Great selection it is absolutely packed with books from floor to ceiling. I think she would sell a lot more if she lowered her prices. She charges half the original price. For a paper back I wanted it would be $10.00. I’ll stick to Goodwill, yard sales and free libraries.

Love the local bookie! I've been going there with my mother since I was a baby. They used to have a dog that I'd snuggle with (they no longer do because he passed) and I even got put in their newspaper ad. The owner is a lovely little lady and is always kind and chatty. She has a great selection of books and even stuffies for children (that go along with the children books.) 10/10 recommend this book shop if you love to read and you are in the Conway, NH area!

We love this little used bookshop - it's just a quick hop off of route 16 so we stop by every time we are in the area. It is well stocked, well organized, and offers lots of variety. The books are reasonably priced (though not dirt cheap). Like all used book stores, you can't rely on anything specific being in stock but we always find treasure here! Bookstores and used bookstores are a dying breed - please drop in and help this one stay afloat.

As always, it's a wonderful experience shopping at the Local Bookie. My 9 year old daughter accompanied me and we found three books she couldn't live without. Books are pricey. The Local Bookie enables us to buy books at a fraction of the cover price. Love that place! Visited 8/23/2016

Friendly, helpful staff. Tight quarters but organized. The prices were a little higher than I expected for used books but the quality was excellent. No musty smell in this store. Worth seeking out. I'll be back

The woman who owns this place is wonderful. This bookstore is like a treasure trove for readers. It looks small from the outside but I could spend literally spend all day here looking through books. If you haven't checked it out, you are missing out!

Unfortunately my impression of Martins this time around wasn't great. Everything look dirty everything was in disarray tossed all around it looked more like a cheap John's from New York City from years ago! Prices we're High for what you got! We used to shop there all the time hadn't been there in years boy has it changed! Will still stop in to see if it improved at all could have just been bad timing on auto part! The owner was very nice. Personally greeted us and helped us find everything. Very impressive was her knowledge of authors and book locations. She knew exactly where to find Captain underpants for the kids!

The people there are super friendly, as well as the books are majorly discounted. i got almost all the harry potter books for less than 30 dollars. My honest answer is i'm never shopping anywhere else for books again.

I drove up to the Local Bookie from Concord NH on a Saturday afternoon, July 24th. Every possible resource that I could find said they would be open until 5pm. Their Facebook said so, as did their voicemail message. Google said so as well. The signs on the building agreed; they were open Saturdays until 5pm. As I stood there, peering through the windows into a darkened store, I got the strangest feeling that they were not open, despite every indication saying otherwise. Up became down. Right is now left. Dog will be spelled c-a-t from now on. Open (yes, you guessed it) apparently means closed. I cannot express how disappointed I was to drive all the way up there, just to find it closed. Was I not there on a Saturday between 10am and 5pm? What a waste.
