BEWARE BEDBUGS!! I stayed at this hotel on 3/8/24-3/10/24. After my first evening, I noticed bed bugs. I told the acting manager. She told me that the best they could do was move to me to another room and comp me one night of my 3 night stay. I shared my concern that my clothes and all my luggage may be infested. She then offered me 2 rolls of quarters to do my laundry. I asked if this could be escalated and if anyone else I could speak to. She said she would look into it, but nothing ever became of it. I also asked how they could be sure that my room was the only one infested. No response. This was by far the worst experience I have had in a hotel and as a Lifetime Marriott Platinum Member I have traveled a lot. The level of service and concern for public health and safety was atrocious. I am still awaiting a reply from management.

Upon arrival and inspection of the room, food was found in the linens of the bed indicating it wasn’t turned over from the prior guest. Hotel night staffing at 8:30pm wasn’t sufficient to handle the issue so we were handed clean sheets and changed both beds ourselves. The hotel did comp one of two nights. Breakfast is mediocre.Rooms feel a bit dated and the mattresses are very uncomfortable.Fitness room is very small and the room temp was 77 degrees.

My wife and I have stayed here in the past on numerous occasions and have found the staff warm and friendly and ready to assist. Recently, I had a issue with an upcoming reservation and the General Manager Lisa Reeser, quickly and efficiently took care of my concern immediately. This is the place to stay in the Exeter/Portsmouth area, I will be back again.

I honestly can’t believe the number of 5 star reviews. We aren’t super bougie and are fine with any hotel as long as it is safe, clean and restful which this place wasn’t. We got rained out of our campground and needed a place to stay just for a night. We chose this because of the reviews and price. Can’t beat $170 during the summer not far from Portland. The area was a bit sketchy. The room had an odor and the beds were the most uncomfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. The pool was okay but the salt water burned worse than the usual over chlorinated hotel pools. The walls were so thin and could feel the people hitting the wall in the next room. The halls had a perfumed smell with an undertone of mildew. Was woken up at 11pm and just decided to drive home in the pouring rain. Just didn’t feel safe. No one was in the lobby when we left. The only positive was the very nice lady who checked us in.

Great hotel! Nice staff, delicious breakfast, clean rooms with space, hope to stay here againRooms: Spacious, plenty of outlets, fridge, microwave, coffee maker (NOT a Keurig)Food & drinks: Waffles on the weekends, weekdays we had scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, quiche, boiled eggs, English muffins, bagels, blueberry muffins, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, bananas and oranges, drinks were coffee, hot water (many different kinds of tea bags to pick from), orange juice, apple juice, chocolate milk and cold water. Most of this is put away at the end of breakfast but your coffee and tea will be served all day.Noteworthy details: There were a few things we didn't want to pack like our Christmas tree and they have a place to donate it.

had a wonderful time till I called the hotel 1 hour after my departure about forgetting my phone charger. They said that they would put my phone charger at the front desk.I show up 11 hours later it’s not there… I had to work, and I had explained that. The front desk night shift man took the liberty to check all the lost and found carts. He was very nice and I hopefully will be dealing with him to find my charger as I continue to show up in the future.Obviously the only people who went into the room were the cleaners. If anyone were smart (THEY WOULD HAVE AN IPHONE BECAUSE IT IS THE BEST)I do not want to feel robbed of my property. especially taking appropriate action to make sure that it was found, especially within an appropriate time and manner.I’m not happy about this. I feel disrespected especially being a Marriott customer and account holder.I will leave this up and be back at the same hotel every night till I have my charger.I will not be disrespected and I will not tolerate this. I will go above and beyond to get back what I deserve.

Upon arrival, the staff were very friendly and professional. The room smelled absolutely horrible, which completely took away from the fact that it actually appeared very clean. Without exaggerating- the room literally smelled like rotten raw chicken, combined with the smell of mildew. It was terrible. I would have mentioned this and requested another room, however I could smell the same smell coming from other rooms in the same hallway. I can only assume it has to do with the age of the hotel, but it needs to be resolved nonetheless. Furthermore, we asked about getting back and forth to Hampton Beach from the hotel. When asking for Taxi information, we were told that Lyft and Uber were always available at the beach, and that customers have never had an issue finding rides back from the beach, regardless of the hour- but we would find it difficult to get a ride there. We caught a ride there within 5 minutes, had a great time at the beach- and then we were unable to find a ride for over an hour when we wanted to come back at 11pm. We called the hotel and asked for assistance finding a taxi, and we were told to just google for taxis. After another half an hour contacting several taxi companies that didn't answer their phones, while still unsuccessfully searching for a Lyft and/or Uber, we finally caught a cab for $53 back to the hotel. We woke up and went down to have breakfast, only to find the breakfast was all pre-packaged garbage. There were serving trays set out as if hot prepared food was available- but the actual food being served was plastic wrapped generic garbage. It wouldn't take a great deal of effort to have a waffle iron with some batter (which would cost the hotel LESS money that the disgusting pre-packaged waffles it offered), and some freshly made scrambled eggs. All of this taken into account with a same night room rate of approximately $300, I would say don't bother staying here, you can get a much nicer hotel for the money.

