Visited on a Saturday morning, was a slight wait for a table to open up but no line. Very straightforward breakfast place with what seemed to be home baked bread (excellent). Food came out quickly. We did have to flag down a server for coffee refills and to get the check but as I said it was busy.

We've always had a great experience here. We've ordered take-out weekly for 3 months, and never had a problem. But today changed my opinion of this diner.When I called to order, I was put on hold for several minutes until I hung up. This happens, they must have been busy.I called back a few minutes later and placed my order. They said 15-20 minutes which is normal for a "busy" day. No problem, I always plan for around that.When I got to the restaurant, they didn't have an order in under my name, and it turned out it never got put in from paper to the computer. These things happen, I took it in stride. I had a pleasant conversation with the woman at the register and just waited patiently for the order. I paid and tipped as usual.When I got home, the Eggs Irish was leaking and looked like soup with undercooked egg. I called back and was told they could make a new one. So I went back to pick it up.Let me be clear all of the above was excellent customer service.When I got there, the server apologized and bagged the replacement meal. A man was sitting where they tend to have a laptop. I was asked if I had the original. I said no, and asked the server if I could see the new one to make sure it was ok (It was). The man said "we can't do that then" but backtracked and said they'd do it today only, but never again and that "they have too much going on today" (it was mostly empty). I simply said ok and took the replacement meal, not interested in arguing with him.The replacement meal was good, but the attitude of this man has made me lose my appetite for this particular diner.

We visited this diner with a party of four recently for Sunday breakfast. We were seated immediately. The waitress was very prompt, cordial, and took our order. She always kept our coffee cups filled. The food was fresh, cooked to order, and reasonable portions. Prices were standard for breakfast items. We highly recommend this diner for breakfast. Free and plentiful parking.

What a great cafe-diner experience! My daughter had Eggs Benedict and I had the French Toast both very good. The menu is simple and the prices are incredibly reasonable giving breakfast is becoming the new “dinner experience” in the northeast as it has been for almost five plus years on the west coast. The staff was super friendly and given to exemplary service. Our server was Nick and we were super impressed with his positive attitude and genuine concern given his young age. I hope to get back soon to try an omelette. Check this place out when In Jaffrey, as you will be glad you did!

We just went this weekend while camping at a local State Park. The service was quick and friendly and we met the chef. The place was clean and tidy.The cheese on the cheese omelette was a little too gooey and the coffee was kind of weak but overall we really enjoyed our meals and went twice.The cinnamon roll and pumpkin muffins were to die for!!If you're looking for good comfort diner food I recommend it! We don't live too far and when we're in the area again we'll definitely be back.

We are in from Colorado for a wedding and we met the owner of the cafe at The Monadnock Inn as we were checking in. Went in on a Friday night for some dinner with my partner and Grandparents. Service was attentive and very kind. Food was fast and delicious with a hometown feel. Prices were on point! The owner was a great host and very kind as well. We will remember this experience for the rest of our lives! Well done!

I'm new to the area and have been driving past this diner for a few months. Today I finally got a chance to stop in for breakfast and I'm definitely glad I did! The place is cute and homey, the service was prompt and friendly, and I enjoyed my eggs benedict very much. I got a cinnamon roll to go and it was also delicious. I'll definitely be back!

Monadnock Country Cafe is a relaxed locally owned country cafe. Yes, sometimes refills on coffee can be slow, or you may have to ask for the check. However the food and food service is always top notch. We always have been served the food as soon as it’s done being cooked and it’s always hot and yummy! The cinnamon rolls are to die for!

Great waffles and pancakes, wonderful young staff. Saw Carly on her second day as a waitress handle the uncalled for verbal assault from a particularly crabby customer. This encounter was handled with a surprising amount of grace for someone so young and new to the job. She immediately returned to her work with other tables in a calm and collected manner. Very lovely little diner, definitely coming back.

We did not have to wait to be seated. We took a few minutes to think about what we wanted. The waitress came over and my wife gave her order. I asked what type of meat was in the meat lovers omelet. The waitress said "I think sausage" I asked what other meats are in the meat lovers omelet. She said "I am not sure". I asked if she could find out for me before I ordered. She said "OK" but just stood there and looked at me. She finally turned and asked a man sitting at a table beside us and she seemed a bit mad that I made her find out. The wife and I kept looking around thinking we were on a prank show. We laughed about it the rest of the day. I liked the meat lovers omelet. In case you get the same waitress the correct answer is sausage, ham and bacon.

They make an ok breakfast. Generally skimpy on the home fries. Expensive for what it is. But my real complaint is this:After visiting this restaurant every week for the past two years, I’m still treated as a Stranger when I walk in, order food, and pay my bill. For a small independent restaurant to not build basic relationships with your returning customers will result in loss of revenue over time. Eventually, profits shrink enough that running a small restaurant is no longer worth it. It’s a shame really because across the street the other option is a corporate restaurant with billions of customers served. They connect with customers in the same way. Just another face.

We have been here 3 times now and have enjoyed our meal all 3 times.. The service has always been good although we did have to wait for our food all 3 times. There are plenty of options and we have gone with a group of 4 all 3 times and everyone has gotten exactly what they asked for. The prices are reasonable and we only had to wait a short time for a seat once. This may be our go to for Sunday breakfast from now on.

My girlfriend and I usually go here once a week and it’s normally a good experience but today I asked for a regular cheeseburger and the waitress didn’t listen to me and thought I said I wanted a Bacon lover’s cheeseburger which cost me $3-$4 extra. If the waitresses are not sure of what the customer wants they need to ask rather than assume and cost the customer more money by doing it. I like the owners and the restaurant but today was just not a good experience.

The food was weird. Waitress recommended pancakes... they had a strange smell that lingred as an odd aftertaste. My Wife's Ruben looked good... But the thousand Island dressing wasn't... It was tarter sauce with ketchup added, and very very tarter. My daughter ordered poutine, and said the gravy wasn't right... another strange lingering flavor. On the positive side, our waitress was very nice and accommodating, and the other patrons seemed to be regulars... where the waitresses knew their orders by heart.

Absolutely delicious food and large portions for the price. Every time I go, it is very crowded. It is a small place and there is usually just one waitress. My server is always rude and rushed. I've had multiple servers and they all act the same. I don't know if they're just stressed over how busy it always is. I would go all the time if the place was bigger and the servers more polite. The food is definitely worth it.

Food was good, but was charged $1.00 extra for mayo packets even though we asked for mayo on the burger and they did not put any. They never mentioned that the mayo packets would be extra. Also not told that sourdough toast was .50 cent extra. It's not the $1.50 it's not being told that it is extra.
