This was a hard review to write because we had both a good experience and a challenging one. The staff was very helpful in helping my daughter and I purchase our first pair of ball pythons. The selection was unreal with prices ranging from very reasonable to the serious Breeder/collector level. They were helpful in helping us understand everything we needed to know. The issue came when a week later I had an exchange of several calls trying to obtain a larger more pet me any enclosure for the snakes. We spoke several times about availability and pricing, as they are over an hour drive from myself and I didn’t want to waste anyone’s time (including mine). I was told a price $300 with the heating pad for a specific enclosure (48”x24”x16”). I checked the website for the brand they carried (reptile basics) and at that price CV Exotics was about $75 dollars more(not including shipping) but I wanted to do my business through the local place and thought that was reasonable. I called again to confirm it was still there and that I was correct on the price, all was confirmed by a wonderful lady that had answered most of my calls. So the following morning I made the drive to pick up the enclosure. One I got there, they informed me the price was actually $400 and that maybe the person I spoke too was talking about a used one, which they confirmed they haven’t had available for months. I told them I just drove an hour there and would be driving an hour back, and a week earlier had spent over $400 on snakes and supplies there. They said sorry for the miscommunication but refused to budge on the price at all. I was frustrated to say the least. I get employees getting prices wrong, but after several calls and a previous expensive purchase and a very long drive, too not budge at all and basically tell me I wasted my time was very rude. I didn’t guess on the price or come in demanding some crazy price, knowing it was higher. The owner only told me that he only makes like $10 dollars on them as is and wouldn’t do anything for me. I may find a new reptile supplier I don’t know. I just feel lied too and than brushed aside. Hope this helps anyone else looking to purchase there. Great place to get your reptile for a fair price, do not get your enclosures or other stuff there. Wanted to give them 5 stars!

If you’re thinking of getting a snake through them…..DO IT!!! I was on the search for a banana ball Python (love them so much) and this pastel banana caught my eye. He was absolutely beautiful in the picture and I just had to have him! I noticed they were closed on Tuesday’s, but that didn’t stop them from reaching out regardless to make sure he would be shipped the following night! To me that speaks a lot about their company. They were very fast with responding & let me tell you he was somehow even more gorgeous in person. He’s so healthy, friendly, and just more than I could have expected. I could not be more pleased & will for sure he going through them for future “noodle” purchases!

EDIT!! Cv Exotics ended up fixing the situation for me, they were very kind and refunded me. Turned out it was a mistake that a new employee had made, they had taken the picture while he was in shed. I’m very grateful that they were able to work with me to fix the situation. I ended up loving my snake all the same despite the mix up! Thank you CV Exotics!Honestly I’m really disappointed, the pictures they had of the snake I ordered was false advertisement. It’s the same snake but the coloring is vastly different than the pictures they had up of him. I’ve emailed them about this but I haven’t gotten a response, when before I received the snake they were responding quickly. The ordering of the snake was super simple so I appreciate that, I just don’t appreciate that the coloring of my snake was not the same.

I bought my ghost mojave ball python at the new england reptile expo from CV. Their snakes stood out to me first because they all looked noticeably well fed and active compared to others, not to mention the nice coloring for more affordable prices. The vendor himself was very informative of my questions and took his time to address my needs. Its been 5 months and my BP has been very healthy and docile the whole time I've had him, he is a great eater of frozen with no hesitation or issues. I've heard lots of stories about troublesome, finicky BPs but this is not the case with him at all, which I'd consider a testament of his good breeding and rearing.

Got my first ball python here about 5 months ago - a tiny little wild type male that I named Bean. The owner was extremely personable and very helpful, and united me with the loveliest little snake. He's been in perfect health since the day I took him home. Everything the owner recommended to me has worked out wonderfully and was also backed by all the research I had done beforehand. Also, since the day I got him, Bean has been feeding great on frozen-thawed rodents, which I know I mostly owe to the great care he got while he was living in the store. I was also informed that he was bred by the owner, which only adds to how impressed I am with the whole experience. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff offering very healthy and happy animals. I recently purchased a Mojave Ball Python from this shop online. He arrived simply FLAWLESS! They kept me updated during his entire overnight journey to me as well. It really gave me peace of mind. Super knowledgeable! I walked in and was helped immediately! I recently bought my first ball python (not from them unfortunately) and was having a hard time getting her to eat (refused for over a month). The place I had gotten her had told me she was eating frozen/thawed..turns out that was not the case! Scott agreed that my next step was to try live and helped me choose an appropriate sized feeder based on my snake’s weight. I got home and placed the live mouse in her tank, left the room and checked back maybe 15 minutes later..GONE! I will be back weekly for feeders until I’m able to switch her over to frozen! And my next reptile will 100% be purchased from them! Highly recommend!

Just got my hypo Burmese python from them today. Have to say this has been the most pleasant experience I have ever had buying a reptile. Ordered the snake online, and within a half hour I received a phone call asking when was a good time for me to have the snake shipped. When the snake arrived, it was well packaged with a heat pack to keep it warm (40-50° nights in Michigan currently). Heat pack was still warm. Had plenty of insulation and was packed well to cushion the shipping. Amazing animal that looks even better in person then it did on the photo on the website. Also had good prices on their animals. Would recommend to anyone looking to buy a snake that they carry.

Got a 6 month old ball python from CV Exotics in early October and couldn't be happier. He's in great health, eats like a champ, and is incredibly friendly and good with handling. He's a beautiful and fun little guy!Staff were helpful knowledgeable and friendly, and the store is great! So many reptiles to see! I recommend saying hi to their tortoises and their big burmese python if you ever stop by :)Overall I would shop at CV Exotics again, and I absolutely adore the Ball Python I got from them!
