This Best Western is fine. I knew that going in. I wanted a spot with an indoor pool not too far from Santa’s Village. This fit the bill. They charge you to check in early. And by early, anything more than an hour prior to 3pm ($20). We checked in at like 1:50pm but the guy was nice and didn’t charge us.Our first room smelled really bad. I was going to deal with it but then my 3 year old had to go to the bathroom and we noticed blood on the bathroom wall (I used a damp tissue and it pulled away bright red). We told the front desk and they moved us to another room. This one smelled much better and was thankfully blood-free. It’s not the cleanest place I’ve been stayed in, but it was fine. We just wore slippers hahaTh pool is actually decent, as is the breakfast they serve every morning. And the staff was nice, especially the younger guy who works during the day. So all in all, it’s fine. I’d have rated even higher if the cleanliness was a bit better but we’d stay again.

DIRTY.. Place is going downhill we stayed back in 2020 it was ok but at least it was clean. The first room the shower looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in MONTHS! The second room was cleaner but still not up to par. If we weren’t so tired from the drive we would have stayed elsewhere. Also musty throughout the front desk area and halls.

The room we were Originally given had vomit or some type of yellow substance along with mold in the toilet, was given another room on the first floor, the curtains were stained, the shower was extremely gritty, the room smelled terrible, pool was nice no hot tub, the noise of doors slamming and people going in and out of rooms and up and down the hall way kept my kids and my husband up all night. Would really like a refund to be honest. Wish I would have stayed at the original hotel I booked honestly

The staff was tired, but functional... unlike the AC. The room was fine, but the hallways and lobby had quite an "unpleasant" smell. Looks a bit like a prison on the outside, and has uneven floors on the inside. Honestly, there's a Hampton Inn 10 minutes up the road. It's a 3-star hotel and their rooms probably have functioning air conditioning.Rooms: Acceptable I guessNearby activities: Skiing/SnowboardingWalkability: The floor is wooden and kind of uneven, but walkable.

Don’t bother with this place unless you have low expectations. This place looks WAY better in the pictures than in reality…seriously! The outside reminded me of a nursing/rehabilitation home. The lobby was very small but did smell clean and the staff at the front desk was friendly. That’s all I can say about that. I was given the keys to a room that smelled so bad of old, stale cigarettes that I wanted to gag. The place is supposed to be smoke free…clearly that was untrue and when I went down to the front desk they didn’t seem the least bit surprised. I was given another room and it didn’t smell like cigarettes but did smell very stale. The room had a broken alarm clock and microwave that didn’t work. When trying to see if it was plugged in, I found layers upon layers of dust in the back. The bathroom was extremely tiny and had not been cleaned very well. The outside and inside of the toilet had clearly not been cleaned and/or not cleaned well. There was mold on the ceiling above the shower and other water damage indicators. Around 2am there was loud banging of doors and loud walking above my room. It was so bad it woke me out of my sleep. This place is nothing more than an overpriced motel. I didn’t bother with breakfast or the pool. The breakfast area was tiny and cramped and again, looked nothing like the pictures. Going to visit the pool no longer appealed to me. I just wanted to get the hell out of this place. The Only positive thing that I can muster up is that I had a very nice view of the White Mountains. The rest of the stay was very uncomfortable and I would never stay at this particular Best Western again. Ever. If you choose to stay here for whatever reason, lower your expectations.

Was here on a business trip and was very skeptical staying here based off the reviews.Upon checking in I noticed a pleasant fragrance and cleanliness to the lobby, my room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the October foliage. My room was very clean and didn't notice any issues or concerns with the overall room, the AC/heating unit was fully functional and quiet. My only complaint is the gym, the only weight machine is a cable machine which was partially broken, otherwise there is an olyptical and treadmill to use and a TV.Overall I'd recommend staying here.

