I couldn’t be more pleased to see how my puppy reacts to walking in the doors of the Exeter Barking Dog Daycare. I feel so comfortable with every staff member I have spoken with so far. I have been raving about how great the whole process is to anyone that will listen… and we are only in our first week of being members. What a great find for me!Blue’s lucky fur mama!

The hidden gem I was looking for! I have a one year old Newfoundland, whom is not an easy groom. The wonderful ladies who took her in listened to all my specific requests and ACTUALLY delivered ❤️ There is nothing better then getting exactly what you ask for, making every penny worth spent. The total was $115 for 3 hours of work. Compared to the last place I took her which was $130 and I was far less satisfied with the results. I was hesitant to write a review only to keep this amazing find a secret to myself haha but it was so great down to the staff, location, beautiful building, and service that I just had to share to anyone in desperate need of finding a place with guaranteed satisfaction. Can’t go wrong with the Barking Dog ❤️ (I’m also not a “review” person, which goes to show my love for this place)

I love this place and so does my dog. I spend almost every waking hour with my dog and I dread having to leave her, but The Barking Dog is the only place I'll leave her. I know she's cared for and she gets lots of play time.When she gets home, she's worn out.

Blu loves the staff and all the activities that The Barking Dog offers! This place is amazing. Blu has been boarded here multiple times and goes to daycare 2-3 times a week. He also has had multiple training sessions with Ellie who is awesome. The staff always makes sure his food is given properly with water while he is here. Blu is always so happy when he gets back in the car to “go see his friends”.

This was our first time boarding our doggo so I wasn't entirely sure how it would go. The staff were thoughtful in creating a calm atmosphere for, not only our pooch, but for her humans as well. The facility was noticeably quiet and clean and the staff were all pleasant.

Annie had a wonderful time at the barking dog this week while we were in jamacia!!! Annie is not friendly with other dogs and they accommodated and made sure she got just as much love as the other dogs there! The staff is so kind and sweet and we will definitely be back any time we need boarding services! ❤️❤️❤️ would highly recommend!

Rebecca and her team clearly love dogs and the dogs know it! They light up when I bring my standard poodle Beau in and do does he. I’m glad he has such a fun and caring place to go and have fun.

We absolutely LOVE taking our dogs to The Barking Dog in Exeter. Rebecca (the manager) and her team are amazing -- it is clear that they love their jobs and want to do everything that they can to make sure the pups are taken care of. We have experienced Rebecca going above and beyond making sure that our dogs are well tended, and that we feel valued as customers. There are so many fun options for our dogs while they are at the Barking Dog; from special meals to surprise toys to extra playtime, Rebecca and her team take care of all the details. I feel a deep sense of peace knowing that when I am away or at work, my dogs are in the hands of people who care just as deeply about them as I do. Thank you, Barking Dog!!!!

This is a follow up from the review I wrote a month ago about bringing my English bulldog here for daycare on November 9th it was sleeting , wet and cold .I was excited that they had cameras as I was excited to watch him play with other dogs .I had the webcam on all day .Not once was he ever in any play group indoors .When I picked him I asked was he outside all day ?And if so , why ??? It was freezing and sleeting.Not one of the three people up front could answer me why .They walkie Talkied the person whose group he was in and that person also had no answer.If he was going to be outside all day I would have left him home .They then brought him with the Velcro from his jacket stuck to hisSince than the GM Rebecca Cronin had reached out to me about week after the incident . She confirmed that she never saw Duke inside that day .Extremely apologetic, than as she began telling me more I was shocked and extremely upset .I was told that Duke was evaluated and was deemed as not a good fit for daycare , not once was I ever told this … Not once !!!!So the thought of me putting him back into that situation and to find out he kept to himself all day outside in the cold !!!It’s inexcusable .Since than Duke cowards in corners , does not interact with my other 2 dogs and is not the playful pup he was before this incident. It is heartbreaking.She than offered to pay my vet bills and offered free behavioral lessons , are you kidding there is no way I would bring him back to the place he was traumatized.She also encouraged me to take this further and that she would provide me with an email outlining the days events and offered her personal number . I have yet to receive that email.I have called several times and she will not return my calls , sad that I have to write a follow up review to get someone to call me back .I simply need that email with the events to help my Veterinarian and myself know what the best approach to help Duke is .For people that are in this business because they love dogs they have an awful way of showing it .Also I question why Rebecca Cronin is writing a 5 star review at the establishment that she is a GM at ?

Barking Dog employees are very nice. My dog always seems happy, is clean and doesn't smell bad when I pick her up after boarding her. Her having good care is very important to me - Barking Dog provides that!

It was my Dogs First Time to Daycare and they took care of him very well. He was nervous/reserved and he really did good with everyone and other dogs. Everyone was friendly and very helpful with all my question.

My pup always enjoys making new friends and wading/playing in the pool. Jay did a great job grooming! Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hours on weekends for pick up could be a little more flexible! Overall great day!

We recently had Davis work with our two English Springer Spaniels to solve two behavior problems, of growling at other dogs and pulling on the lead when going for a walk and jumping on all our visitors. In 4 private training sessions, we now do not have any problems. We can't sing high enough praises for Davis. He is extremely knowledgeable, personable and patient. Most of all, he can quickly understand your dog's temperament and can tailor specific techniques to meet your dog's needs. We have been through several dog classes but by far Davis's intervention techniques and approach have been the most successful. He is highly recommended.

The Barking Dog is the best. I have tried several day care options for my Black Lab, Ollie, and The Barking Dog exceeds all expectations. He gets exercise, swims in a pool (all year round) and is tired when I pick him up. I highly recommend the Barking Dog in Exeter for all your doggie day care and boarding needs.

My dog came back to me absolutely insane (like he had been locked in a kennel all day) he smelled like urine, and he had diarrhea that they didn’t inform me of.

Excellent place and smelled very clean. We boarded our dogs over the long weekend for their first time in a kennel. I was nervous to leave them but the staff was very reassuring. We chose to have a photo sent halfway through the visit and everyone looked great! Picked them up today and they are happy, playful and no worse for wear. I am so pleased with this place!

Updated review: This Barking Dog is top notch. The staff are always very friendly, helpful and handle a lot of moving parts. My dog Mikki comes here about once a week for daycare (we call it school), and it has become a routine she loves. I personally have had nothing but great experiences all around. So thanks for all you do especially during these trying times of employment.

The staff is very friendly and professional! It is very clean and my dog was excited to run inside and never looked back! She loved making new human friends during her boarding experience. We got daily pictures of her interactions while we were away for 4 days. We will definitely be using this as our boarding place and will incorporate some doggie daycare playtimes as well.Thank you for a great experienceRenee Nickerson
