Just had a wonderful impromptu date night at the Blue Bear Inn. Immediately felt welcomed, the bartender Bryan was great to chat with and made amazing drinks, personally loved the Moscow mule 😉 The owner Lori checked in on us to ensure everything was to our liking. Delicious and fast food, excited to try more dishes from the menu! The place was buzzing and had live music. Definitely recommend and will be back for sure!! Great stop if you’re in the area to enjoy some skiing, hiking or want a romantic weekend away in NH.

My wife and I stayed at the Blue Bear Inn after a day of skiing at Crotched Mountain. The Inn is extremely close (~5 minutes) from the mountain and easy to get to after a day of skiing. Brian checked us in to our room and was very accommodatingto speak with me and give a tour of the building. We then had drinks and dinner at the Windlow Tavern, and had a lot of fun! It was great meeting others who were at the tavern as well as the owner, Lorrie. We spent the night having drinks and chatting at the bar. Our room was very nice and we loved the shower! We had breakfast the next morning with others who stayed the night. We recommend the Blue Bear Inn and would love to go back in the future!

What a delightful experience we had meeting Lorrie and staying in this warm and wonderful Inn! She gave us the honeymoon room and it was fabulous! We highly recommend it! It was clean, bright, pretty, and the Sunday breakfast was delicious! We loved how easy it was to talk to Lorrie and would look forward to being there again..We were there one night to celebrate our niece at her wedding and wished for more! I bought my family members a nights stay here and I'm sad to hear that they were treated poorly by the owner. Check-in is from 4-8pm. My family arrived at 6 and were immediately berated by the owner for not calling ahead. Later they found there to be no hot water left and asked the owner if there was something she could do. The owner rudely brushed off their concerns and told them they could leave and find somewhere else to stay. For the prices this place charges this is completely unacceptable. This was supposed to be my gift to my family members and instead it turned into an experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemies. I'm ashamed of the experience I put my family through by choosing this place.

Lorrie and husband Bruno have created the perfect getaway and retreat for those looking for cozy comfort and delicious food by their chef, Kenn. The Inn also includes a retreat area for sewists/quilters. It is a well lit space with lots of tables, comfortable chairs, ironing boards and cutting tables. Our group had a wonderful time with very good meals 3 times a day! Best retreat ever and already booked for next year!!

WHAT A GREAT CHOICE!My great friends got married in a City nearby and we were looking for places to stay for their wedding. We got recommended to check Blue Bear Inn and we made the right choice! My friends and I booked about 5 rooms for the weekend and we loved it!Lorrie (who is the owner) was very welcoming and made us feel like family. The service was great and the place was amazing! From the swimming pool to the Tavern for drinks and dinner.We really enjoyed our time over at the Tavern where we met Brian who manages the bar. Brian was a spectacular host that made us feel at home. He sure does whip up some good drinks and conversations. There's a certain type of Cognac that we like and we did not see it on the first night at the bar. Brian asked us what was the name of it and by the next night he got it for us! Now that's A-1 customer service!Thank you to Lorrie, Brian, and the rest of the Blue Bear Inn for your hospitality and we WILL SEE YOU AGAIN SOON!-Johnson M.

How to describe better than wonderful... excellent... amazing...The exterior looks like a well maintained authentic place of American heritage. The inside somehow maintains this feel while being fully renovated and sparkling new - a fine hotel from beds to linens to flooring. Even the new wallpaper seems to take you to a time from long ago. A beautifully appointed decor and simply functional and modern renovation, top to bottom by owners who have traveled the world and experienced thousands of hotels in many cultures. They have worked hard to bring all that experience to the Blue Bear for their guest's enjoyment and comfort.Thats all very cool, but the staff is what is so amazing. Locals who know the area and also know the craft of hospitality better than the finest hotels I have been in while visiting downtown Chicago or Los Angeles. And I think it is because they are genuine in their care for people and a desire to be excellent at their work. Kindness can't really be felt when it is faked for professionalism. You will know without a doubt that these people care about you and making your stay wonderful. Local clients know this and return often for the exceptional food and drink and they plan their most important family events here because they know everything will be great. The staff will even help plan the events to make sure everything is special.It's a one of a kind place for an unforgettable experience. The Blue Bear inspired all these compliments after my wife and I spent just three days and nites here. Peaceful sleep and getting to know the owners, staff and guests has given us memories we hope to never lose. We also hope to return soon.Safety: Any person with a physical or mental challenge will be cared for here like no other.

What a clean and comfortable place to stay! The inn is situated in a scenic location, and innkeepers Lorrie and Bruno (some of the nicest people to walk the earth!) go out of their way to assure that you are comfortable. We have stayed at many inns and hotels over the years, and our visit to the Blue Boar Inn ranks at the top tier. We will be back!Rooms: Each room has it's own character and all are nicely appointed.Nearby activities: If you're a skier, check out Crotched Mountain ski area, which can be seen from the inn and is literally minutes away.

Just stayed at Blue Bear inn for one night and highly recommend this inn. We stayed in room 1 and the renovation were so nice. The staff is so friendly and the breakfast the next day was the best - top notch.. my husband and I are still talking about it. The farm to table concept is perfect and all the food was fresh. I can't say enough about the quality.. I think we are lucky to find this gem before other find it.. The pool and view were also outstanding.

There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this place. Stayed during a ski trip! This 1800s NE farmhouse inn is just a few minutes from Crotched Mountain and 30 minutes from Pats Peak. The restaurant Winslow Tavern had delicious food reasonably priced and incredible drinks! The owners of the Inn are unbelievably kind and accommodating. A tasty continental breakfast was provided with the Inns very own maple syrup tapped on site! I highly recommend staying here whether you are a skier, hiker, or leaf peeper.Nearby activities: Skiing

Excellent. Our first stay here and it was great. Lorrie, Brunno and their staff are wonderful. They are doing a fine job with the inn. Going forward, when we are in the area for business or pleasure The Blue Bear Inn will be our first choice. Lorrie was telling us about some of their future plans at the inn and we can't wait to attend some of the events.

The staff could not have been more friendly yet professional at the same time!! The food is OUTSTANDING!! The renovations are impeccable & even the mattresses are new!! Stunning views!!
