My daughter and I visited Squam Lake Inn Feb 15-17. We will be back! This was the most charming, hospitable, clean and warm Inn we have been to in a very long time. The one thing I must rave about is the food, we ate dinner there on Thursday night, decided to have some small plates to share, we had the ramen, the BEST brussel sprouts, and sweet potato falafel along with a salad. We stayed in the Eagles Nest room which has a comfortable king sized bed and a lovely claw foot soaking tub. Each day there were fresh cookies outside our room in the common hallway, along with coffee, tea and an amazing array of reading material. We visited Ice Castles on Friday, highly recommend going early it got very crowded we went at 3:30 and by 5;30 when we were leaving the line was quite crazy. We also went to several covered bridges and downtown Meredith. It was a wonderful stay, the host Brendan is very helpful in suggesting things to do, given that it's winter and close to mud season its the quieter time in the area, which was fine with us! Forgot to mention the amazing breakfasts that are included with your stay. Kudos to chef Brendan for the tasteful delights each morning. Everything about the Squam Lake Inn is just perfection.

Squam Lakes Inn (SLI) is a romantic, charming, idyllic lake B&B and owned by two very talented, seasoned hospitality specialists. We have visited the SLI for delicious meals in the summer, and this was the first time we stayed overnight. We were in the Squam suite with lovely forest views of snow covered trees and a cozy fireplace. Brendan and Molly are fantastic owner/chefs with warm greetings and connecting conversations. We loved their specialty cocktails (frosted cranberry was memorable) and dinner was outstanding with fresh ingredients and attentive service. We had a great nights sleep on a super comfortable mattress and enjoyed the historic home environment. Breakfast was included and was a creative and filling meal so we could head out and enjoy a snowy hike up Rattlesnake Mtn. Highly recommend this sweet spot! We will see y'all next year!

The Squam Lake Inn is a rambling old building near the center of the attractive village of Holderness. The Inn's name is a bit of misnomer -- the Inn is not "on" The lake nor did it appear to offer a view of the Lake that we could see ( the nearest arm of the lake is about a 5-minute walk away). Perhaps the view changes when the leaves fall from the trees in winter or if one has a second floor room. Our room, one of the apparent "budget" spaces. was small but had a very comfortable bed, a surprisingly large bathroom, and typical amenities. Breakfast was excellent, but it was the dinner that really made the visit outstanding for us. One of the best meals we had had within recent memory. Service for breakfast and dinner was excellent. The front desk was rarely attended during our stay -- probably due to staff shortages -- a phone number was posted for contacting staff. The wrap-around veranda had a variety of inviting rocking chairs but the outside temperature was a bit too cool to use them.Food & drinks: Excellent breakfast and absolutely wonderful dinner.

I don't think it is possible to have a better stay! My boyfriend and I spent 4 days at the Squam Lake Inn for a wedding and were consistently impressed by the service, location, and food. The breakfasts were unbelievably good, ranging from fresh made blueberry pancakes, omelets, and more - we were excited for breakfast and tried to guess what the kitchen would offer the following morning. The beds are comfortable, the inn is quiet and you would be remiss not to visit the restaurant for dinner service. Whoever the chef is, they are exceedingly good. Did we mention the cocktails and the service?? 10/10, we will continue to recommend this spot for both overnight stays and dining and look forward to our next visit!

We had the most beautiful stay at the Inn. The rooms were cozy comfy and clean. I did like the check in process having the room unlocked with the key available to lock upon arrival. Breakfast and apps at the bar were unreal. Wish it was a smidge closer to the lake but was located close enough to drive and visit a few haunts in town.Food & drinks: Amazing!

Absolutely delightful stay with an exceptional restaurant. As first time leaf peepers in Vermont and New Hampshire we were thrilled with our choice of Squam Lake Inn. Our room was quite small but we were staying at an inn. The restaurant is wonderful...the fall sangria and speciality drinks were so good. Chef Amanda's version of shrimp and grits rivaled our S.C version of shrimp and grits...that is saying alot! Breakfast was included and the special were yummy seasoned cheese eggs and the best toast ever.We would highly recommend Squam Lake Inn on your next leaf peeping adventure.

We have always wanted to visit Squam Lake because we have been fans of the movie On Golden Pond since we were very young. This Inn was the perfect place to stay and met every expectation. The breakfast in the morning was an outstanding way to start the day and the food at night was every romantic meal is made of. Top it off with charming bar staff and the home made chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich to close the bar. It is walking distance to a sweet small town and a short drive to an amazing hike with a very beautiful view at the top of the mountain. This stay was worth every penny.

