My daughter and I stayed for the night after skiing at nearby Cannon mountain and it was wonderful. We were greeted by a lovely lady who made us feel so welcome. The inn had a warm wonderful feel. There was a fire going in the fireplace and we really felt at home. The room we had was spacious with a queen bed and twin bed. Even though we were on the second floor facing the street it was very quiet, especially later at night. The continental breakfast was very good in their dining room. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommend it.

The inn has that old New England feel. It was warm and inviting. There were cookies and beverages available in the lobby at check-in. They have a dining room in the first floor for breakfast and dinner and there is a pub that serves food on the lower level. The food and service at the pub was great. Our room, which includes a private bath was nice. We only spent the one night. The only issue with the place was the smell of sewer gas. We didn't smell it in our room, thankfully, but you could smell it in the entire rest of the inn. We had planned on hanging out with friends in the the pub lounge to play cards, but had to go to their cottage instead to get away from the smell. I would stay there again, provided the sewage issue has been resolved.

They were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. I had some pretty good vegan breakfasts there. They will work with you on whatever your diet is. By the way if you like horses you can ride horse next door. The views in the area are beautiful. By the way the poet Frost's Cottage is close by this Inn.Food & drinks: They have a restaurant and night club in the inn. They have a library.

The new owners here have stepped it up versus past years. We came for Thanksgiving dinner. The buffet was delicious. Interior of the restaurant and lobby and common areas has been revitalized and feels fresh and cozy. Our kids had a nice time playing foosball and video games in the basement, working on a puzzle in the library, and feeding the horses in the meadow behind the inn. We enjoyed reading some magazines by one of the fires. Cocktail in the bar was excellent. The view of the mountains from the front of the inn is as majestic as ever. We’ll be back.

My husband and I have been back home for a week now, but the warm memories of our 4-day stay at Franconia Inn continue to delight. From the attentiveness of the staff to the soothing atmosphere of this tastefully appointed gem, we felt so fortunate to have found this rare treasure tucked away in the exquisite White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Had a great little getaway at this unique inn. The owners are actively renovating and you can really tell how much care and attention is going into it. We experienced great service by all staff, and especially Rose who suggested off-menu options based on her conversations with us. There’s so many features to this place you could come during different seasons and never get bored.

Everything about this place was been wonderful, but 5 stars fails to do justice to Rose, the bartender at the pub. Rose is one of the most attentive and intuitive bartenders I've ever experienced. She was an expert at suggesting cocktails, and was a complete joy during the entire evening. We like to always go and find new places, but our experience at the pub alone would make us come back to the Franconia. Additionally, the owners were very visible during our stay and exceptionally kind!!

Beware! The entrance and lounge are welcoming and characterful if not a little quirky. Sitting on the sofa in front of the gas log fire was very relaxing. However, the bedrooms are truly awful and in desperate need of refurbishment. Probably not updated for 40 years, the bathrooms are basic and very dated, the bedrooms have exposed pipework, rusty old radiators are overpainted with galvanised paint to disguise their condition and air conditioning is by old, poorly fitting 'window rattlers' (not technically air conditioners at all!). Such a shame as could be so much better with some investment.

We hosted a weekend long wedding celebration at the Franconia Inn. Andrew and Linda were amazing. They worked with us to create a spectacular experience for our guests. The food was great, it offers a variety of unique guest activities, and the location is stunning. The Inn has the classic New England charm that we were looking for. Everyone who attended had a great time and we look forward to returning again.

FranconiaInn is a great place to stay while exploring the area. The room and breakfast were excellent, but what was even better was the super friendly staff and owners.I made a booking mistake, and had no reservation in a fully booked hotel. But they were still able to not only accommodate us, but even honored the original price and giving us the best room of the hotel at no extra charge.Definitely would stay here again.

I've waited since July 2023 to write a review of our experience at the Franconia Inn hoping to having a different perspective from a distance. The Franconia Inn is one of those places that you drive by for years until one day you say, I've got to try this place out. It looks so special! Well, perhaps the ownership transition impacted the magic. The room we booked online was not at all as the pictured room ( we are aware that looks can be deceiving). The room was clearly outdated, however we were ready to give grace to new owners in the midst of transition until getting into bed at night. Thankfully, an understanding and kindhearted clerk was at the front desk and saved us from a long drive back home ( about 4 hours) at 9pm because we could not have slept in that room. She found us another room for the duration of the stay. Terrific! This desk clerk is indeed an angel! The next day, a different clerk insisted that our concern was not what we suspected ( this felt like the definition of gaslighting! Like we made up the situation.) This did not feel good. Again we made the best of the situation. Went about the rest of our time there. Not sure if the owners were notified of this incident, however; in our hearts thinking an owner could have simply said, "we heard you felt your room was unsatisfactory, so sorry this happened" would have been such a simple act of kindness and made a huge impression. So now it's been several months, it is good to read such stellar reviews of the Inn. We wish the new ownership godspeed.

