Drove from Niagara Falls, Canada on route to New Brunswick and was looking for a place to stay a night for a family of 3 and a dog.We found this gem of a campground, rented a cabin that slept four and it was pet friendly. The customer service at the front gate was awesome and very friendly as well as the lady working at the general store in the park when we went to buy some firewood. Washrooms were clean, cabin was clean, entire park was exceptionally clean and organized. It's location is great too, very short drive to the Ocean and close to lots of great seafood restaurants. This will be our go to spot from now on.Rooms: Clean cabins and public washrooms.Safety: This park felt very safe, they definitely are a family campground.

WOW! this has to be the most beautiful campground on the east coast. after driving 4 hrs through torrential rain, needless to say my nerves were a bit rattled. check in was very smooth, drive to our site 40ft long (just for me) was a bit challenging but would love to be here in the fall... given all the rain the ground was extremely soft which added to a challenge in parking but owners Amanda and Tim were extremely gracious and understanding. this is a must stop when your in the area and 30 min to the beach.Tim and Joy Coffey

Staff was very polite, restrooms were kept very clean, would of liked to stay a little longer. The sites were kept up.First time I have seen a walking map with distance on it. Also liked the Christmas in July idea, some of the Campers were going on all out.

Staff is good. Close to the beach. I was disappointed that the recreation center got rid of a bunch of things for the kids to do. The small building that was used for breakfast items is also gone. My wife grew up going here and it seemed they once had alot more going on for activities. If they started doing things they once did would definitely be a higher rating.

Super family friendly! Clean, well taken care of!Unbeknownst to us it was "Halloween" at the campground even without a costume my daughter was still given candy! This was my first time camping wakeda, but my second time visiting. Would recommend especially for family's due to the sizable park and mini golf!I only wish they had a pond or lake and this would be one of my favorite places.

If I could I'd rate a 4.5. We enjoyed our stay very much, but found the washroom/shower situation could use a bit more attention. Often there was only 1 of 3 showers in the bathhouse working and it was always an issue with people apparently inserting Canadian coins. We were there 6 days...not sure that was the actual problem. Perhaps get rid of the need for quarters? That being said, the grounds are beautiful, staff were all helpful and we liked the location. Will return and have already recommended this spot to others.

One of the nicest parks we have visited. A lot of effort goes into the grounds and the bathrooms are immaculate. The check in people were so nice. I’ll come back.Rooms: Grounds are beautiful

We camped here in July on our way to Maine. It was the perfect overnight spot. The grounds were emaculate and if you love birding, you're in for a treat. We even had an owl nesting over our tent!I wish there had been a change machine somewhere, as we were surprised after office hours by needing to pay for the showers. Otherwise we were treated kindly, felt safe, and look forward to visiting again one day.

This park was a five-star all the way. The front office staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We have a 40 ft RV and had minimal difficulty navigating through the park. The dog park was excellent. One of the best. No Wi-Fi for over the air channels. Depending on where you are in the park you may be able to get a station or two. Sell signal was good.

We use this campground as our base of operations for our trip around New Hampshire to Boston. It's a short commute to Newburyport where you can hop on the train to Boston, and a short commute to the outlets in Kittery as well. The campground is well kept, the pine trees are amazingly tall, the whole campground is peaceful enough. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful.I was a little surprised at $7 for a bundle of firewood, however it is a good size bundle that is well dried and cared for, as a result our campfire was roaring and enjoyable with very little smoke.Keep up the great work, I hope we get to enjoy another visit in the future

This was our first time at Wakeda. Definitely a big beautiful campground! We stayed in the tent loop and our site was gorgeous! Not only their campground is nice but their staff are so welcoming and helpful, their customer service is definitely top notch! I would not hesitate to go back there and it will become our to go place if we camp in NH!

If we could give wakita 10 stars, we would. Absolutely the best place we have camped at. The staff was very accommodating and security was very welcoming when we came in in the evening. Very clean restrooms, very clean. Shower rooms, Just an all around wonderful campground. Will definitely be back.

