewn at this very shop. I returned to the store three times within as many weeks. Every employee is passionate about their work and it shows in the quality of their products. The Powerwool Beanie is perfect. Just the right weight, fit and warmth. Not too hot or tight, but snug enough to stay in place and dries in a flash. The Bond Quarter zip is cozy and warm. Roomy enough for a base layer underneath, and warm enough for a cool fall hike. LOVE this store and can't wait for more women's apparel!

It's amazing to have a local company in New Hampshire making extremely high quality gear! I have been wearing the Flume 1/4 Zip all winter long and it performs really, really well. Dries quickly after a grinding approach and is always comfy. The Franconia is a beast and honestly my go to outer layer now. Plus it's really cool that they are making this stuff right here in New England! Well done....

I am a proud owner of a Bond Mid Layer 1/4 Zip shirt. It has quickly become my favorite item to wear for my walks in my Northern California neighborhood. The two color design is super stylish, and perfect for an evening out. The Company Founder Rudy Glocker is a terrific guy, and he sent me complementary masks (created using the same hi-tech fabrics)!

I've been following the story of Burgeon Outdoor since seeing them on social media, particularly LinkedIn and Facebook. I have yet to buy a product but know people who have. They're outdoors folks and say the quality is top-notch, as good as (if not better than) the usual suspects when you think of high-end hiking and skiing apparel. What intrigues me more about the company is how they're committed to their local community. How many people, within only 3-4 months of being open for business, would convert their whole production operation from clothing manufacturing to COVID mask manufacturing and then give those masks away to anyone who asked, free-of-charge? Their selflessness, along with the endorsements from friends who purchased, will make me a buyer soon.

Top notch customer service, I ordered a hoody and they had just ran out of the color I selected so I got a call from the company to go over some options and they had my next choice in the mail that day.