Had dinner here in June. The food was Amazing!! The Cannoli Cake is to die for! Chef Matt came to the table personally to ensure we were enjoying our dining experience to the fullest! What a great place with very friendly, professional staff. Will definitely eat here again when up in the area!!

Great spot! Some folks who were also staying at the hotel complained that there are no televisions in the rooms but we had no issue with that. The pool is fun and the hotel staff was lovely!

Some updates from new owners but rooms are still a little dated. Service was bad both in dining room an especially in downstairs pub (which is the inns main attraction in my book nice old style pub game room fireplace) the pub was understaffed and the bartender was rude and has zero personality. Breakfast was good pub food was average at best. Hope success for new owners as it has been a must stay for us each winter for years, but we were less impressed recently.

Staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Dinner was made on their outdoor grille and absolutely delicious. Renovated lobby & dinning room are warm, sunny & so inviting. But my favorite part? Hanging with friends and making memories whether it was down in the cozy bar & lounge, recapping our morning hike in the breezy screened-in porch or walking the grounds to the crystal clear river which winds through the property. Inspired to plan a family reunion at this gem of a place!

Wow wow wow. We stayed in the cottage which was absolutely magnificent. We had dinner in the pub downstairs, the food was outstanding and there was a live band!! Everything was absolutely wonderful. Bring your swim suit, they have a hot tub! The new owners were right at the front desk and were super welcoming! It sounds like they have some great ideas for the place while also keeping the cottage charm. We will absolutely be back.

Amazing, amazing place. They were a tad short of help(who isn't these days) but that mattered not. The place is clean top to bottom. The breakfast was excellent each morn we were there. The daily chocolate chip cookies were delicious too.The brew pub downstairs is an absolute treat. The atmosphere and international clientele make for an excellent evening. This place has it going on and we wouldn't hesitate returning.Oh, and the fall foliage...forget about it!Simply gorgeous throughout the region.Well done and thank you Franconia Inn!

We are locals who in the past enjoyed dining at the Franconia Inn. During Covid and through the sale of the property, dining and service became hit and miss, so we just stayed away. Tonight we tried it again, and it was a completely different and wonderful experience. The new chef was offering smoked pork ribs, and we gave them a try. Wow, some of the best ribs I have ever experienced, and the appetizer was huge. Our waitress, Rose, was so gracious and kind, and we will defiantly be going back. Congratulations to the new owners for their efforts, and we feel it is on track to be very successful. If you have had a bad experience in the past few years, trust it is turned around and you should support their efforts.Kindly,Terry

I've been going to this fantastic Inn with my family almost every summer since I was a young girl. It didn't seem in the cards for a trip up to Franconia this year but my parents surprised me with a last minute night over at this gem of a destination. The new management and staff are doing a fantastic job holding up expert standards to a quality time at a quality inn. I'm so happy to see they've kept the game room as it has been for decades. The bartender was excited to help create a yummy drink for me that catered to my allergy situation. Our waitress in the dining room was very friendly and attentive as well. Such a great evening. Thank you everyone at the Franconia Inn.

We were at the inn to visit friends that were staying there for the weekend. We spent the evening downstairs in the lounge in front of the fire and then had a wonderful meal there as well. The service was extra special. Our friends thought the rooms, hot tub and amenities were inviginglh comfortable.Franconia Inn is definitely a destination experience not to be missed.

Mountain inn. Great. Horseback riding, bike shop nextdoor, swimming pool, and swimming hole! Food and beverage great. Old school charm. Great location for mountain outings. Families ok. Gliding/soaring airfield across the road.Nearby activities: Franconia Notch, Canon Mountain, The Flume, Crawford Notch, Cog, Mt Washington etc

Beware of the 10 day cancellation policy before booking here, they are completely inflexible about it. I had to cancel my stay due to the fact that I would have been coming from Vermont and the catastrophic flooding and federal emergency made travel no longer an option. I called six days in advance but was given zero flexibility on the cancellation policy despite the circumstances.
