The room was warm and the shower was hot. The sheets were clean but the room could use freshening and brightening by painting the brown wall a pale grey Color as well as using white bedding and also changing the red and black window curtains to a light color. A deep cleaning is needed too.Focus should be on the mouse that feasts on the breakfast buffet donuts. He seemed quite familiar with the counter and scared me right to check out. I do hope the new owners succeed considering there is a lot work needed.

Had a lovely stay here for the eclipse. New management were very friendly and accommodating, rooms were neat and clean, and the bedding was very comfortable.I'd recommending freshening up the decor a bit, and replacing the light bulbs with warmer light.Would definitely stay again :)

Very nice new owners, they were responsive, held our reservation during the turbulent time of post eclipse traffic apocalypse. Rooms were nice for price, and one of the only places that has two double beds so you don't have to book two rooms. There's a pool table, free breakfast, and rooms have microwave, coffee maker, sink, TV, and fridge/freezer. It's not a 5-star hotel, for the price and for my purposes it's perfect.

Stayed here for a solo ski trip at Cannon Mountain this season. The location is very convenient. It is less than 10 minutes from the resort. Rooms are small but cozy, clean, with a vintage motel feel. The television worked. The heater worked. Bathroom was clean and stocked with towels and toiletries. The bed linens were clean. The staff was very friendly, and the free breakfast beat my expectations. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for basic budget accommodations. Restaurant and dining options are limited in the area. I recommend the Dutch Treat for dinner. It is five minutes down the road in Franconia and provides a locals come as you are Apres Ski vibe.

The place is very nice and clean, but it's billed as being quiet. Three times, the guy next door sat in his vehicle to smoke for 30-60 minutes with his radio blasting, once at 4:30 am. They need to make some rooms for smokers or insist everyone follows a sensible quiet policy.Rooms: Very nice with a lovely view and all essentials.

My girlfriend and I have been homeless since the 3rd of January because we no longer wanted to live with my girlfriend’s father’s horrible ex-wife. Since we moved out, we’ve been staying here until we get back on our feet (as paying customers of course) and Ismael, the owner, I hope I spelled that right, has been kind enough to let us stay. He could have turned us away but he didn’t and hasn’t. He’s a real stand-up guy! Thank you, Ismael. I owe you one 🙂

Me and my husband and our 2 kids (6) and (10) came to New Hampshire for our first family vacation..overall the location was beautiful,great view of the mountains. We checked in on Wednesday and we’re going to stay until Saturday. The room was pretty much what you would expect for a motel, it was clean and pretty quiet where it’s located. Mine and my husband’s only issue was the beds are extremely HARD and uncomfortable to the point that we left a day early because we both had horrible night sleep the first 2 nights,The motel it’s self is decent so if you stay hear just keep in mind the beds are hard as rocks!

At 8pm I made a reservation to stay here and drove multiple hours to stay only to find a closed office with no clear instructions on what to do about it. There was no sign that said "call this number if you arrive after we closed the office." So we had to find another place to stay late at night and pay for a second hotel. The next morning I emailed the property about getting a refund. I heard no reply for a couple days so I called the property to follow up. All I received from the person answering the phone was rude and condescending behavior from the start of the conversation.

I stayed there for two night couple weeks back. Honestly, no matter what reviews state here, I had an great service, and excellent hospitality.Check in was smooth. I had accidentally left my key inside the room and was locked out, but I had to head out for the day. I informed them and they were able to get the key and leave it in the mailbox for us and also cleaned the room, which felt so good to come back to as I was on a 16 hour hike and room issues was the last thing I wanted.They had breakfast too. Options weren’t much, but definitely better than other places that just gives muffin and spoiled packaged fruit.A beautiful creek behind the room was pleasant.Would recommend this stay for friends and family and won’t hesitate to stay here again.

Recently stayed here with my husband and parents. The rooms are very small and not maintained well. They weren't clean I actually wiped everything down with a Clorox wipe and it badly needed it. The bathroom shower had hair in them that wasnt ours. The room was so hot it was 85 degree's even with the windows open all night. We survived the night but I'd recommend going elsewhere.

We've stayed here before without issue over a year ago. Our experience was fine and we figured since we were passing through the area again, would stop again.WHOLE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE. First off... why is there actual daylight bursting through the door? Literally bugs and critters can crawl through the bottom not to mention the middle is letting light through? That's a safety and security issue. Anyone could kick the door with how poorly maintained it is.Also... what owner just let's people blare music with the base up in the parking lot to where it shakes the windows? I have ear plugs in and can still hear it. It was well after 8pm.This is one of the worst stays o have experienced anywhere.It's funny....reading some of the other reviews with pictures. They really don't care about putting money back into fixing, cleaning, or remodeling things.

Staff were nice. Wifi was very good, no captive portal or VPN blocking, I was able to watch 1080p youtube videos over a wireguard VPN no problem. The electrical plugs badly need to be replaced they are so worn out that nothing I plugged in would stay put. The only usable outlets were the ones built into a lamp on the desk by the TV. There is next to no water pressure in the shower and the water isn't very hot. Both my dad and I had to kneel to rinse our hair. The beds were fine.

Alot of negative reviews on here. Honestly, this quaint motel was very nice. Yes, the rooms are small. Yes, it felt "old" .. but it was comfy and perfect for a night's rest. My wife and I had a great experience and will be back. The only issue we had was that we stayed in the lodge on a cold winters night and we would have liked the fireplace on the first floor to be on. Maybe even having a small hot chocolate/coffee station. Just a little recommendation. Overall, very nice motel for a night's stay in the white mountains.

