This store carries a variety of things, it Is a close out store so you never know the treasures you will find. Everything from food to yard care. You will be asked to sign up for a insiders card, which is well worth it. They ask for a number an a email. But you will then be able to take advantage of insider specials an crazy deals an all the lowest prices in the store. It is definitely a great opportunity.

I want to compliment the employees at this OSJL store. Specifically Maurice, who is always so helpful hunting for something I'm looking for in the food department. I frequently ask for his help in locating specific items. Also, thanks to Chris and Jane who on my last visit, searched and found a specific kitchen rug I was looking for. The personnel in this store are always cheerful and go out of their way to be helpful.

Disgusting. I'm sure they make enough money they could upgrade this facility. Only only one toilet available in the nasty bathroom. There is a reason I only go there once in a blue moon. Disgusting store. I have been to others out of state. They were nice.

I love this store! I love what they do for the community. I love the staff in our store. For example, cashiers were dancing at the cash registers today, we were dancing in the isles and everyone was happy to interact and share thoughts. It's not just a place to shop, it's a community store. I love it!

Most of the items are a good to great deal,especially some of the CRAZY DEALS are well, just crazy!! Got the stainless stand to sort out clothes from moving. Very happy with itWent up today for some carpets for the winter. Excellent assortment available with very reasonable prices. More than happy with our purchases.

I'm a fan of these stores. This store was much neater and cleaner than the three stores I recently visited in Rhode Island. The staff is more friendly as well. It's a big store there should be occasional seating for disabled people

What an horrible check out experience. I am going to be contacting corporate after the experience my husband and I had checking out with a very rude cashier. The way she behaved was inappropriate in every way. She argued with me over the price of an item, she argued where it was in the store; although I picked it up off the shelf so I knew 100% where it was. She argued of how long the line was long and how long it was going to take my husband to come back with proof of the price. She did this as my husband was walking back with the price. She argued over adjusting the price. Then she started cheerleading herself with another customer. Training needs to be done for your cashiers. I will be reporting this to corporate. If I could give you a negative star I would, which is sad because the last time I gave you a review it was five stars now adjusted to one.

It was just ok . There's a lot of merchandise at good prices. Ample parking. The bathroom was disgusting. Afraid to sit on the toilet. Prices were good.

This is a "salvage and end lot" type of store. Some very good prices but some items are priced the same as other stores in the area. Large variety of items, but being the type of store it is, you can't guarantee the same items will still be there the next time you go.

Can usually find what I'm looking for. This visit I was searching for a power strip. The one I had stopped working and needed it in a pinch. Well, there was only 1 left. You'd think they'd keep those stocked. Kinda important item. I was pretty lucky to find the one I found. The store was not too busy, so pretty much in and out. I also left with a couple other things. I do like this place though. Good prices for things you might need. The hours of operation are not like they use to be...thanks to covid and people not wanting to work! So if you are planning a trip there, I'd call before going.

Friday while rolling through I paid a visit to your store.A nice young man greeted me with a smile and a friendly hello as I came in.I quickly gathered a couple items such as soda pops, a bottle of water as well as a snack as I had urgency to get back to my vehicle and did not have time for anything else.When I arrived at the check out area there was a long line and a young woman rushing to get the line moving the best that she could.The woman in front of me had what appeared to be an over sized cart filled to the top and no offer for me to go ahead was insight.I went to the desk where the young man had greeted me and a woman was standing there staring at a clip board and smacking on her gum.I explained that my 91 almost 92 year old mother and my small dog were waiting in my car. That due to my mum having dementia and due to safety reasons I was unable to leave the car running in fear she would attempt to drive away and I was wondering if she could check me through with my few items to get back outside quickly. The woman looked at me as if I were speaking another language. The whole time I'm attempting to communicate with her she is smacking her gum. When I asked again if she could check me through she quickly snapped her head up and said no that she did not have a drawer in. That she did not have any intention on putting one in. She then stated that she was not working until later that afternoon and she was only there training new hires. A nice young man who was disgusted at this woman's display of rudeness let me go before him so that I could get back to my mother and dog as it was very warm out. While on my way out I explained to her that compassion and kindness are free and that I was sorry she felt that she needed to be the way she was with me. She rolled her eyes and continued to smack on her gum.I am truly disappointed at the treatment and I hope this situation is used as a learning tool for this woman. Reguardless, I will return again. The prices are great and it is quite apparent that not all who work at your store are this ill mannered. The young man who greeted me when I arrived proved that.

