Very rustic and relaxing. Camp sites right on the water. Most sites are big enough so you're not on top of each other. Even though they don't have flush toilets the camp ground is relaxing enough to make up for it.We try to go every year, we were devastated last year as they never opened.

An ultimate fall color destination and a peaceful all time campground and kayaking!

We stayed at Mollidgewock State Park in June 2022 at site 023. Pros: The views of the Androscoggin River are breathtaking from this site and most riverfront sites in the park. We kayaked on the river, made friends with our campsite neighbors, and explored the town of Errol and beyond. It was very affordable and private. Cons: The pit toilets were very full (too full), it was very buggy, and there were no showers. We also did not have cell reception on Sprint network.

As an employee of a separate state park it was interesting to see how different it was at this park. Lovely staff, clean facilities, great views, and fantastic stars (courtesy of the cosmos).

Beautiful. Peaceful. Has some huge sites.Wayyyyy up there, but worth it..Given far up north it is, has a lot of amenities you might not necessarily expect, including a Ranger Station with ice, firewood, kayak and tube rentals, etc. Decent cell phone service if you need or want it.The Pit toilet / no shower thing might not be for all, but your camp tag let's you into one of the more modernized parks fairly nearby to use their showers if you need them. The Park Ranger Robert is an unsung hero- laid back, super helpful, wealth of knowledge. Will go again.

I chose this campground for the dark skies and absence of light pollution, which would allow me to view and photograph the milky way on a clear night. We ended up staying three nights and learned a lot during our stay. There are wooded sites, grassy sites, and walk-in secluded sites. The river has a slow pace side of the curve and a bit more of a rapid pace side of the curve as it wraps around the land. It's wonderfully in the middle of nowhere but there is a big general store 3 miles down the road if you need supplies. We learned to venture out into the river water and float along. We saw a bald eagle fly along the river. The little office/shop was very helpful in selling us firewood, letting us change our site, and giving good advice on what to do in the water. I look forward to going again. I really like that it is rugged, without big campers (no offense) and with few other campers.

This is a nice state park to go camping in but there are no showers and the bugs are bad.Restrooms: Decent restrooms but they didn't have any soap or toilet paper just 4 walls and a roof.

What a great spot! Beautifully maintained park and awesome views. Quiet and serene. No cell service, but that is ok! The woman who runs the office is so nice and helpful. They sell 5 pound bags of ice for $2, bring cash! I will definitely be coming back with more friends.

Immaculate and peaceful. We’ve stayed at Mollidgewock many times over the years and always are impressed with the campsites and service. I would give 5 stars but this year the guy who checked us in was the worst state park employee I’ve ever encountered. He was rude, unfriendly, humorless, and impatient. Very surprising for the area. The remote site is called Moose Crossing, ya ding-a-ling, not Moose. Oh well, we will return next year regardless.

Small quiet campground right on the Androcoggin River. Love the lean-to that is on the rapids, falling asleep to the sounds of the river is so soothing. Great kayaking, especially if you have a driver to pick you up downriver so you can skip paddling back upstream. Tubing and fishing also popular. Short drive north on route 26 will take you to the beautiful towering cliffs of Dixville notch and a short drive south on route 26 takes you past Lake Umbagog and on to Grafton Notch where the Appalachian trail crosses. Good hiking in & around both notches. Drive through the peaceful 13 Mile Woods as you follow the river south on route 16. There is wildlife viewing all around and there is the potential to see a moose or an eagle without ever leaving the campground. If you need amenities like flush toilets, cell reception, or shopping malls then this is NOT the place for you, but that is why I love it! Check out LL Cote in Erroll for a north country shopping experience if you must shop.

The camp site was fairly well located. It was nice to bring the dog. Putting into the river right off the camp was a nice option. Camp sites and bathrooms were clean.

WARNING: this place does not have a paved road leading to it, you will need a vehicle capable of driving through a path in the woods with big rocks. I paid for a reservation here and couldn't make it becuase I drive a small hybrid. There was no warning anywhere online or when I made the reservation. It was very scary driving on their "road" and hearing big rocks scraping the bottom of my car, and we only made it about half a mile before finally turning around which was difficult in the tall grass. I was afraid the car could break down any minute and we were miles away from anything with no service. I don't want anyone else to have to go through that stressful drive like I did.I'm sure this would have been a very nice spot to camp, just make sure your car can make it there.

Back forty years ago, I and a fishing buddy came up from Connecticut and stayed at these campgrounds. We found the week we stayed to be a Senic Paradise akin to Heavenly Bliss. Not only was the fishing supperb and camping delightful, but now all these years later and I'm reading people's responses are just as strong and thier delight is still obvious. YES. I've been back there two more times over the years but now I've grown alittle too old.But I can't tell you how good it feels to know Mollidgewock is still the pristine, beautiful experience that it was then. Many thanks to the woman in charge, if I'm not mistaken she's related to the renouned Forefather of 13mile Woods who ran things back then - "Ed (moose) Damp" . From the sounds of it she's tracking Moose's path just great. A big Heart Felt congrates and Kudos for all you do mam' . Moose is smiling from the clouds.

My sanctuary for 25 years...this summer will be 26! I spend a week with my son fly fishing every June. This is real camping...out house to crap in and your bath is in the Androscoggin River!

Nice spot along the river-- especially to go out in canoes or kayaks. Only downfall was our campsite was in such close proximity to the neighboring sites and the dirt road that it lacked privacy.

Very small camp park. Every campsite is along the river. With 3 kids that was perfect with the rapids, didnt have to worry about the kids noise bothering the fellow campers. If it was a little closer to get to this would be the only place I would camp.
