Very well handled hedgehogs! I got my baby Zoom a few months ago and he's very sweet and well tempered. The breeders are very knowledgeable and helpful. There's a lot of very helpful hedgehog information on their website as well!

My hedgehog is very well socialized and friendly. When I first met him, he was so curious, and when I put him down he got a little shy. Sam gave me tips on how to pick him up and bond with him. It was such a good experience. I’m a first time hedgehog owner, and found all the information and supplies that I need at this shop. Sam really cares about these little sweet animals, and you can tell he has a passion for hedgies. My hedgie was worth every penny.

I've been waiting YEARS to make the trip from Mass to visit here. When the stars aligned and my boyfriend and I happened to be in NH, only 15 minutes down the road, we knew we had to stop in for a visit! We were welcomed by Sam and Blue; his handsome and friendly doggo. We spent the time chatting and handling his available hedgehogs. We fell in love and made the easy decision to take our sweet little boy Russell home with us. Before leaving with our new addition, he made sure to go over every step of caring for our hedgehog. He took the time to educate us and answered all of our questions. It was a very fun and personalized experience! We can't thank him enough for his time, knowledge, and hospitality. He is so dedicated to these animals and his business. He's beyond helpful and is truly JUST a text message away for any questions or concerns you might have. Granite State was awesome, I have been thinking of purchasing a hedge hog for few years now. I was definitely going to use this sight from day one my initial chat questions were answered so quickly and I knew after my first phone conversation this was where I was going to purchase our newest family member. It was quite a drive but once we got there we were introduced to our newest family member Needles. We were talked through all we needed to know with so much one on one attention I would absolutely recommend this breeder rather than a big chain pet store.

I'm a first time hedgehog owner i came to see Sam from Massachusetts and bought my girl Lily she is so amazing!! Sam is a sweetheart and so very knowledgeable i didn't leave without all my questions answered. And even when I got home and called he always answered the phone and answered any question I had even if it was miniscule. And he is very patient. I would definitely recommend Granite State Hedgehogs to anyone near or far if you're looking for a prickly friend!!

We had a wonderful experience with Granite State Hedgehogs. I was in touch with the owner via the live chat within minutes, and we reserved our baby quickly. Went to pick up this morning and the place was clean and inviting. Sam made sure we knew all of the basics, was patient with our small children, and we brought our girl home. She settled right in for a nap after a few minutes of exploring and we are delighted with her!

The owner was very polite, funny and welcoming. He explained just about everything I had a question on. The shop looks fantastic and was very clean with nice supplies and merch. The two shop dogs were sweet as well. We purchased scout two weeks ago and he is our first hedgehog. I would def go back here for another hedgehog purchase.

Our beautiful baby Matilda is super social and has been from the first time we picked her up. We had an easy and informative buying experience and the transition home was simple, having bought the home and supply kit fromSam also. As a first time hedgehog owner this place made me feel ready! Their shop was super cute and clean. Everything was very professional! The workers were also supper nice! Sam helped us pick out our stuff and get our baby. We also were emailed a form of his birthday etc and a booklet with hedgehog tips and trick that Sam went over with us in the store. Sam even carried the cage setup out to our car for us! I’m so impressed and happy with granite state. I loved it there and I’m sure you would too! Not to mention all the hedgehogs were in great shape, heathy, and super sweet! Definetly recommend!

I picked up my first hedgie last week from Granite State Hedgehogs and could not be more impressed! She came with a month supply of food, and the owner gave such a helpful explanation on her care, and also gave me a packet to take home which has been super helpful. Firstly I want to say Thank you Sam for what you do! You are an amazing person and I hope your business continues to flourish and grow! I drove to pick up my baby in January and have been in love since. He was socialized and so comfortable first time holding and is still this way. A very happy little guy! Sam provides you with all of the information you need for your new hedgie including a baggie of food. He also responds very quickly to any questions or concerns you may have. Got my baby hedgehog in September 2021. Made my deposit online and went to pick her up two weeks later. No hassle at all. The staff love the animals and know everything about their care and health. You can purchase a cage and travel case among other accessories in the store. You’ll be given a guarantee for accommodation in the case your hedgehog has a degenerative neurological disease.

The owner is very kind, knowledgable, and funny. He helped me connect with my new little baby, Cupcake, and helped me get everything I need for her. He answered every question thoroughly and in a way that was easily understood. He was so accommodating to our needs and was happy to go out of his way to help us. You could see the love that he has for every single hedgehog by seeing him interact with them and also by the way that he talks about them. I’m a first time hedgehog owner. I placed a deposit on my hedgie Arctic online, and went to go pick him up a week later. Sam the owner is so knowledgeable about these animals and are absolutely a passion of his. He is super nice and he went through all the things I need to know about them. Sam is also SUPER quick to respond to chats on the website. It was about 9pm one night and I thought there might have been something wrong with my sweet hedgie, and Sam responded almost immediately (there was nothing wrong with him). To me, that shows how much he truly cares for these animals and his business. My hedgie is super social and friendly because Sam takes the time to make them used to being handled. My girlfriend and I got our hedgehog Midnight about 2 weeks ago. Sam was very nice and told us everything we needed to know. We felt very comfortable there and I would recommend anyone who wants to buy a hedgehog to get one from here. We brought our girl Sunshine (now named Paris Quillton) home this past Saturday. We travelled to Franklin from Essex, Vermont and it was WELL worth the drive. When we walked in, we were so happy to see the owner, Sam. Sam is so knowledgeable and so passionate about the hedgies! He made sure to take the time to educate us on our new baby, even with people pouring in the door behind us. You can clearly tell that these little guys mean a lot to him and that he spends a good amount of time learning each hedgehog.As for the hedgehog, she is wonderful! She doesn’t mind being held, her ears touched, her face and belly touched…. As a matter of fact she seems to love it! She’s as sweet as can be and adapting nicely to her new home!I would 1000% recommend this place to not only anyone that may be interested in bringing home a baby themselves, but to others that want to expand their knowledge about such cute little creatures. Picked up my little baby a week ago Tuesday! Drove down to the shop from Maine and it was so worth it! Was greeted by Blue and Sam who were both very nice! Sam brought out my baby and let me get to know her and I fell in love with how cute and sweet she was! Sam spent around half an hour going over stuff with me and answering any questions I had. I highly recommend getting a hedgehog from them if you are looking to get one! Also even before I picked a hedgehog they were always so responsive in the chat on the website to any questions I had!