Went to store #405 -Groveton n.h. staff was very helpful, asking if they could help etc. Saw some staff helping elderly lady carry merchandise. Was very nice to see.

We were waited on by a young man named Rayjean last night at the job lot in Groveton. He was so pleasant and quite helpful with assisting us on purchasing everything on our shopping list.Just about every time we have visited this store we have been waited on by him and it has always been an enjoyable trip for my husband and I.Unlike some of the other employees he communicates and makes you feel welcomed.The store is very clean and things are easily accessible and usually in stock.When something isn't easily found this young man goes out of his way to ensure you are able to find it or something that would work in its place and to be honest even a few things not on the shopping list.Cant wait to see what spring brings for products and to come back to be waited on by such a nice young man as he is.Respectfully,Donna RileyNorton VT.

3/21/22 Update: The bathroom was clean this time. You could smell the bleach and there wasn't a pond on the floor. Store was organized and had hidden gems all over. Crazy Deals are a steal!Bathroom was a disaster. Mentioned it when we got there. When we were leaving, I heard another customer complaining about the mess. Thing is that when I went up to say something, customer service was commenting about having a floater on hand. It shouldn't have been a disaster over an hour later.

My family spends alot of time here for our pool products, snacks for us as we are keto and they offer a few options or for just basic house hold items. There is a little bit for everyone here. I docked their points because some of them seem to be grumpy alot but others go above and beyond for their customers. 4 out of 5 is the best I can give for now....

Twice now I've called to see what time they're open to, and both times I was told 7pm. And twice now I've driven 45 minutes to get there before closing, and it's been closed before 7pm.Seems like this store can use new clocks, because the employees don't know what 7pm is.5 star review down to 1 star, because I don't enjoy driving an hour and a half at $3/gallon for gas for absolutely no reason. And the kicker is the doors are always locked before 7pm, and there's always people inside shopping.

Great prices, not crowded, and one of the guys was super nice to me and very helpful to get me enrolled in their insider club discount program.Also, they do a great job enforcing their mask-up regulations. I was very pleased to see them remind two people entering to please mask up. Yay!! I wish every place of business would be that mindful and proactive to do the right thing, as we are all in this pandemic together. Kudos to you, Ocean State!!

I love Ocean State! Found some amazing socks to keep my and my kiddos feet warm and they are amazing! Found some nice thick gloves for my kids as well and those are usually so hard to find this time of year! Staff was very friendly and there wasn't a long wait ar check out

I am a frequent Shopper of Ocean State Job Lots. My Girlfriend Janice and I happened to be in the Northern New Hampshire area Tuesday evening and stopped into the Groveton New Hampshire Ocean State Job Lot store as we do everytime we are here and we were disgusted with our visit. Not only was the blonde woman at the service desk rude to myself but also to my friend who was with me. First of all it was around 6:30 or a little after. The moment we walked in she had an attitude as she made it vocally known that the store was closing at 7 pm on the dot and we had better make it quick. This was the first interaction with her.The next interaction was when we were cashing out. I felt it unnecessary that she tried to correct me while I was not only speaking privately to my friend but also I did not recall asking for her comments and input on our conversation. When we asked her to stop she said "why? Because you don't want to hear the truth? Typical." When my friend Janice asked her what she had said she informed us that it was closing time and that she had a house full of children to care for and that she didn't feel well so she didn't have time for us to stand there and visit.We paid for our stuff and left disgusted. The only good thing about the visit was the young girl who waited on us at the register was so sweet. She just kept looking at us as if to apologize for the rude womans comments and Behavior towards us. I am sorry to write in to complain about this. However I feel that this person should never be allowed to deal with customers if she cannot control herself. when I do come back to New Hampshire again I will not be going there again. I wish I could give you less than 1 star. Your customer service skills and just overall kindness is absolutely terrible and lacking in all departments. I showed up apparently 5 min before closing because i needed to get something for my child who was sick in the car. To be greeted by a very rude ill mannered cashier. Who rudely stated we close at six you’ve got 5 min. To which I turned around took my little children back outside and allowed my other child to continue being sick because clearly I was not supposed to enter your store. There are many other ways the unpleasant employee could have said that. But instead I hope you don’t lose too many more customers because of the lack of kindness, respect, or customer service skills.
