The most knowledgeable, kind, gentle, genuine, wonderful, reasonably priced veterinary hospital I've ever been to. Couldn't be more grateful for all they have done for my family over the years. I even still commute from Boston to see them whenever my pets have issues. Best people, best care. Eternally grateful for them.

I have been going to Henniker Veterinary Hospital for probably 20 years now or a little more. They are focused on the welfare of every animal that comes through their door. I have every confidence in their care of my (furry children). Their staff are wonderful and help when owners of their beloved pets are brought through the door, either for routine checkups and necessary vaccines or emergency visits. They are always up front about care and needs of every animal. If I was ever unsure about anything I would not have stayed with them for over 20 years.

Our visit was such a caring experience for my Hope kitty, she is timid and Jennifer was very gentle with her. We are very pleased with their service, our family goes to them. Highly recommend them.

Seems to be a very popular and very busy place. Personally I like to see the same vet every time but perhaps it's too early to request this? I do find it inconvenient that they can't fill prescriptions at the office but I know some vets are using online pharmacies. Overall Henniker Veterinary Hospital is far better than the other three localish vets I tried before this one. Helpful staff! 👍🏽

My cat was not very fond of being there and tried to make a dash for the door once or twice 😅But besides that, the staff were wonderful and made sure he was taken care of. They were super easy to make an appointment with. I think we had some miscommunication about what we needed done at our appointment, but it all worked out in the end.

DO NOT GO HERE. They're professional scam artists and do not have your pets health and/or safety in mind. 1st instance; brought our dog there(rapidly losing weight while eating and inconsistent stool) these guys wanted 2500 to run a bunch of tests. We did the first round. They found it "inconclusive" and asked for another 2000 for more tests. We stopped and took him elsewhere. After one test, 65$ later and no knowledge we brought him here first, concluded he had very aggressive cancer. Could have been treated with more time(if they had known a month earlier, when we were here) and would have costed about 2000. So if we avoided this place my dog would still be alive.Second chance, wife took our cat to them to make sure the lump he developed wasn't harmful. They concluded it was not but removal was a good idea. They said 950 so that's what we agreed on and budgeted for. I dropped him this morning and they're trying to upsell and scam me again! Told me there's several hundred dollars of "additional mandatory items". I politely declined but they were pushing hard. Long and short, they're more like a pushy used car dealer. Go elsewhere. I'll be telling everyone not to go here

Our animals have received care from several of Henniker’s Veterinarians, and they have always done excellent work for us. From an after-hours lamb emergency, to a surgical castration of a 285+ lb ram (2 of whose 4 horns are intimidatingly like those of an Oryx), to both routine appointments AND evolving allergy treatments for our dog, to a cancer diagnosis and subsequent euthanasia of a petulant -but-beloved Mini Lop rabbit, they have always gone out of their way to give thorough information, affordable services, patience, empathy, and top notch medical care. I only wish they treated Poultry!

We love it here! We bring our dog Boomer and our two ferrets Bella and Trixie here. Trixie had her adrenal implant placed this week and it was a breeze! The price difference for the same procedure at another place I called was double (meaning I only paid half of the other quote here)! I wasn't told she had to do any unnecessary testing or sedation, we were in and out very quickly, and Trixie is doing great! We have Bella scheduled for the same thing next week and I'm looking forward to coming back 😁

This staff is phenomenal. I Recently had an emergency with my senior German Shepherd, Ryker. They immediately got him in on what I have no doubt was another busy day. Everyone at Henniker vet has been exceptional with a very difficult case from our puppy dog Dr Olivia (apologize not going to get her last name right) was absolutely above amazing she took the time to care, took the time to explain everything all while keeping in mind our concerns. We went to them after some really horrible experience with other vets and honestly are so happy we found them!!!

Excellent care! I called to have my cat, Star, seen after 3 days of vomiting. My vet could not see her and referred to emergency vet. My coworker referred to Henniker as I had just moved to Hillsboro last month. Henniker offered me an immediate appt within the next hour due to a cancellation. Amazing! I was as able to pick up my cat, grab vet records of her history and vaccination s and was seen quickly. Staff copied my records, reviewed a plan of care giving options and estimate of charges. Dr. DeGennaro was wonderful...reviewing X-rays and labs. Star was given IV fluids, anti emetic and pain meds. I opted to bring her home overnight as there is no overnight staff, but asked to call if she was vomiting the next day. I called the next day as she had rested and had sedation, but was not eating drinking or using the litter. Dr. DeGennara gave me the option of coming in for IV fluids or overnight stay. I opted for the overnight after being given potential charges. She called first thing in the morning with an update and reported she started to eat and move bowels. She gave me a course of treatment and said I could pick her up today. So far so good. She is looking more alert. I was giving clear direction and instructions from the doctor and her support staff. I was also told that if anything happened on Sunday to call as there was an on call staff. Thank you very much for your expertise and professionalism. I will be making Henniker her permanent vet.

We have been going to Henniker Veterinary Hospital for 12yrs. They have always been available no matter the day or time. Typically when I need them it's been late at night or on a weekend. They have always answered the call and have come to my dogs rescue. They're first thought is always what is best for the animal! Thank you Henniker Vet's for Always being there for us! Extremely Friendly staff, caring Veterinarians..Great 2 door entrance and exit to keep our pets safe large waiting room with enough clinical rooms to accommodate and separate during these stressful times..They have taken great care with my dog Boeing, a Trellis Bay Hound from the BVI. Beginning with an emerency incident involving chewing gum they took him right away, his yearly check up and todate a leg injury. I would recommend them 100%..

Owner needs to update technology so customers aren't held hostage waiting to pay their bill, or get accused of theft, if they don't have an unreasonable extra amount of time wait, to pay. If your customers have other commitments and can't wait, there should be an appropriate alternative., besides calling "your trying to pay "customers, thieves. We will not be back, nor would we recommend.