Landscaping made it look very inviting,, lobby area has a modern look where you want to sit down and hang out with somebody. The room was clean had a full bath a living room area and a bedroom area. All done in good taste. The couch had a fold-out beds and TV in each room. The breakfast we had was a full breakfast and it was excellent. Every person there was friendly smiling all the time so helpful. If you needed anything you didn't have to wait. The cost for each night during summer is a little expensive I would say because it's fairly near to the beach and only a couple of hotels in that area. Overall I'd stay there again

The hotel was well kept and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was fine and the rooms were clean and in nice shape. While there was an elevator (of course) we used the stairs a couple of times and they looked newly carpeted and painted. The pool was small and I would have preferred a hot tub. But all in all a fine hotel and pleasant experience.

This was perfect!! Exactly what I needed and wanted. They were able to fit me in on a last minute call since I had no water at home. The room was great!! I was able to control the tv from my cell phone nice and easy to follow along. I was also very excited to learn that I could use the gym and the pool!! Needless to say it made me week!! Even with the pandemic precautions they still offered a complementary breakfast in the morning of some grab and go items.

Me my wife and son went up there for a weekend so I could do a job. And we had a marvelous time. Really great set of staff at this hotel, friendly and welcoming.! The indoor pool was super clean and there was towels by the abundance for drying off. Would recommend if you're in Exeter this is a great place to stay!

Rooms were clean and comfortable. HVAC was the common hotel wall unit,, this was very finicky to maintain (68 would be icy, 70 would be heat) Coffee and microwave in room is always appreciated. Friendly staff. No restaurant inside, but groceries and local fare are within walking distance.

It's a comfortable hotel, but I slipped and fell walking to my car because they didn't treat the ice in the driveway or walkway.I let them know via the company survey after my stay, and the next time I stayed I was handed a very nice hand written apology from the management. And the drive was clear and free of ice/snow. They definitely read and respond to feedback.Clean and comfortable.

Quiet, clean and well run. I stay in many hotels. This was really nice. The staff were super friendly and the hotel/room really clean. Despite the main road location the room was very quiet with little road noise. There's shops, bars and restaurants all within an easy walk.I'd definitely stay here again.

I said during COVID. Upon my arrival I was prepared to see a spotless room. To my dismay, it was filthy. I called down to complain and they told me no manager on site. They were going to clean it again and give me a Starbucks coupon. They did NOT clean it bc the same nutshells were still on the floor. After my stay I tried contacting the manager. She was a prize to say the least. Basically accusing me of lying and BSing me that pics were taking after the room was cleaned. It must have been in her dreams. I highly recommend NOT staying here. If it was gross during COVID could you imagine on a normal day/year?

The room was clean and the shower was great. The lobby smells great, strange of a compliment as that is. Staff was friendly and efficient. There's not a ton of stuff nearby but having a McDonald's and a Hannaford within walking distance was great.

Clean and convenient. That's all I ask for from a hotel and this place is both.Walking though the hallways I did lose cell service so I image some rooms may have poor reception. One less star because noise was an issue for a short while when the person in the next room had their TV blasting.

It's been a while since I've stayed in a Fairfield Inn and found my stay pleasant. If you're looking for budget accommodations that's clean, modern and comfortable, I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel has been open for 7 years and frankly, it looks brand new. The first floor public areas (lobby, breakfast, computer) are well kept. There are two computers and printers. The fireplace in the lobby adds a cozy feeling. Both USA Today and The Wall Street Journal are available throughout the lobby and breakfast area. Speaking of breakfast, there are many choices to fill up with. Three cereals, oatmeal, mixed fruit and bananas, coffee and tea, omelettes and scrambled eggs, bread and bagels, hard boiled eggs, regular and Greek yogurt, etc.The staff are extremely warm and helpful. That's always a plus in the hospitality industry! We had a standard king room which was slightly on the smaller side but not a big deal. We were on the third floor where the rooms were just renovated. It's my understanding all rooms are being renovated in stages from the third to first floor. The rooms come with temperature controlled AC/heat, mini refrigerator and microwave. The bathrooms are a standard size with basic amenities.I appreciate the updated design/colors in the room and hallways. Very bright with an earth town balance. Plenty of parking is available and conveniences are nearby (supermarket, pharmacy). If we're back in the area and staying overnight again, I'll be sure to book this hotel. Many thanks to the staff for a comfortable stay!

Staff was unbelievable rude and unfriendly. I went to check in and was greeted with an eyeroll and attitude. Rooms were small and kind of had a odor to them. I checked in and out an hour later. Also if you have questions on your booking or need help, they will not go out of their way to help, it seemed as if I was bothering their breaktime in the back office when I checked in.

Great Customer Service By Ted at Guest Check-In. He was truly welcoming and then also helpful with the Marriott Rewards System to help us book a room for the night. Hotel is a true value compared to surrounding overpriced properties.

Sad to say I had a negative experience at this property. It's not anyone's fault and things happen, but I always try to give honest reviews.I took about an hour and thirty minutes to get checked in because this hotel's booking software had some strange glitch. I just sat there and waited on a couch.. Secondly house keeping first banged on the front door for a while, and then the back window, even though I had the do not disturb sign out and locked door. House keeping doesn't seem to care about late checkouts. Front clerk was friendly though and rooms were large with kitchenette, but somewhat rundown. They are supposedly going to renovating the property soon though.

Our hotel stay was a great one! Clean, stylish rooms. Large bathroom with a big shower that had great water pressure and it was hot hot hot! Super comfortable king sized bed and a big ol' flat screen with free showtime and hbo on demand. You could also sign into other apps like Netflix and hulu. The front desk associates were all friendly, helpful and personable. The daily breakfast was more than just bagels and cereal. There was a waffle maker and your choice of scrambled eggs or even an omelet. No complaints at all. We would certainly choose to stay here again.
