I would like to start by telling you a little about myself. I am a chef, pastry chef, and baker! I am adventurous, daring, and enthusiastic, not afraid to try new dishes or flavors and then incorporate those flavors into a dish masterpiece. I cook from ingredients put together that are Not out of the box, and no one else has tried. I love to share food and feed people. Eating out or purchasing baked goods is hard because I am an excellent cook/ baker. Today, I stopped by Batter Up Bakery in Chocorua, New Hampshire, to buy some baked goods. I can tell you this: Julie's baked goods are phenomenal; Julie and her helper, Danielle, make some downright great food!The perfect Cinnamon Rolls! The Swedish and German immigrants brought the delectable cinnamon roll to the United States in the 17th century.So, let's talk about the qualities of a Great cinnamon roll, in fact, The World's Best Cinnamon Roll! The dough should be lightly sweetened but full of flavor — yeasty and buttery; the filling should have a punch of cinnamon and be sticky with brown sugar and butter. And the icing? It better be ooey-gooey.Fresh dough, frosting, and a generous amount of cinnamon are used to make their delectable rolls. The cinnamon roll is light and fluffy, with just the right sweetness. Batter up Backey owner Julie has mastered her cinnamon roll!Now, the cupcakes! Colorful, moist, delicious cupcakes with extra frosting. Great taste, moist, Fine delicate texture, Light body (not dense or heavy), Good shape (gently domed), not too sweet, but very lush and never overtly flavored frosting.Thanks Girls! I will be back!

I love this bakery! I go there every time I'm visiting my home town. In fact, I love it so much I asked Julie and her team to cater my wedding weekend. She provided breakfast the day before for early guests, lunch for the wedding parties the day of AND an amazing cannoli tower for our wedding dessert (we aren't cake lovers). Julie was so organized and thoughtful about my time. Highly recommend the bakery for a muffin in the morning or a giant tray of the lemon bars for a party. They can do it all! Thanks Batter Up!

Driving further up north, I passed by this establishment and thought it looked quite quaint and fun with its name. On my way south, I decided to stop in for some coffee, and boy, was I glad to do so! I hadn't realized they carried so many gifts as well as being a cafe.Service was friendly, and I absolutely cherished meeting Maggie, the shops 18 year old dog. Wow, what a feat that I love to see as a pet owner myself.The best part of my stop was the cinnamon bun. Biggest bun I've purchased yet. It was absolutely fantastic and well worth making the stop!! It was everything you could ask for in a cinnamon bun. External had a delicate crust, some parts gooey, soft internally with a wonderful texture. Cinnamon blend was perfect. Icing was generous, and it seemed that it had a hint of cream cheese in the icing. I typically refrain from cream cheese in icing and prefer vanilla, but this was such a hint of flavor that I greatly enjoyed eating it!Stop in, and you'll get a home run for aure!!!

We used Batter Up for our wedding at The Preserve at Chocorua and are so happy we did! Julie is so friendly and great to work with. We wanted to do cupcakes and a small cutting cake, and she was so helpful with flavors and designs. On the wedding day, she told us to just leave our cake cutting set and flowers on the table and she would set everything up. It looked AMAZING. Our guests loved the cupcakes, and they were truly beautiful. I'd highly recommend Batter Up!

Fantastic shop! A great little find. So glad we looked around and came by. We stopped for breakfast and had fried eggs on focaccia bagel and a BLT - both were amazing. Ganache brownie was incredible. Amazing ladies running this bakery and so fun that it’s inside the country store and got to shop around and find so many great fun items, souvenirs, and nostalgic things. Keep up the amazing work and will happily return often!

Julie at Batter Up was wonderful to work with and made a beautiful cookies and cream birch cake for our camp wedding! We also had several sheet cakes in different flavors, all of which were delicious. We were so happy with the look and even more impressive were the amazing flavor combinations! My favorite place in the area! They have an amazing gluten free bun option! Best gluten free option I've ever had! I worked at a camp nearby and came here to get the all meat gluten free sandwich every chance I got! The owners are super lovely and made me feel at home! Can not recommend this place more!! - Alex

You have to come here if you're in the area. Great sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. Awesome coffee! and best of all, you won't be able to leave without something sweet and you wont be disappointed. Also the employees are so amazing. 10/10!

Awesome, little hole in the wall with super cute general store attached.The breakfast was made fresh and tasted great. Kids got bagels and we ordered egg sandwiches with drinks $32 party cash and receive discount.Also a bakery which looked good.I will come again when I'm up here

What an incredible dessert spread! Our guests were not only giving so many compliments to our baker, but also begging to take home the extras on the day of the wedding and the following morning!!! Thankfully we got to save about 15 for ourselves as well as our delicious cake. I can’t say thank you enough! It was delicious! The carrot cake shooters are perfect for an easy dessert!! You knocked it out of the park.

As of now, this is the only photo of the dessert we have from our wedding on 11/19/22. Julie did our cake and put together an amazing assortment of mini desserts for our dessert bar. Everything was AMAZING. When I say there was nothing left over, there was nothing left over; Our guests raved about how delicious all the mini treats were. Good thing we did a tasting with her because we didn’t get to have any! We did traditional mini whoopie pies, apple crisp shooters, mini cannolis and two different types of mini cupcakes (banana caramel toffee & tiramisu). Our wedding cake was also amazing, she catered to our theme and did the impossible when I asked for a “reversed Boston cream cake”. Julie was also very communicative and after our first meeting with her, we knew we just had to go with her. I highly recommend Julie and her amazing talents- everything is just so tasty and presentable as well. Thanks again, Julie!!! We will be back up to visit and share pastries with you once again.

This is my favorite bakery in the world. Some places make a couple of good things that they specialize in and the rest is just that. These ladies make EVERY SINGLE THING in their menu with pride and purpose as if every one of them is their specialty. DIVINE. Stop here anytime you're in the lakes region. Even if it's a little drive, it always worth it. Psss.... Try the lemon and blueberry bars..... Life changers.

Have had multiple birthday cakes made (including a gluten free one) and they were all amazing! Tasted great and looked great. Everyone at the parties raved about them. Have also gotten quite a few treats recently (lemon bars yum!) that were delicious. Julie is kind and super helpful as well as being a fantastic baker.

I got the Cape Coddah Sandwich on their multigrain (they called the bread something else) at the recommendation of the girl at the counter. It was piled high with stuffing and absolutely delicious. My girlfriend got The Hiker which was also great, but she was jealous of my sandwich.The staff was super friendly and they do all business safely through a walk up window. There is also a lovely country store attached to browse through while you wait for your sandwiches.

I rode my bike to this sweet spot. Although, traffic whizzed by me. I was able to savor the delish baked good. Lots of tempting baked goods for those who have a sweet tooth. Also, breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I highly recommend this as a morning treat to enjoy by Lake Chocorua.
