If you're anything like me who gets hungry while grocery shopping, this is the place to be. They have a cute cafe here with all condiments and an microwave oven. I ended up buying roasted potatoes for $5, heating them up in the cafe and having a quick snack. Very convenient.

I always get lost here. I was really quite shocked to see the empty two cases in Deli area where they had the hot foods but I guess maybe they don't do them maybe during the pandemic I don't really know.I was also pretty shocked to see a guy picking out his green beans or I think that's what they were as I first came into the co-op entrance with his hands! During a pandemic! Not everybody was wearing a mask. The neat thing that I found that I have not seen anywhere else was the wine chiller! Located right in the wine department with a huge variety of wine to juice from, you can actually chill your own wine within 5 minutes! Who knew that that was such an exclusive need for the Lebanon Hanover area! Great for gift giving though! They always have a good selection of beautiful flowers which is generally why I go there.Worth checking out if you're in the area.

This is the largest of the bunch and it's your Wholefoods local equivalent in the Upper Valley. It has all your organic cravings covered from loose, grind-yourself coffee to organic serve-yourself kombucha by the grouler to lose seeds, nuts, etc to a large variety of high quality wines and craft beer. Their meat and cheese sections are also very good. This location also boasts a cafe with prepared food items along with your favorite beverages. There is ample indoor seating for the cafe and also free WiFi.

The Coop has everything that I could want and more. The staff is always incredibly helpful, will open a register if you need one, the flower and plant section is fabulous and so are the meat counter and the wide array of vegetables. 🙏💚

Great resource for hard-to-find loose herbs. I searched for licorice root bark for a long time without success, but finally found it at the Co-op in Lebanon. The store is clean and organized, and the prices are fair. I'll definitely be back!

Great coop grocer that stocks your favorite natural and organic foods at reasonable prices. There extensive selection of produce, dairy, meats, groceries, as well prepared foods will impress you.

This Co-op has a great variety of products, local and otherwise, however the prices can be a bit high unless they're having a sale. If it isn't something locally made, I rarely buy it at this store (usually online) and was even recommended to look online for one thing that their distributor no longer stocks them with. I mainly only go in there for Hi-Land Farm Goat Cheese. The Dessert Cheese and other fruited options of this goat cheese are amazing!

My favorite grocery store. Has best produce and meat. Also King Arthur and other local breads. Boars head and local options in deli. Obviously a bit more expensive. Unfortunately they got rid of the monthly discount for members. Now you get a fraction or your spent money back as reward. Doesn’t come close to what you used to save. Everything else is great, decent lunch options too.

Great grocery store. The location near the hotels and hospital is very nice. Selection is good: lots of local products, tons of fresh baked goods, bulk department, good produce. Staff is helpful and easy to find. I do find the layout awkward and not always intuitive.

The main location has things some of the smaller local stores lack. Lots of good options for people with dietary restrictions. Prices are higher than larger chains, but they pay their employees better.

Very cool Co-op! Sara K in the supplement section was helpful by answering questions and speaking with me about new products and other local products that I wasn’t familiar with. Excellent interaction and will be purchasing from here again

The Co-op Food Stores are a rewarding place to shop mostly thanks to the employees. The majority of them are working careers, not dead-end jobs for less than a living wage; their attitudes reflect that by and large. You do pay premium for an organization that pays and treats its staff well, but isn't that how we all ought to treat one another?Furthermore, if you're local and want a say in how the Co-op operates, you can become a member for a $50 share and be assured your voice is heard. You've nowhere near that influence with chain supermarkets.

Stopped by yesterday morning to pick up a coffee and a few other items. I ordered a coffee at the Cafe--where there's a huge sign with the coffee sizes and prices--and was told the coffee was self-serve around the corner...? The cashier seemed annoyed I didn't know that. I then asked a woman at one of the checkouts if they had larger bags of Deep River chips and was told brusquely that if they weren't in the chip section (they weren't), they didn't have them. Okay, fine, so I went back to the Cafe where they had smaller bags and bought those. Went to another cashier to pay for some cheese and a very nice gentleman saw me with my four small bags of chips and said they had larger bags if I was interested. I replied that I had asked and was told they didn't. He helped me find them, but they were located nowhere near the chip section, but on an end cap in frozen foods. This gentleman was very nice and cheery, literally everyone else I interacted with that morning was borderline rude or in a bad mood. I get it, I don't expect people to be super-happy or cheery at 8:30 a.m., but if you work with the public (as I have) you need to be pleasant at the very least. Was very sorry I just didn't get my coffee and snacks at Dunkin. The only bright spot was the helpful gentleman. His coworkers could learn a few things from him.

Great variety, much bigger than the coop in Springfield with way more cold cases and diverse frozen pizza options. Also they have a whole section dedicated to freshly baked bread and desserts from local bakeries!

Incredible selection and surprisingly reasonable prices. It’s the closest market to the hospital and I think we are incredibly fortunate to have them so close by with such fresh, healthy, and or local foods.

I like this store. It is great that they are renovating the dairy cases. Great choice of local bakery goods. Great sandwiches. I love the to-go items, especially the shepherd's pie. Good produce. Some different options here than at the larger chain grocery stores. A win for the Upper Valley.

Ann in the floral department completely blew me away with my wedding bouquet. I sent her a couple pictures of things I liked and she absolutely nailed it! Every little detail was thought out and I can’t thank her enough for helping to make my dream wedding come to life!

My experience at this place wasn’t the best at all. I was harassed and asked to leave for having my mask below my nose. I was being followed by multiple people throughout the store. It was later in the evening and hardly any people were there, besides workers.I told the one worker who approached me in an empty isle “I have my mask on, please stop.”He persisted to point out it wasn’t pinched to my nose like how he wanted. It was very condescending experience and I’m sure I’m not the only person that this has happened to. I’m vaccinated fully and this occurrence seemed very delusional. Especially because a lot of America is without mask mandates and traveling through here was just a hellish experience. I just can’t believe I had the food I was going to buy in my hand and still was getting told to leave. “Kindly”

The Co-op was & is designed for a very select group of people = the wealthy folks. I guess, if you're not from this area, you could think of the Co-op as a stepsister of Whole Foods. It's very expensive, which I expect for things that are fresh, organic, locally grown or raised, etc, but even National brands are much pricier here. I just don't understand why people seek out these kinds of stores, but maybe it's just me. This particular store has a very confusing, maze-like layout, and I have a hard time finding things here. There's aisles going diagonally, there's weird square shaped specialty areas (like gourmet cheeses & the like) and the check-outs are hard to find once you're already lost in the crazy aisles. Trust me, I never opt to go "grocery shopping" here -- I only find myself inside this store because I only need a couple items AND I'm already in this section of town. There are "real" grocery stores (northeast chain stores like Shaw's, Price Chopper, & Hannaford) about 10 minutes away that I normally shop at. I have a disabled friend who lives much closer to the Co-op than the larger shopping area, so I take her to this store & I might grab a few things. Otherwise, I avoid this place & I can't recommend it. But I'm well aware that the wealthy enclave of Hanover & all the doctors/nurses who work across the street at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center frequent the Co-op. And good for them --- I absolutely appreciate the business model, where anyone can become an "Co-operative member/owner" & receive money back from the co-op at the end of the year~ ASSUMING THEY MAKE A PROFIT. I'm a big fan of that. And I hope the folks that buy-in do indeed collect money at year's end. But I need better products, more variety, and lower prices before I ever become a card-carrying member!
