I just wanted to say how much of a blessing the manager of the night is!!! She is working so hard making pizza and multitasking she hasn’t stopped to rest her bones like the others! She should get a raise every time I have been here she is flying around others she’s bomb!!!

No visit to Merrymeeting Lake is complete without lunch from the New Durham General Store. They also have reasonably priced Merrymeeting Lake hats and shirts. We tried the Ruben panini, gilled chicken panini, Italian sub and buffalo chicken salad. Everything was very good. Our only regret was waiting until the end of our trip to give them a try.

I have now routinely ordered Turkey and Cheese wraps when I'm in the area From New Durham General Store and I absolutely have never been let down, always fresh, loaded with what I ask to have in it and it's always delicious. The service is great as well, always friendly staff. I'm so glad I happened to "grab a wrap quickly" that first day I tried them, as it's now my when in the area local lunch stops!

First-time visitor. I had a chicken and avocado Panini that was excellent. My friend had a turkey sub with she loved. Everyone there was super friendly. We will definitely be going back for sandwiches. Also, the gas price was quite low compared to all the other places around here

Best family owned place to get pizza in New Durham. They also sell subs, salads, chicken, alcohol, groceries, and gas, all with a smile and generous service free of charge. I used to work there for three years, and we have an amazing team of staff who are friendly, knowledgeable, and sociable, complete with an amazing manager and owner who can help you as well.

Great Country Store, good food and small town appeal. Miss the wood stove, but too much government made them remove it. Still, the workers are a perfect example of how quality service comes from quality management.

Your typical attentive small town general store. You can always expect prompt, attentive service, fresh coffee, and ready-made breakfast sandwiches in the morning. In the evenings, there is a wide variety of specialty pizzas and grilled sandwiches to choose from. The Roast Beef Melt is my favorite. In the summer months, they offer local delivery, which comes in very handy. I only have two suggestions: (1) the gas pumps are older and don't have a pay-at-the-pump option, which would be very helpful. And (2) I wish their delivery service were offered year-round!

A true country store complete with wood stove and old duffs playing chess. Note...not a tourist trap. This is the real deal.In a time of Dollar Generals and Cumby takeovers I highly recommend a stop by and purchase, only if to glimpse an anachronism of history. .Great service and people.Highly recommend!

Store was okay... steakbomd was bad...all I could taste was cheese, not even sure if it was actually steak, seemed more like ground beef... could not even taste the peppers, onions and mushrooms... also the people cooking did not wear masks!!!

I go here all the time to get little things I run out of at the house and sometimes just for some coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Everyone there is always very nice and smiling all the time! Great place for a quick bite to eat too!

Sigh, I can’t tell you how many times they’ve messed up me order. So much wasted time I’ve waited there for them to remake the order (if they catch it themselves) or gotten home and found the wrong food. I’ve given them a lot of chances, disappointing. Would forgive more if their food was worth it.

A guy, worker came out to help me with a car gas tank lock. I was picking up the car nearby and the plastic gas release was broken. He found how to open it so I could get gas. Very nice about it. Very helpful.