My wife and I wanted to visit Squam Lake to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Squam Lake Inn was the perfect choice. Our room was charming (and super clean). The big happy surprise was the food. Guests at the Inn get a superb breakfast. We also had dinner at the Inn both nights we were there. The drinks and food were excellent. Dinners are open to the public, and the Inn is quite popular, so parking can be a bit tight. Everyone we interacted with at the Inn was extremely helpful and friendly. We got good advice about things to do in the area.

Absolutely adorable inn, cozy and perfect for a getaway. We plan to return again in the summer so we can enjoy the lake and check out the beautiful area again. Highly recommend.Food & drinks: Restaurant and bar at the inn were worth visiting on their own. Great to have such a lovely option in-house.

We had a delightful long weekend stay at Squam Lake Inn. Everything was lovely: the comfortable room, the delicious homemade breakfasts, the beautiful gardens and covered porch. We enjoyed an excellent dinner there, too. All of the staff and guests were friendly and the overall vibe was peaceful, relaxed and kind, exactly what we were looking for!Food & drinks: Excellent dinner menu which was vegetarian-friendly, with delicious fresh cocktails. The ice cream sandwiches from the Marketplace are not to be missed. The homemade breakfasts each morning were creative and delicious, too, served in their bright, beautiful porch.

What a nice experience! The staff were all so pleasant, hard-working, and a pleasure to be around! I throughly enjoyed breakfast (and dinner!) at the Inn. It was great being away from the Lake Winnipesaukee crowds. The room we stayed in was comfortable, quaint, and tastefully decorated.A huge shout out to the young lady running the breakfast show. She was fantastic. I missed her name. Will definitely return if I have the chance!

Our stay at the Squam Lake Inn was delightful. The Lilac room that we stayed in was quite small...but what it lacked in size...it made up for in charm! The room was at the back of the house and was very quiet, and the small bathroom had everything we needed. The breakfasts were absolutely fabulous and my Gluten Free diet was accommodated with no problem. Be sure to ask for the homemade jams! We also ate dinner at the attached restaurant and it was excellent. The best thing about the Inn was the fabulous staff including the manager and the owner. Thanks for a wonderful introduction to New Hampshire.

We had a wonderful stay at Squam Lake Inn. There was plenty of parking (we were here in the off season when the restaurant is closed) and it’s location was super convenient for our weekend visiting the ice castle a bit further north. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and the e-mails leading up to check in contained helpful info and local recommendations for a great hike. Everything about our stay was comfortable, and I would make a point of staying at a bed and breakfast again based on this experience. Our included breakfast was fresh and hearty. I would not hesitate to return!

My husband and stayed there for a few nights for our anniversary. Our room was the Eagles nest. This a cute B&B that's tucked away near Squam Lake. The atmosphere was relaxing, the hospitality was incredible, each morning we were greeted with smiles and the showed interest in our days activities.Their breakfasts were amazing. We did not have our dinners at inn, but they smelled delicious.I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice getaway.

Very clean and comfortable New England B&B. Rooms were recently renovated. There were nice touches to make you feel welcome like homemade cookies and coffee available in a guest library. Front desk staff and proprietor were very friendly and helpful. We'll stay here again.Food & drinks: Very much enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

The location of the Inn was ideal for our mini-getaway. We wanted to revisit many of the local attractions and Squam Lake where we honeymooned 40 years ago. Our room was cozy and breakfasts were the perfect start to each day. Molly, Sarah and staff were all very eager to help in getting us settled, pointing us in the right direction and making dining recommendations while we were out touring around. The highlight at the Inn was dinner at its Inn Kitchen + Bar where we were greeted with a complimentary glass of bubbly to celebrate our anniversary. Dinner was excellent and our server was very attentive. We highly recommend the Squam Lake Inn when visiting the area.

My sister and I had the most relaxing vacation at Squam Lake Inn. We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed the serene atmosphere. Our room was very clean and cozy. The Wifi was very strong and allowed both of us to work remotely for the week as needed. The morning breakfasts were delicious. If you get a chance to try the blueberry pancakes, you will not be disappointed! We also loved that the Inn was just down the road from town so it was an easy walk to enjoy the lake views and the local marketplace. Thank you for the great stay and we can't wait to come back!

Hands Down one of the best stays I’ve ever had anywhere. Very clean rooms, spacious, and up to date! Loved the design of the entire property. It had that cozy cottage feeling. The property has the cutest little Restaurant/Bar, we only stayed one night and it was on the night they were closed, but we had breakfast there in the morning-it was delicious. Not to mention the staff! Great customer service. We’ve never stayed at a bed and breakfast, but will 100 percent be coming back!