Very large campground with the majority of the sites being seasonal sites the rest of the sites are all fairly nice and most have decent shade. The prices for camping and their goods in the trading post are reasonable. The Laundry facilities are above average. I didn't use the bathroom/shower facilities, so I can't speak to that. The staff was friendly, but most of the seasonal folks we encountered wouldn't even acknowledge a wave or a hello on my part as they went by, although not a reflection on the management nor the campground itself, it was disheartening. Oh well.

Nice pine tree sites- fairly spacious. Tucked in the woods. Quiet. Nice grounds. Fun miniature golf. Bathrooms are pretty clean for a campground. It’s 25 minutes to rye beach and 20 to the wall. It’s essentially in Exeter. The reason for 4/5 is no wifi. I mean they have it in the store but not in the campground. .

We have been trying different campgrounds this year. This was by far the best weekend we have had so far. What a VERY clean and QUIET place to stay. I was surprised at how friendly the seasonal campers were. If you are looking for a relaxing place this should be your go to...we will definitely come back again.

This is a large, well established, maintained and managed RV park, with some tent sites and cabins. The park sits in a forest of large trees, mostly pines. Sites are large and there are many trailers that are kept here year round. Zero road/train noise, and facilities include several very clean bath houses, laundries, a large playground, dog park, miniature golf course, and a trading post. We were there the week before Memorial Day so the season was just gearing up. The 25 cent for 6 minute showers appear to be there to encourage water conservation, not make money.

Everyone here is so friendly. Staff is accommodating & personalable. Very clean bathrooms, showers & property. I haven't camped in 30 years, so was very pleased with individual private bathrooms & showers.. lol Staying there again in a few days & bringing our dog. I'm a sure he will like the doggie park. We didn't bring him for our first visit.. but, for a dog friendly grounds, some people do get a bit upset over dogs barking. I dont mind as long as it's not barking continuously. They are dogs. That's what they do.. My son & daughter-in-law have stayed there a week for few years now. They love it. Trading post, & laundry is handy.

Sometimes a diamond in the rough is right infront of your face. Wakeda Campground is certainly one of those diamonds. The staff here is incredibly friendly. The park is clean and impeccably maintained. The site I was on (PT4) was level and ;long (Albeit could have been a little wider).I was impressed with the care the staff took in keeping everything near and tidy for their friends and yes, this is how they make you feel. More like a friend than a customer. I interacted with the office on a couple of different occasions and received absolutely nothing but the utmost respect.I will stay here again. I may even venture into one of the very nice shady back in spots. :)

Very well kept campground. Nice play ground. Great location. Quiet. No water feature at the campground. The late check out of 3pm is strange... Would make more sense to have early check out like 11am. And let beach goers park in the field for the day vs new arrivals sitting around waiting all afternoon for absent campers to return and check out.

People are friendly. We booked last minute. Our site is very small with not much space between. However we are here for the week. Once Sunday hit it cleared out. The play ground is great. Hannaford is 10min down the road. There is lots of room to ride bikes and walk. Not a lot of golf carts speeding by.

Stayed in a cabin for a few days in May. The cabin and the bathrooms were maintained very well and so close to the cabins making it pretty convenient. The campground had friendly staff a cool little mini golf area and an ice cream bar on Saturday night. Only thing is the cabins and all other sights did seem a bit close to the other sights which seems to take away from the privacy/camping aspect of it but other then that a cool little getaway close to Hampton beach and you can’t beat the price in my opinion !

We love this family owned camp ground. It is extremely well maintained and very clean. Our family loves staying in the adorable cabins and playing mini golf and climbing on playground. It is a great location near beaches. Staff are warm and helpful! We will be returning!

This is one of the best campgrounds I have camped at lately. It is very well maintained, clean and staffed by extremely friendly people. The sites are spacious and well laid out. I wish we had more time to stay longer and look forward to returning again in the future.
