It’s truly an excellent campground very clean, well-kept well organized by the staff definitely worth the premium dollars to stay here. Only opportunities for improvement are small. One they do rent golf carts to pretty much anyone so the park is really quite overrun with golf carts everywhere. My wife and I were the only ones I saw many days just walking- lots of golf carts passed us full of people. The other thing is the Wi-Fi was weak in our area. The management did dispatch somebody to check the strength and they said everything was OK but we could not connect outside of just the very early morning. It’s such a nice campground so we will return despite these minor problems

If you have an Rv, you will probably like this campground. If you are tent camping, it may not be for you.We spent 2 nights here recently and don't plan to return as tent campers.Pros: the pools, the lake, the rangers were really nice and helpful, store was fully stocked but expensive, shady sitesCons: staff at beach couldn't answer basic questions about a canoe (which side is the front), most tent sites were tiny and there was NO privacy on ours. It was like they had taken two sites and made it into 3. We were right on the road and everyone walking by could see all our business. The campground lacked signs and was easy to get lost in. I was also surprised to see there was no life guards. We also needed first aid one day and they didn't have that. The noise from the golf carts and the RVS was too much for us.I guess if you were coming from Boston or another city, it may feel rustic and peaceful to you. It did not give off that vibe to us.

If you’re traveling through don’t stay at Danforth the Bluffs. We’ve camped the entire NE US and by far the worst stay of any. Not worth the money. The campsite we were assigned was like staying in a broom closer at a resort even though you’re paying resort prices. The locals laughed at us and asked why we’d stay there. The answer was simple we already paid and there was nothing we could do. I’d advise to steer clear.

Spent 9 days here this spring. Water was still off because of frost in ground and cold nights but the shower house was open and the water hot. Most of this huge place was closed off due to snow and mud. Our pad was gravel. Lots of room, trees, lakes, stuff to do in the summer when the resort fully opens. Must be a great place in season for families and kids. Would definitely come back again next spring before the crowds arrive.Nearby activities: Not much right nearby, you'll love the camping experience.Safety: GatedWalkability: Lots of internal roads and paths.Food & drinks: Office is well stocked.Restrooms: Clean and spacious.Picnic area: Lots of picnic areas and gathering places for socializing

some great sites, some not so good. dark dingy with dirt tracking ground, laced with pitchy pine needles. so it's a campground that is what camping is all about in some places. what is not acceptable is mold laced shower rooms, not all ,but 2 of 3 i found were. when i brought it to staff attention nothing was reconciled.was told they're getting renovated and didn't feel a need to put effort into cleaning mold. so I will be not returning to this DF bay maybe the bluffs wich is there55 plus area. site location was great except for those negatives. they also insisted on collecting every nickel 16 days prior arriving despite 50% down!!!!!!

Friendly employees all around from the store staff, maintenance workers, and park attendants and beyond. Family friendly campground with lots to do. Pricey, but you are bound to have a great time - rain or shine. Years of memories have been made here with my family!

We have camped there ever year since 2009. This campground has lost what keeps family’s coming back. Very little planned activity’s for kids, the camp store has turned into a clothing store with very little true camping supplies. We use to love doing tie die as a fun cheap thing to do as a family plus free advertising for the campground but they went from $6 to $15. We just stayed for the week of the 4th of July 2023 and saw a lot of empty sites. Danforths new marketing team needs to be aware. This is not the same campground we all knew over the years.Jamie

We stayed at Danforth Bay during the Fall of 2022. We originally had reserved a site in the over 55 Bluffs area of the resort, but upon arrival learned that our site was without water due to a well issue. In jumped Diane, the manager of the property. She found us an amazing site in the Danforth Bay area of the resort where we enjoyed 29 days of campfires, beauty and some much needed relaxation. We also met Jan, the evening Park Ranger and what a kind and thoughtful person she is. We give our stay 5 stars and send a big, big thank you to Diane for working with us to make this one of the best experiences ever for us.