What a beautiful place. We have a beautiful view of a pond surrounded by flowers, wildlife running around and mountains in the background. The room felt like an old 1960's mountain retreat and was very cozy and quiet. I highly recommend staying in the upstairs rooms in the lodge itself as opposed to the motel part of the property, the cost is the same but the coziness quotient goes up by about a million. There were microwaves and refrigerators in the room and a simple breakfast served in the downstairs part of the lodge.

We had a great stay here. The rooms were nice. The wifi was a little spotty it seemed until you picked the right one. Everything looked clean and felt clean. There was some dead bugs in the bathroom light which could have been cleaned up.The beds were nice albeit a little hard for my liking. The lodge was nice and quaint. Definitely plan on coming back here.

The quality matched the price and my expectations. Room and bathroom was clean. The breakfast was decent with enough options for everyone, even bananas. No waffle machine as from one of the photos. Complaints were that the wi-fi was slow and the cleaning products smell was over powering. Please use a more environmentally and human-safe product with no fragrance.

Been a little disappointed after our 1 night stay. Rooms are definitely just too old and could use some redoing. Pricing is good, but we did not feel comfortable at all. Could have been cleaner. Rooms terribly smelled after cleaning sprays. Some of the other guest hanging around the perimeter did not give us a safe feeling.

Disappointing lodging.We had NO HEAT during a February 2022 stay, with near zero temps. We were very grateful they brought us a space heater right away, but it took hours before the room (& we) warmed up. The TV/remote didn’t work, so we couldn’t watch TV. The shower water was hot but the water pressure was inadequate. The red drapes had white smears on one end. Both cabinet doors were off on the vanity. The circuit breaker tripped while running the little hair dryer and space heater. The tiny coffee pot in the room didn’t work properly; we had to continually toggle the on/off button to make a cup of tea. And the parking lot was a dangerous sheet of ice, no salt or sand had been put down. No partial refund was offered and no one checked in on us. Not recommending this motel for a winter stay, maybe warmer months would be better.

Loved this stay we booked at the last minute and it was in a quaint small town and was clean and homey. The a/c worked great and the curtains kept the light out making it easy to sleep. The man in the office was nice as well. In the morning they had breakfast and it was good. We enjoyed the feel of the game room and the fireplace. Would stay again

Hubby and I booked for our vacay end of March, room was clean and cozy, bathroom clean, and most important to me, the drapes were clean and smelled nice. Any hotel that's usually what I look at. Beautiful river right behind the room with a place to have a fire, too bad it rained my weekend. One star taken only because the bed was too hard, maybe a mattress pad added. Manager was super friendly and the lodge had an awesome pool table

If there was a negative 10 for this scale, that’s the rating I would give this place. My wife and I arrived at 8pm on a Friday night in early March. We were celebrating our anniversary. We walked into our room, it was an ice box. I don’t know how long it had been since the heat was turned on in that room. We turned up the heat but it didn’t get any warmer. I had to fall asleep in my winter hat and jacket. THANKFULLY we always travel with extra bedding- just in case! The sheets had old blood stains on them, pillow cases stained, etc. When we woke up in the morning, there was no hot water. We called the office and he said he’d be there in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later he showed up and said he can’t fix it now but can transfer us to another room. Another 30 minutes later we had not heard from him. We had multiple activities planned so we couldn’t sit around and wait for the guy to transfer us- we had already pre paid for our activities. Not to mention, whose to say the next room would have been any better? We spoke to the man running the place and let him know we cannot stay here. He agreed to refund us for one night. It’s been months, several phone calls, and we still have not received the refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE unless you are purposely looking to stay at a giant sh*t hole.P.S- there were also a bunch of PUBIC hairs in the bathroom,” and the hair dryer didn’t work.

We checked in around 5pm, put our bags in the room, and immediately went out to get dinner--we came back around 9pm to go to bed only to find several brown dirt (??) stains on the bed sheets. We called the front desk to see what our options were, and the front desk manager said "what do you want me to do?" We then asked what our options were, and if a partial refund was possible, and he said "we don't do that." He refused to give us any helpful feedback or solutions. We're now sleeping on dirty bedsheets because the motel is at full occupancy, and the front desk agent refused to help us or even send new sheets. Just know that the rooms are TINY and dirty, the front desk agent is hostile, and no care whatsoever was shown when we voiced our concerns. Not tryns be a karen, but sleeping on random dirty bedsheets is really gross.

It was a holiday weekend and th prices were through the roof. I felt fleeced. It was not at all worth what I paid.The place was not very clean. There were hairs (from shaving?) on the counter around the leaky faucet, cobwebs in the sink area, etc.Also, the place was seems to have partly finished repairs, where things were replaced, but the paint job didn’t reflect the upgrades. The TV was taped together and there was a crack in the window.

My family loves to spend time in the mountains and after trying many motels this quickly became our "go to" place. It is one of the cleanest with plenty of space for us to stretch out. The staff are extremely friendly. During one of our most recent stays my son accidentally left his favorite stuffed animal behind. We returned the following weekend and they had held on to it for him. Such a great place!

Very nice motel.. Very clean. We enjoyed a great night during the first snow storm of the season! Managers were very nice. We asked for rooms next to each other, as there were three generations traveling together. Heat worked in both rooms we rented and it was very quiet! Definitely coming back to this motel again!
