Heading back in a southernly direction from completed solar eclipse activities, I decided to use all the backroads. I was delighted to discover this meat packer, which had a consumer retail shop section. The cashier informed me that compared to my local large grocery retailers, they offer half the price and twice the quality. I bought a couple of large T-bones. I let them defrost, then gas-grilled them the next night, seven minutes per side (it came out medium to medium -rare). Wow! I think it may be the best I've ever had. I was gratified I didn't have to go to a restaurant to get it. I also seasoned the meat with one of the bottles of seasonings they offered.

Montshire Packing has continued to offer exceptional slaughter and processing services since they purchased the facility from PT Farm last year. They have retained most of the employees in the transition and continue to offer excellent customer service and attention to detail. They are always available to answer questions. Owner Mark Boyden is friendly, involved and responsive and helped make this a seamless transition for our farm business. We highly recommend their services.
