This store is selling a visibly sick and distressed black cap conure at 50% off. Instead of getting it veterinary help, they’re trying to sell the bird to a potential owner who doesn’t know any better. Disgusting.

I usually go to the other Big Pet store, for their crickets because Petco used to only have them in boxes but now they have them live. I was pleasantly surprised. Also the gentleman that cashed me out at the register, was absolutely awesome. I believe his name was Eric that’s what it says on my receipt. Very kind and accommodating in a great mood. Made me feel super welcome and he was also training a new employee that was very kind also. I have not felt that valued as a customer in a business in a very long time. I will definitely be going back more often.

Staff is helpful, store is clean. Animals are taken care of on Petco standards, so not the best, but you can give them better care once they are home. Staff let a bird out to hang out on his shoulder and socialize. Only downsides are what come with any big company, the animals don't have the best care.

Kids love to see the birds and fish and a few of the other animals while Mom got the dog food. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. We've never done classes or grooming there but it's offered. Stock of item is great, lots of treats and toys. Welcome to being behaved dogs in. We were there during a real busy time and not everyone cleans up after their own pets unfortunately.

I'm here so often, I should just be offered a job by now. Everyone is really nice and helpful. When I bring my dog they always give her treats and love her. The only problem is the set up, it's just a bit crowded to me.

This store’s customer service is topnotch. I ordered dog food online and picked up in the hooksett location. Unfortunately the food was out of its best by date. They were out of stock on the food and advised me to call and get a credit through the corporate customer service: what a joke that was. I got a huge run around. I called the Hooksett store back and all I had to do was bring the expired food back and was given a FULL PRICE credit back instantly. Brianna and the managers there are exceptional at their jobs. No fuss and very sweet.

First let me start by saying I had a grooming appointment booked 8 weeks in advance and 30 minutes before she was to go in they canceled. Then they got me in mid week while working and I was 15 minutes early and I was told I had to wait 15 minutes. When I picked my girl up the bill was 86 dollars and I even brought my own shampoo, my old groomer charged 60 dollars and my dog was beautiful, but she retired. My dog looks terrible for the money I paid and I should have charged them for canceling and ruining my Saturday for nothing. I am done and won't be going back this is a bad place to get your dog groomed.

I only go to the Petco in hooksett on a needs basis. The staff on the floor I have never had ever assist me. The grooming salon barely did their job and there is one girl in there that super rude. I tried to get assistance with someone who could help me with a good flea and tick shampoo for my Pomeranian.

PLEASE STOP SELLING BIRDS and other live animals. Your pet supply, pet grooming, and pet carer education aspects of business are excellent. But seeing the live animals looking distressed in your stores keeps me and thousands of others away. Eliminate your live animal sales and simply partner with local shelters to help with adoption. Plenty of money to be made without the heart-wrenchingly distressed animals that you sell - or that die waiting to be sold.

Did not have what was looking for, when asked if possibly they had out back got told " probably, but I have a line and can't look" which I understand but another employee could've looked. Went to PetSmart instead who had production stock on shelf and were more helpful

Looking for harnesses for my pups. There was previous pet hair and fluff left on some of them obviously after they were tried on but they could have been cleaned up and the floor was all dirty. Didn’t have the size I needed so had to pick a different brand that’s ok, but not what I wanted.

Decent store... Check online pricing first as store prices are higher but they price match.Main store is well kept... Bathrooms not so much.. the only person I could find to tell had a line at the register and I couldn't find what I needed so I just left. Hopefully it's been cleaned since....

Dog grooming, yorkiepoo, 15lbs. She had a fairly long coat.They graded her performance while being groomed and then told me that she would have to settle down if I wanted them to groom her again. Then they might blacklist her because she's difficult and "frisky".Are you serious!! You are the "dog grooming professional " or so you say. The dog will not get better at the grooming process unless you as the "dog grooming professional "teach the dog how to be wile groomed. It's not like I'm there commanding the animal while you trim them.How am I supposed to train the dog at grooming, this is why people like us bring our animals to people like you who are supposed to know what they are doing.I give them a three-star, she looked awesome but their attitude towards future groomings it's ridiculous! Grow up and just do your damn job and don't scold the people who pay your salary!Even though she looked great, I will not bring her back solely because of the groomer's attitude!It's sad.

I take my dogs here for grooming, and they do an excellent job!Both my pups are rescues from down south and are really skittish, nervous, etc. It takes them a little bit to warm up to people, and that can be hard sometimes.They've been going now for well over a year with no complaints. They both do well at the groomers now, and I'm now able to book their appts in advance. They have after work and weekend hours for those who need it, which is one of my favorite parts!The prices aren't bad either.

I found the store manager to be rude.She clearly saw me waiting to get crickets and ignored me. She looked right at me and the other person in the department was helping someone. So finally after waiting 15 minutes another person helped me. Then what really piss me off the manger comes over and makes it clear she is not happy they gave me 10 small crickets because they needed them for the store. So am I supposed to let my animals starve. And all the other bugs were dead and they had no worms.

Excellent grooming department. Have three black labs and one who is much older and doesn't do well with other new dogs anymore. They were extremely more than accommodating and made sure he was alone and had a great experience. Would highly recommend.

Usually love this place, but the groomer was rude. Lifted my 4 yr old to watch a beautiful Chow getting groomed and she signaled that we weren't allowed to watch. If we can't watch why are you in a room if windows ..either the business or employees need to learn their intent.

First they offered me the new customer package with a bunch of coupons so that was great but it was a real hassle actually using said coupons. Then I used their grooming services and they CUT MY DOG!! I understand accidents happen and dogs are squirmy, but they lied to me and told me she must of had a scab there and it just feel off. My dog usually has long hair so I thought sure maybe I could have not noticed. But then for the rest of the day my dog seemed off and that night was whimpering in pain. I took her to get and she confirmed it was new injury. Petco didn't charge my for the groom but I did get stuck with the vet bill and my poor dog has to be in a cone until she heals.

Friendly staff. Dogs are welcome. Prices a bit higher than at other big box stores that carry similar items but they do carry items you wouldn't find elsewhere (looking at you, chicken/turkey feet).

Went in and spoke to Will, asked him about help for my dog and he let me know he was a trainer and helped me find toys that could help. He was very nice and knowledgeable, and even though he was only 1 of 2 people there, he helped us as best he could while keeping an eye out for other customers ready to check out. He was kind, knowledgeable, funny and diligent. Give that man a store, train all workers to have that kind of personality and work ethic and you'll farm nothing but success. 10/10 recommended Will for any training and pet care you need. Thanks bro.
