This Pet Shop is unique and that's what I love about it. I can tell they care about animal health and wellness. Their prices are high but, they offer highly recommended products for your pets of all species. I love what they sell and the love they have for all the animals. But, unfortunately, I can find a better deal on Amazon for almost anything. Supporting small businesses is always important but, I don't have money to spare or waste at the moment.

I love the pet store itself but taking my dog to the groomer was the worst grooming experience I’ve had to date.I informed the groomer upon booking that my dog is a bit anxious with getting his nails done and despite this he was manhandled and screamed at while getting his nails clipped. Right in front of me so it was really upsetting having to watch my dog be screamed at while he’s already scared. Never going back there again and wouldn’t recommend that groomer to anyone.I asked to stop halfway through and was still asked to pay. Wasn’t informed about the cash only policy. Was told to pay “across the street” since I didn’t have any cash. No clue what that meant so I had to go find an ATM just to learn I could’ve used my card next door at the pet store. Overall bad communication and unsettling service for my dog.

This place has so much pet stuff and the best bird room ever. They sell reptiles, fish, rodents and other small animals. The fish room is huge too! The place is clean and big. The employees could be nicer but the lady that helps fit your dogs harnesses is amazing and so nice. The man in the fish department is also very nice and helpful. But other then that from my experience the rest of the employees are rude. Like the lady tonight working in the bird section.. rude for no reason then continued to run her mouth behind my back.. But other then that I like this place. Definitely has more options than most pet stores.. just ignore the rude ones and you'll be good :-)

I told them i was going to buy a certain item the following week because i was moving. it was priced 65$, went back and new prices were on it for 140$ 1st thought i made a mistake on pump size when priced , I bought it, then realized there was no mistake it was the same size model after I installed it. Later Asked if it was a mistake on price and was told no. I come here every week and make purchases in spite of cheaper online prices to support the local store. I can't do this anymore at 3x the price when they straight screw you. I have to purchase a new tank and heater that was broke when moving , it won't be here .

Absolutely love this store from day one! All animals are well take care of! Staff are amazing. I honestly wish they were all closer to me so I could work with them! I got Bruno from them and they always had his best interest in mind and answered all my questions with patients. I can’t say enough good stuff about them!

I phoned to inquire about the availability of a particular cat litter. The person who answered informed me that they had it in stock and mentioned the price range of $20-25, depending on the type. Upon arriving at the store, I discovered that the litter actually started at $25 for a 16lb bag. I ended up purchasing it for $29, which is an $8 markup vs buying it directly from the company. I am giving this experience one star because I was given incorrect pricing information and could have bought it for a lower price elsewhere. I had ordered a 40lb bag this morning to be shipped but needed litter today.

This is a wonderful resource for all your pet needs.They carry the extremely hard to find Orijen food: it's the best money can buy however they don't charge as much as Amazon or others, so buy it locally from them. They're friendly and knowledgeable too. 😊

I found this store on my way home. I stopped in to get tortoise food which they had a great selection. I was overcome by the amount of beautiful fish. I talked to Josh and he was extremely helpful and extremely educated on freshwater and saltwater fish. he answered all my questions with respect and extreme knowledge I highly recommend everyone to check out this store.

I drove all the way from Vermont to pick up a cockatiel bird. The one I chose seemed to be in good health, and I requested its wings to be trimmed. They took the bird to a room in the back where I couldn't see what they were doing. They handed it to me in a closed cardboard box, and I didn't check it until I got into my car because the bird was hitting itself. Upon opening the box, I noticed blood in its mouth, assuming it injured itself while inside.After 5 days, the bird wasn't eating, so I had to force-feed it while realizing it had a broken lower beak. I contacted the store to share the story, but they hung up on me. After many calls, I spoke with Jen, the manager, and sent her photos and videos showing the bird bleeding just 10 minutes after leaving the store. Her response blamed me for putting the bird with my other bird. Two days after the purchase, I introduced the new bird to the other to ease potential homesickness and stress, I monitored them all night they were fine together.The store didn't offer help, suggestions, or solutions for the injured bird, revealing a lack of responsibility and a focus on making money over care. It's not a trustworthy place, If you're considering buying a pet from them; be careful about letting them take your pet to the back room.Note: The photo I attached it was taken 10 minutes after leaving the place.

Beautiful betta fish, I ended up buying one! I was really impressed with their selection of supplements to treat dog anxiety! I have a 60 pound Rottweiler/ Hound, at his weight its a large dose. I found a supplement that works great and comes in a bottle of 120 for under $30. And he only needs 4 a day versus 12, like he was.

We love the Claremont pet aquarium.Josh really does a great job with the fish and he's very knowledgeable too!! I'm blown away that they have axlotos right now. We have a couple ourawlfs but haven't ever seen one in a pet store. He recently got them donated to him. Very cool!

I buy all my dog food and essentials here. My dogs are regularly groomed by Heather. It's a great space with friendly, knowledgeable staff. You can't go wrong here for a variety of pets.

Josh in the fish department is so great. Incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. You can tell he loves the fish and creating great tanks. Helped us get our 75 gallon up and running perfectly and gives us fish suggestions based on what we're doing. We will only go to the claremont store because of him

We had such a great visit! The guys were very knowledgeable and helped with recommendations for our aquarium plants. We visited the reptile room and the bird room, which was our favorite. We loved visiting with Finley, the pet bird.

They have a pretty good selection of food, toys and fish. I have however received a few sick fish from here. I also noticed there were bugs all in the open treat display. I said something to the cashier and her response was, “ There are bugs everywhere.” Stick to sealed containers when buying any food/treats here.

I've brought my dogs to the groomer twice, first time one got a skin infection, gave a second chance recently and they got fleas from the dirty razor presumably within days of visit. 12 yr old dogs, never had fleas before. Won't be back

This is a great store! They have plenty on offer to meet all your pets needs, and a very decent selection on any incidentals, for any obscure emergency/crisis. I am disappointed that the pricing is so incredibly high. I understand the need for small businesses in our local economy, and I just would like to be able to rely on somewhere local, for my pets needs, without it costing me an arm, leg, and kidney for it.

Great store to go to for your pet needs. The products can get expensive like most local stores. The fish selection is wonderful for both fresh and saltwater. They also have corals with many of them locally sourced.

Love this local pet store. Deff one stop shopping for your pet needs. I always stop in with any questions about my aquarium and the guys in that department alway find the time to talk with me and share recommendations. Everyone else is always super pleasant and accommodating. A+ service and cleanliness in this store.

One of the nicest pet stores I've seen in a long time. Super clean and all the animals are well cared for. The reptile section is excellent with accurate care information for each species available. A lot of really beautiful natural setups too. Very reasonable prices for a brick an mortar store too. Great selection of freshwater and saltwater fish, plants and inverts. I wish I lived closer to here. I'd be a regular for sure!

First came to this store 3 years ago and purchased 4 small but beautiful koi and 3 goldfish for our 2 ponds. The goldfish have multiplied (now 7) and the koi are enormous!! We have also enjoyed “hanging out” with their resident cockatoo Finley who is a real character, and no matter which day or what time of day we have shopped there every animal is in a clean environment and we noticed that their birds get a lot of toys to keep them entertained. Yesterday I stopped in and booked my new rescue dog in for her first grooming, I’ll post a pic when she is ready for her close up 😄

Great staff, full of knowledge. My seven year old picked the girls brain about parakeets and we got everything we needed to outfit our cage and a parakeet!
