Awesome store, these guys are the real deal. Spent a good 45 minutes helping me- first introducing me to crampon styles and brands, then narrowing down to find the perfect crampons for what I want to do and the boots I own, and even fitting them to my boots, adjusting and everything, and showing me how to properly attach them and store them.For customer service alone I decided to buy from them. And will be stopping here any time I’m up near the presidential range!

What a great experience!! We went on a guided rock climbing trip, 2 girls, 10 & 12, dad who is late fifties. Owen was our guide and he was absolutely great!! He had incredible leadership, patience and knowledge! If you are thinking about a rock climbing trip, I highly recommend International Mountain Climbing School!

Conrad and Paul were consummate professionals and shared their love of climbing with many of us who had only done it our first time. Our guide Mark was great! We went to Frankenstein cliffs to the Lost in the Woods area. It was a bit crowded with a few other groups there but Mark was able to get us on some good beginner ice climbs which was great since it was our first time ice climbing! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get into ice climbing!

The staff are very knowledgeable and kind. I love the consignment options as well for high end technical gear. Customers can get guided services for local and international trips. I came in for some winter boots and found what I needed quickly to get back out adventuring. I am looking forward to returning soon!

Fun store to wonder or grab those few last minute items before heading out into the hills. Lots of new and used gear available. Used gear sales tends to still seem a bit pricey, but they usually have a decent selection. Guide service and climbing school upstairs is top notch!!

Knowledgeable staff, small selection of new product, low selection of area relevant gear. If community grows they can expand. Hopeful to see shops like this grow in the future. My experience with the "good local kids" was also very subpar. Brady, an IME employee, on the other hand was very helpful. If you are looking for a quality growing community with bigger advanced terrain options look elsewhere.

I've found this store to have consistently well priced good items on consignment, and frequently good deals on brand new gear. The staff will gladly give you whatever beta you need for any climb in the valley. This place is an Institution, and deservedly so.

Excellent shop, experienced staff for mountaineering and outdoor adventures. Best outdoor consignment so that all people can enjoy the outdoors without buying new. Recommend stopping in or phoning for advice for any hike or adventure-the staff will make sure you are well prepared. IME is an excellent resource.

When I arrived in North Conway I was pretty green as far as glacier mountaineering is involved. A climb guide: Freddie W, pointed me in Ricks direction and thank "F" for that! The store is designed to set any climber (even those of us with the lowest of budgets) for success with honest, friendly service and the patience of saints.
