I’m 37 years old and have never had an issue with a grocery store until this place. This place needs to be sold and the new owner need to start over.They won’t sell you alcohol if you have anyone under 21 with you. I guess they assume everyone who buys alcohol with someone who is underage is going to give it to them. Pretty annoying when you’re just trying to pick up some groceries with your niece.I called management to complain about the policy and informed them that NH law states that the person buying alcohol needs to be 21, not everyone with them. She then gave me the classic line of “we don’t have to sell you anything”.And guess what…now they won’t have the privilege to sell me anything. I’m also an aggressive net detractor and will ensure I get 10 people to commit to go to Hannaford instead.Pushovers!

This review is directed to the store management just as much as it is to perspective customers. Very disappointed with our latest experience, today. The second star is for the selection. We can't complain.That being said, the customer service is atrocious. I waited patiently for someone to come bag the groceries for the cashier while watching a group of employees talking and laughing in the self-checkout area (no customers around). I finally bagged the groceries myself; as did two other customers on the other two registers, all while ample help stood 10' away. The gaggle of employees broke from their gossip session just as my order completed. One of them wandered over to the service desk. After completing my bagging, I walked over to her while she leaned over her elbows, doing nothing, and asked (rather politely, given the circumstances) if it were common for customers to bag their own groceries while employees talked to each other. Her response, "Well, I'm here now and can't help". No one was at the service counter, and behind me, customers continued to bag their own groceries. My question to her, "If you can leave your station to stand in the self-checkout area and laugh with your friends, what's preventing you from leaving to assist customers? Or for that matter, making a store-wide call for help to the front? Or doing ANYTHING other than excusing yourself from the shared responsibility to the customer experience?"Whomever "manages" this place needs to start MANAGING your employees and the customer experience. You're not short of help if people can afford to stand around and chat, so hold yourself and your people accountable to your customers!!

I’m not a person who usually reviews places online, but I went to this store last week and had an experience that’s really been bothering me. I was buying a bottle of rose and some sunscreen and the clerk when to card me. When she did, she told me, “you look like you’re twelve.” I’m 30 years old and an attorney. I’m fine with being carded, but I felt it was very rude of this clerk to comment on my appearance.

The worst grocery store you could go to. Spend the time to drive to a grocery store that actually cares and doesn’t charge you double for everything. They’re only open until 7pm and they’re the only grocery store within 10 miles, that shows how much they care. Don’t waste your money going to this store if you want to get anything worth the value. Their meat selection is worse than Walmart and all their “fresh” bread is stale.

Caters to tourist I would say from the prices, won't go there again. Rather go a few more miles for better prices. Attractive on the outside but felt crowded inside, too much product in small space.

I usually like going here to support small businesses, even if the prices are a bit higher. I usually have a good experience here, but today was a bit different. My girlfriend was doing self check out and there was a young male employee aggressively staring at her the entire time. It made my girlfriend and my self extremely uncomfortable. Either the employee was looking at her in an inappropriate way ( hard to believe that this is not the truth) or he was very concerned that we would steal something, which treating your customers as criminals is not a good business model…. If you’re that concerned, don’t have self check out. Anyways, I will be shopping at Hannaford In Meredith now… which is too bad

I realize that help is hard to find right now. I came in to buy three items. The very unfriendly person with blue and pink hair (I only mention the hair for identification) who cashed me out didn’t greet me, and didn’t smile once. She had no idea if I could get cash back (you can by the way) and then before I could ask her to give me one ten and two fives, she slammed the drawer shut. I politely asked if she could open the drawer again for the proper change and she acted like I had asked for her first born child. I could see the eye roll from miles away. She did not say good bye or tell me to have a nice day or anything. She literally just walked away.Again, I get that help is hard to find, but she isn’t doing the business any favors.

I visited this store while on vacation. Good selection of items. They even had small bouquets of flowers. While checking out I asked if there was somewhere close by to get balloons, I was surprised when the cashier pointed to an area I hadn't noticed! There was a small cart of balloons to chose from and customer service inflated them for me. It was a great convenience.

This is one of the "non-chain" supermarkets that is a very good place to go for just about whatever you need. The premises are well maintained and the products are displayed in an attractive, shopper-friendly manner by the knowledgeable, courteous staff. If you are ever in the area, it would be worth a trip here.

Everything in this store is $2 to $3 more expensive than other supermarkets. $10 for a tiny loaf of gluten free bread. Its normally $5 or $6 at other grocery stores. Felt like I got robbed after paying and I'll never come back to this store. Prices are insane!!!

The staff here makes incredible home cooked meals. I enjoy stopping here for a lunch special or a fresh cut deli meat sandwich. Everything here is made with love. I occasionally mix one of their fresh salads to my diet too.

I was just in your store 6/26 at 2:30pm. It was very busy but I was shocked at how fast my line was going compared to the other lines open. When I was checking out my total was more money then I had. I offered to put back food and Sherry said no, reached into her OWN POCKET and paid for my food with her own money. Amazing customer service! What a great person. Thank you for hiring her!

Overall, it isn’t any better than I expected. They’re lacking in options, and some of their food isn’t exactly ripe. We bought 7 bulbs or garlic, all of which we noticed had, upon cutting them open, started to grow. Their mushrooms went bad after two days in the refrigerator, and they don’t have many options- when we went, they weren’t even carrying French baguettes. The staff was amazingly friendly, though, to the point of getting an extra star just for that.All in all, you’re probably much better off going to the nearby Hannafords or Shaw’s- they’re cheaper, more reliable, and have better selection.

Heath's has been a staple since my family moved to the area in the early Seventies. Where else can you find a single location supermarket with fresh produce and meat? Super friendly service, too. If you forget your wallet at the register they'll issue an IOU on the spot.

It's very small and selections are very particular and not exactly what you'd expect. For example they had three types of non dairy milk, but none of them almond milk or soy. Decent assortment of herbs and toiletry items, I ended up buying natural bug spray for the weekend. I was expecting more and a little let down. I didn't think there was anything there you couldn't just find at the Hannafords down the road.

Great small store. Friday night pizza is a must try!!!!! You can find a range of items at this store. They carry high end as well as regular store brand. They will order for you as well. They have balloons, lottery, great magazines and more.

This is a great little grocery store but prices are extremely expensive! People who work there are beyond helpful & nice but prices are just too high. Some things prices are more than double a chain supermarket would be. Some things are nearly double what you would pay at a gas station. It's too bad. I would shop here a lot of the prices were close to reasonable.
