My pets are well cared for and my dog always seem happy when we pull in for the drop off the cat is a different story 😂. A few months ago my father who had brief illness entered the final stage of hospice. Our dog was beside herself and wanted to stay in bed with him. She was inconsolable. I called Brookwood and they very kindly took her last minute, and even let me drop her off five minutes later. I am so grateful for their kindness.

It’s been a few years now. We boarded our dog while on vacation. He got out and they claimed he dug under the fence. Upon inspection, there was no disturbance in the ground whatsoever so our only conclusion was they left the gate open. They never helped with the search in any way or flyers. He was hit on I-93 a month later. Never recommend this place due to their negligence.

I boarded my dog here for two nights. During that time my dog ate a large portion of his Serresto collar. He had been wearing the collar for four months with no issues prior to this. A properly fitted Serresto collar cannot be removed by a dog. He has never removed it on his own or even tried to prior to this. It would require a third party to adjust it whether than be a person or play with another dog (i asked that he not be with other dogs).After he ingested part of this collar I was not informed until pick up time. A dog ingesting a large, foreign object should be treated as an emergency.I will not be boarding here again as I do not feel my dog would be safe.

I have been taking my pets to Brookwood Pet Resort for about 15 years now. Love the owners, love the staff, and they love my dogs and take care of them as if they were their own. It's the only place I'll leave my dogs.One of my dogs has become diabetic, and I have no qualms about leaving him with them for a week. They administer his insulin twice a day, and keep him on a good feeding schedule. They treat my dogs like their family. They also have various training in classes, some of which my dogs have attended. Obedience school was wonderful for my dogs.

We are really pleased with Brookwood Pet Resort. At the last minute needed to make an appointment for our two Keeshonds to kennel them for the weekend. The owner Art was totally accommodating to our situation, and was able to make the last minute boarding. Thankfully our dogs were fully vaccinated and had their Kennel Cough, because that was a requirement. Sent in the paperwork, and was able to get them dropped off.The best part was that both dogs were able to share the same kennel, so they weren't separated for the weekend. We brought along medication for one of the dogs, and there was no issue. When we came back and picked them up both dogs were happy and full of energy. But when we got home, both of them slept all day - so we know they were well exercised and taken care of.I would highly suggest using Brookwood to anyone. We will be going back next time we need to get our two dogs boarded for the weekend!

I love Brookwood Pet Resort and so do my two golden retrievers. The owners, Art and Carol, and all are the staff are so friendly and clearly love dogs; my two feel right at home there. I have been bringing my dogs there for over 10 years and have always had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Brookwood Pet Resort!

Brookwood staff really know dogs and offer first-rate care with camp play time, spa-like grooming, training and sleepovers. Owners Carol and Art Landry lead an exceptional team. (The best review is from my Merry Eloise - whose tail starts wagging the minute we get on route 93 and head to Canterbury!)

Finally around to searching for a new boarder because this place screwed up royally dispute their state of the art facility... don't be fooled!We pay for the higher end package for our 3 yr old lab who is on seizure meds.Second visit I was given back his pills with an apology that they weren't given to him because an elderly dog in their care had passed away (parents worked and didn't want him home alone), he was in your care for 4 days... what now?!Third visit (figures the previous incident was a fluke)... we opened a brand new bottle of pills in the car prior to bringing our dog in for a 9 night stay and I reminded the desk manager of the medication debacle as well as very clear on HE WILL HAVE SEIZURES if not given his meds... they returned the wrong number of pills to us and our dog had a scuffed up top of his nose and was filthy (should not have needed a bath immediately returning home). There were 8 doses of extra pills in the bottle for what he should have been given. He had seizures off and on for the next 2 weeks. How many seizures did he have in their care that we don't know about? Did he get his 1 on 1 walks or extra play time with staff that we paid for? Why did he come home with a scuffed up nose and no discussion on how it happened?My dog is like my child a daily report would be nice. When he was fed, watered, played, medicated ect. Something that shows they acknowledged my dog was in their care. When my daughter comes home fro. Daycare if she poops herself they clean her up! Hell they could have just hosed him down for us that'd be nice and at least showed they cared a smidge!

Awesome spot for your four legged family members to stay when you're away. Our two dogs love it and they are able to stay together.Lots of play time outside and attention from the loving attendees.

We have been bringing our dogs here since they opened -- the dogs don't say much but they're always excited and happy when we drop them off. The classes and the boarding are both wonderful, and it's a relief to know our pets are in good hands when we're away.

It is over five years now, but it still haunts me how terribly neglected my poor girl was while boarded there. This was the first time I had ever boarded her, so while away on a vacation I was in constant e-mail contact with the owner making inquiries about my dog. I was never given any indication of the severity of her status. Through written correspondence I was told she had loose stools and didn't want to play with the other dogs. When I inquired as to whether it could be some form of infection, I was told, quote, "It is probably just missing mom."Upon my return, when I went to pick her up, she was in an E-collar, bloomers covered in feces, and her right front leg had a severely infected abscess that had burst. Pus oozed all over my jeans when I hugged her.I WILL NEVER FORGET THE IMAGE AND THE SOUND OF MY POOR GIRL SCREAMING WHEN I RESCUED HER!

Not pleased. They Lost My Dog! God intervened with some generous people picking him up on the side of 93 before he became a "speedbump" and returned him to the kennel after calling us. I was further frustrated when they told me that it was my dog's fault he got out through a previously dug hole from another dog (not caught by their staff). Good price, but the people I chose to care for my dogs for 10 days, lost my dog. I'll give them that he's a small dog... but when your profession is to care for dogs..... c'mon.Of the two, one also came back with fecal matter all over his back side. Nice touch.

I brought my dog to be groomed. A day-and-a-half later he died. They had no explanation other than maybe it was stress. I am extremely distraught and have not, and will never, receive any sort of restitution or even apology.

The dogs can be heard throughout the building. Our cats were traumatized by that and now react badly to dogs barking, even on TV. A worker allowed a dog to approach my cat carrier aggressively in the lobby and frightened the cats. Some cats may be OK with canine experience, but this wasn't the place for us.

Very friendly people. Owners on site. Clean. Very reasonably priced. Treat your pets like their own. Pets get lots of attention and play time. They take the time to give you a daily report if you ask.

This is a resort in name only. Dogs are kept in crates and let out twice per day; staff is only there a few hours a day. Good marketing on their website but they are not good at caring for dogs.