Summer 2023: Just checked out after spending another beautiful week at Danforth Bay. The new pool is wonderful as well as being a salt water pool (both of them). We did not re-book for summer 2024 as we won't be in the area then but fingers crossed for a late fall season stay and early spring with family and friends. We thoroughly enjoy both walking and bicycling the campground, hiking Mary's Mountain, lounging on the lake, and chatting up with other campers as we do those things. We do have hopes for a longer stay in the summer of 2025. Until next time DB!Summer 2022: I am NH born and raised. We love Danforth Bay. Have been fortunate to acquire sites there at least 10 times. Thanks to Covid in 2020 was finally able to snag a site during summer months! YAY!!(previously was only lucky enough to get sites in early spring and late fall). The sites are huge. Two lake beaches to choose from, and the pool area choices are great. We don't have kids, ours are grown, but there are activities scheduled. This year we did bring the grandkids a couple days. Already rebooked for next year! Looking forward to it and bringing the cat, rabbit, and our 3 dogs. 😁 One thing I do miss though is I used to see rates on the web site but can't seem to find them now. It really helps to know for my budget planning. Wish they would bring that back so we could plainly see it. 😒

Update May 2022: it would have been nice to know in advance that the pool and the store aren't open. It is good to know there was Security on duty last night. The young lady was very personable.Everyone was very nice, friendly and helpful. Nicely maintained campsites, didn't use the pool but it looked good, the store has a good selection of necessities and souvenirs.

I have been bringing my family to Danforth bay for years. This year was awful. Not enough crafts for the kids, even though we were one of the first groups in line, events that were supposed to take place never did because employees never showed up to run them, security told us the pool was closed at 8pm when the sign next to them said 9pm. Normally it's a great place to camp, the sites and bathrooms are always clean, the lake and the pools are awesome to swim in, and the activities for the kids are great. This year was such a disappointment from the last several years that we are considering staying somewhere else next year.

This is the BEST campground I've Every Been to, I Hope I Go Back Next Summer, Everyone there is super nice, and really I wished I never left, There’s a pool a lake and there’s a movie theater and a gift store and concerts and games and bingo and a part Called the bluff which is for older people. If this review thing could go to 10 stars, I would had put it at 50 Stars. and at night we could have a campfire and the sky was filled up with STARS, It Was BEAUTIFUL.

Just want to give a massive shout out to this RV site, wife and I where there late August and the staff and site where both excellent. But a special mention goes out to Scott one of the park rangers. He helped us out with some maintenance on our RV after a valve problem with our dump. Not only providing a plunger to clear it but also a bunch of towels to mop up excess water to allow us to get on the road. Thanks buddy, much appreciated.

My kids loved it here. So much for them to do and everyone was very nice. Campgrounds were extremely clean as were the facilities. The girls who ran the activities for the kids were wonderful. Each week is a different theme and the kids always had something to do or make. Wonderful. I also like that it was a gated community. Loved the bike moguls for my son to ride. Lots to do. Next time we will stay a little longer. My kids didn't want to leave. : )

I spent a weekend here and it was my first tent camping experience. It was even more fun than I expected it to be! Not being the most outdoorsy person, I was happy to see that the bathrooms and showers were pretty clean and kept up with. The standard sites were adorable and spacious, but also provided some privacy from other campers. I would absolutely recommend this place and plan to visit again!

We have been trying to get a seasonal for 6 years and are still on a waiting list! Such a great experience and an amazing campground. There is a ton of stuff for the kids to do. We hope the new owners keep the experience of Danforth and the fun keeps going for all. Such a good time. Thank you Danforth!!!

This is my first visit, it is a large campground with a good layout. Staff were very friendly and accommodating (staff gets a 5 star). Seasoned wood may not have been seasoned well as it appeared to be green. Designated beach areas needed some TLC. Designated dog beach was not accessible. Staff went around cleaning fire pits of ash after departures. Looking forward to another visit.

Long time customer of Danforth Bay back again this season. We love this campground. The office staff used to be great. Our checkin by a new employee was great. However, today when I went in the store to purchase something, the cashier had a terrible attitude and was rude. I've never experienced that in the 17 years of coming here. Please let your employees know that their attitudes matter.

We have traveled to a few campgrounds during the Covid pandemic. I have found Danforth Bay's accommodations to their campground procedures to be one of the best we have experienced. Activities continue, but are done so in a way to allow folks to take precautions (ex- candy bar bingo is outside with the candy provided by the campground). They also strictly enforce mask wearing in their store. I have been here four times and our stay was excellent once again. Most sites are spacious and spread out. Golf carts are a little excessive but if you stay off the beaten path a little, there is much less traffic. I wish they would enforce their speed limit a bit more, but that is my only negative comment.