First time i stayed here; i stayed with my boyfriend and imma give it 4 stars cause it wasn’t bad at all. The service was pretty great; they came when we asked it needed stuff. We had to move rooms 3 times the first time because it had a weird smell in our room so the lady at the time moved us to another room. Second room was perfect but then had issues with the people upstairs stomping and keeping us up all night (of course not the hotels fault) so they offer to move us and we got put up on the second floor and stayed there for the rest of our trip and loved it. the service was great and happy they helped us. <3The pool was awesome and the best one we went to; most hotel poolsare not that deep so we enjoyed it no complaints about that at all! We love swimming!Don’t even get me started on the amazing breakfast; my boyfriend and i enjoyed it. The breakfast room was small and busy but it was fine. They had all sorts of bread and bagels, muffins, eggs and other breakfast stuff. Waffle makers and all type of juices. They also had amazing hot coco (my favorite) Then a nice yogurt machine with a little topping bar that was nice and a good view of the pool when we ate. Breakfast was 7-10 so we had plenty of time to get there and it was always filled and checked up by the staff. I had no complaints about that at all. Best breakfast i had at a hotel in a long time. They also had a washer and dryer but one was out of order and when i went to use it someone was using them all up seem like they were doing a household full of clothes so i couldn’t use it but yet again that’s not their fault just wanted to share that lolI would definitely stay here again when i go back up to New Hampshire and definitely recommend this to everyone!Safety: Felt safe the whole time!

The location is excellent. Our room was very clean, the front desk people are super friendly and very helpful. The water in the swimming pool was a little cold and swimming pool area was not warm; would be good to have a hot tub. the extra blankets in the room would be helpful. The breakfast is very simple. Would be good to have some bread and butter. The coffee & tea is excellent and any time 24/7. Thank you for this. BTW l: we had a good time. I stayed in this hotel again this year and it was really enjoyable stay, good hot breakfast, excellent service, the great view of sunrise. Would be great to change pillows, they are kind of uncomfortable. Thank you.

After a disappointing booking with airbnb we needed 3 rooms quickly. Booking took less than 5 minutes. Rooms were clean, had great ac and a complimentary breakfast to boot. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again. Family loved that there was a pool to cool off in on one of those extremely hot days at the beginning of July. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Summary: Avoid this hotel, the hygiene is non existent, cockroaches in your room, pee-stained sheets…I was here on a roadtrip with my family. I travel a lot for work so I a have a good idea what I can and cannot expect at a certain price point. I can live with a hotel that is a bit rundown (it is: it feels like a nineties hotel), but I expect just one thing: cleanliness. I thought Best Western would guarantee some sort of standard. It does not: I am truly surprised best Western allows this hotel to bear its name. Our room smelled like wet dog or something, the sheets smelled like someone had urinated in them and there were stains. We saw a cockroach running on the ceiling - before he dropped on the floor and went who knows where. Imagine having to explain to your family they have to sleep with the thought that a cockroach might fall from the ceiling in their bed while they are sleeping. Imagine paying $200 for that room. We avoided taking a shower in the morning because the shower/bath was of the same hygiene level as the rest of the room. I don’t think they get a health inspection very often..FYI: for people with coeliac, breakfast does not have gluten free options (we luckily anticipated that). For people that care about the environment: literally everything is thrown away (plastic and paper plates, no recycling…) most third world countries I visit do better. On the bright side: staff at the reception was nice and kind.

I would let you decide if you want to stay here or not.We booked for about 4-5 days. When we came to hotel, no greetings, no smile from front desk.In room, tv fridge and microwave were plugged in using power strip. You can only use 2 of them at the same time otherwise strip would trip. Called front desk 2 times but problem remained and we ended up unplugging tv.Room service was subpar. Wouldn’t make the bed when we will be back after sightseeing. Asked front desk it was made next day but not the day after. So we stopped asking. This may not apply to all but I needed printer and it was there and working but no way to connect to it and not much help from front desk. Asked me email and then print on her personal printer. Point being printer was there but couldn’t use it.Swimming pool was good. But be very careful, floor was slippery inside pool. And 3 feet marker rope was lose and I ended up almost drowning. I am not good at swimming. Accident might happen.Generally ice machine is on each floor but here it was tucked inside drinks room all the way down. No biggie but unusual. Please make guests feel welcome. They are paying customers.Good things : Breakfast and location. Near to mt Washington.

Don't book here if you care about cleanliness. Cheap worn out and smelly carpet with pet hair and dust. The AC was making a huge noise all night and we couldn't sleep at all. I paid $226 for a sleepless night.Surprisingly, the bathrooms were cleaner compared to the rooms.I will never book again here. There is nothing around, no decent restrarunts close to it. Go to the town Littleton which got pretty decent motels and stay options compared to this one with access to great restaurants.Noteworthy details: None

Rooms could have been cleaner. Stayed in pet friendly room and charged per pet which is fine but I’d expect room to be cleaned way better seeing as previous guests were also charged which I’d expect to be the extra cleaning fee that would need to go into a room that allows animals. Rugs were worn and tattered along with other less cleanly areas and definite updates are needed.Nearby activities: All around the beautiful state of New Hampshire.

