We did not travel from Texas just to buy boots, but it was a productive use of our time there to buy Standards for me and put my daughter on the list for customs. My mother has been wearing hers for 15 years and has been nothing but satisfied. Emmitt and Ryan were knowledgeable and patient and answered all our questions. The level of craftsmanship that goes into these boots is obvious and in an era of things designed to be replaced these stand out for their long-lasting quality. 5 ⭐️.

These are the absolute worst in my experience. When they measured my feet and fit me, I was so excited to get them. They made a mold of my feet and sent me on my way....when they finally arrived, I put them on and went hiking and I got many blisters even with moleskin! Very disappointed, I wore my shoes made from the mold and they were the heaviest and most caused more blisters. They were very expensive. My husband had a slightly better experience than me but he started wearing them much less as time went by. They were very expensive and I was sad it didn't work out for us.

Dream come true. Cannot wait to have them properly broken in and on some trails.Patrick was incredibly smart and helpful in size selection. Took the time to get an “off the shelf” fit and on the backlog for custom-fits in the future.The quality of construction on the boot is unreal. Heavy duty sole and leather, but the inside leather is so soft.I only wish I lived closer the shop so I could have got these boots earlier in life!

Peter fit me for customs around 2004 and since receipt they have been worn on 4 continents. I was married in these boots. I walked all over eastern Afghanistan in these boots. Sent them in for a "tune up" about 5 years ago but other than that just laces, insoles and boot grease. These are the finest fitting most rugged boots you can own. In summary; I refuse to mail or put these in checked baggage as they are just too special at this point.

Yes, they live up to their reputation! This was my retirement gift to myself and the wait was supposedly 5 years when I started the process but to my delight, I had them within 3. I have foot issues and knew I’d get good use out of them. They have a reputation for a very long and hard break in period but I haven’t found it that bad at all. I truly love them and have not regretted the purchase. I look forward to them lasting the rest of my life. They are so nice and it’s a family as they say and they treat you as such.

The best boots in the world. Custom or stock. Used or new. I’ve had a number of these boots ranging from 70 years old to brand new. I’ve stomped rocks in the ground on a few trail crews with their standards. I’ve cut a mean rug with their walking shoes. These boots get the job done for many years. The repair shop is A+ too. All the folks one deals with here are beyond skilled, helpful, & professional.

I’ve owned my pair of of standards since 1997 and wear them over 200 days a year, took a very short time to break in but 100% worth it .Some might think that the price might be a little high compared to other high end hikers but if you were like me and spending $200-$275 every two years for a new pair of boots this is a steal .Worth the wait to have made and will definitely be your last pair you have to buy.I could go on forever saying great things about this company but if your looking for the best pair of boots look no farther.Stay outdoors!!

Master bootmakers, excellent people. I only had cleats put on 3 pairs of new shoes but they treated me like a king. Going to get a pair of boots made for my nature girl lady friend, oh I picked up my last pair of shoes and a customer was having his custom made boots put on as I was there and they looked so good I almost drooled. Can't go wrong being a customer of theirs. True masters of their craft, which is hard to find these days.

I’ve done business with Limmer Boots for over twenty years and have come to really enjoy the visits to the “shop” . Pete and his whole team ( Ken and Adam) are real craftsmen who take great pride in their work. Its reflected in the high quality product that they consistently produce. Although they take time to break in - once they do , these boots will literally fit like a glove. Don’t let their "blocky “ look fool you - they are the most comfortable (and durable) boot out there.

I give them 10 out of 5 stars. I bought a pair of boots in October 2015 and have worn them EVERY. single. day since then. They look brand new and are comfortably formed to my foot. They give me more support than any shoe has ever given me, for example>: I tend to drag my feet and have had an ankle/foot injury so I am more prone to tripping. These boots have saved my from several potential falling-on-my-face injuries!!! I tell everyone I meet about these boots!!! They are one of a kind. Some people have scoffed at me for paying that much for "just some boots." But you know what? Any shoe I've ever owned only lasted about 1 year when worn every single day, and their last days were not pretty. THESE LIMMERS are still treating me the same as they were since they were first "broken-in."And lastly, I was told about these boots from my step-mother. She has been wearing hers since 2002, and they still work just great ;) How about THAT for American Made quality boots??? If you're reading this, GO OUT AND BUY SOME NOW. Don't waste your money on another pair of boots until you have tried these!!!!!!

I've known about Limmer boots for some time and finally went to check them out. Peter is such a nice guy. Answered my questions and fully explained the differences between the boots and their fitting process. If you're looking for a fantastic pair of boots that have the potential to last you a lifetime, give Limmer a chance. In addition to their custom boots, they have some off the shelf options at roughly half the cost. I'll be getting a pair of those shortly.