This hotel is at a great spot. Can’t be closer than that to the 93 highway. The view outside was incredible. All the restaurants around were closed. We had to go to Littleton to have diner. The breakfast was ok.We found broken glass on the ground of our room and the lady at the reception didn’t care about. It could have been dangerous.I was sincerely disgusted by the smell in the room full of humidity. My main tip : keep your shoes. Not clean enough for me.

Room was an absolute disaster. Burn mark in the carpet, dusty, broken toilet, broken dresser, and a stain on the ceiling. As soon as my party walked in we were hit with the smell of dog, the room obviously wasn't clean as well as it should have been. If you're going to charge extra money if my own dog makes a mess, I'd appreciate the previous occupants' dog smells at least be properly clean. If it's a pet friendly room then either the carpets need to be removed or a deep clean needs to be done after a guest leaves.

On 7/10 I was first sent me to a room that was occupied: lights on with messy sheets and clothes and empty takeout containers everywhere. I immediately noped out and went back to the front desk. I was then sent to a room on the upper floor. This room appeared nice. I sat down at the desk and got to work. An hour later I saw something crawl up the wall. It was a BEDBUG. I demanded a refund and left. It was 11 PM and I was without a place to stay!

Great location however fellow Americans beware. Go to a private place that invests their money pack into the facility. This place is stuck in the 80s and rooms are in limp mode. The structure is mostly wooden so ask for a top floor if need be. We were woken up constantly by above room due to creeking cracking floor joists.Location is good for the white mountains though.Bottom line, book somewhere private to help a fellow American business.

The comforter on one bed had stains on it and the floors were extremely dirty. In addition, the rooms smelled like mold/mildew. The amount of money being charged is absurd. We’ve stayed at plenty of Best Western facilities in the past that were fine but would not recommend staying here. Can’t comment on the breakfast as we wanted to get out of the facility as soon as possible the next morning. Not recommended at all.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. Booked a room here because the hotel is listed as "pet friendly, no fee". Yet, when I got there, I was informed at check in by the very unfriendly receptionist that there's a $20 pet fee. However, because there was no pet friendly room available, the pet fee is $100. Nowhere on their website did it say that the pet fee was $100. When I said that I wasn't going to pay $100, the receptionist handed me my credit card back without saying anything verbally even though the look she gave me said "if you don't want to pay $100, you can get the heck outta here". I will not be coming back to this BW after such poor service.

They had a new person at the front desk, our room was called in ahead of time for a few days in advance. The front desk lady booked us for the wrong day, and then we were charged the full amount for the room because we didn't show. They tried to get us to pay only 50% of the room after we argued that it was booked for the wrong day. This place is poorly managed and not worth the time, loss of money, or stress that me and my family had to endure.

DECENT STAY -- BUT COST TOO MUCH:Despite how costly lodging is anywhere in New England, it's still galling to pay $204 (with taxes) for what was a small, simple room (and that's after a "Best Western Rewards" $20 discount). I take one star off just for the relatively lousy value. That said, everything else was great .... clean room with all the amenities (including fridge and microwave), rock solid WIFI, and a good night's sleep. Even the fake scrambled eggs and home fry potatoes in the morning really worked for me. And ... got a bunch of points towards my next "discount," I guess.

Stayed in a room with a dog, booked online about a week in advance and it was reasonably priced.Room was clean and simple, there was a decent sized pool that was nice, an exercise room that was really just two cardio machines and a multi function pulley machine.24 hr coffee station that was decent, and complimentary to go continental breakfast.Pleasant staff.Really nice views (not from our room but from pool area and outside, from what I understood the even numbered rooms had the views and that's an extra charge for one of those).I would stay again

This place is dated and dirty. Ran the AC all night, it was noisy and did not dehumidify the air. The breakfast was powdered eggs and microwaved grey links that would qualify for are you kidding me? The floors were dirty in our room to the point that when we showered you could see the dirt come off our feet. Wear slippers if you stay here. We have stayed at a fair number of Best Westerns and are members of the club but this one is a no go. Look elsewhere.

Originally thought it was a good price considering it included breakfast and an indoor pool. Nice area. One side had a nice view, the other faced the parking lot. Lobby was very nice but the entry way was very dirty. Comfortable beds. Could use some updates: hair dryer barely worked, toilet seat was the wrong size and shape for the toilet itself. Rooms could have been cleaner: some debris on the carpets, mold under the lip of the sink, broken glass in the picture frame on the wall. Saw cockroaches on the carpet on our last day. Probably would not stay here again.
