Don’t let the outside fool you, this is a great grocery store! The fresh meats were fantastic and we found everything we needed right here. Before you trek off to Walmart, try this adorable little Mom and Pop store in beautiful downtown Campton!

The cutest store. Great prices and everything you would need. Firewood was a damp inside couldn't light our fire. but everything else is amazing. Lady at counter was funny and personable. The cutest store

The Cupboard has survived from the 1890’s. Alas, only to have the current supervisor regularly snack on green grapes for sale to the public from the produce section. Always the front bag. Extra star as they recently swept the entire floor to a noticeable level.Clarifying: the guy walks by produce, plucks one grape or two from the bag that is FOR SALE & keeps on walking. Right in front of patrons. The photo is of the same guy playing on his phone, not eating anything. I’ve never seen him sit & eat. Merely pull food from the still for sale portion on the shelf. So if the guest pulls the first bag from produce, it’s been snacked on by your boy. Don’t try to twist it with your reply below. It’s a health department level violation. Minus one star for managements reply being idiotic.Assumed he was a supervisor because I only ever see him walking around. Never ringing register, never stocking or behind the deli/meat counter. My mistake. Maybe it’s you the “owner”.Do you also support your staff opening the premade hot dogs under the heat lamp, taking one bite then wrapping the hot dog back up to be sold, because that’s the equivalent.

Nice store but I would feel better in a store that has stools available for staff to use if they needed them.No one wants to stand on thier feet all day or see others forced to do it either

I was just in there few days ago Cycling 🚴‍♂️ on a hot day walked in to get a Gatorade to fill my Bottle walked around and boy o boy this place is Wicked Pissah Cool! Love the character of the store. I love the old School Store’s the new store’s can’t Touch what Campton Cupboard has! The Lady behind the Counter was very Friendly. I always like to support local Family owned businesses!

This is a great little grocery store. The outside looks like a little convenience store but don’t let it fool you. The inside has a lot of groceries, meat department, bakery, etc. For such a small footprint, it’s a great grocery option.

This store used to be great.Went to buy a few thingsPrepackaged pepperoni sticks had mold inside the package. So I started checking sell by dates on other items.Cookies- expiredCrackers- expiredMarshmallows- expiredThere are a number of other reviews discussing the same thing and reply’s from the store that they will address expired items on the shelves, but they were over 6 months ago. It seems nothing has changed.Giving up on food items, I bought firewood that was advertised as dry. Tired to start a fire with it and, guess what, it was wet.I also asked asked for an itemized receipt and the chaser told me I had to ask for before he started ringing up my purchase.If you go here, good luck.

It looks like at one point this was a nice little local store, then it changed hands. During our visit we noticed that the “fresh” meat was far from fresh (the chicken was dry and yellow, and the red meat had seen better days) so we decided to buy pre-packaged stuff only to find out that they had removed the sticker that indicates the “sell by” date from the package of ribs.If you’re buying dry goods, or frozen items, you’re probably fine, be stay away from the “fresh” items.

This store has been going down hill Since the new owners have taken over. Old meat rotting vegetables moldy bread has become the norm and it seems the owners don't seem care.

Pretty great store, good selection and reasonable prices.Really unfriendly staff, I feel like it's because of race and my desire to wear a mask. I'm always talked down to, and as though me being in the store is a pain to the workers. I have not had a single pleasant interaction with the staff, and I was given the stink eye the entire time I was in the store. Would not recommend if you are a POC or care about the pandemic. I will not be back again, and I will not be giving these people my money, even though it would save me 20 miles of driving.

This store is selling butter that expired 6 months ago. The store receipt is not itemized. Be careful and double check prices and expiration dates. UPDATE: Thank you for the response. We were driving by and stopped by your store, which is in such a beautiful location. We discovered the expired product issue while cooking dinner miles away - going back was not an option. I do hope you can remedy the issues outline in my original review. I cannot update the rating until I am back in the area and stop by and see the improvements implemented. I do hope I will stop by again in the future!

They have a great beer selection of local beers, some other local products, a solid deli and enough of your standard grocery products to make it worth your while. The staff is wonderful and very helpful so don't hesitate to ask them any questions while you're in there.If you're only staying a few days and you just need some essentials, you'll be in and out in no time!

My gf and I camped up that way and used this store to buy our food. We got awesome meats and the lady at the register was super helpful. This was actually last year I been searching for the name of this place so when I go back up in a month or so I'll have amazing outdoor dinners. Mmm mmm mmm

Campton Cupboard is a great little market to find a good deal of typical grocery items. It's not a supermarket, but it gets the job done. And it's a very short, quick drive from Thornton or Campton (in other words, you don't have to spend an extra 10-15 minutes driving down to Plymouth just to pick up some ketchup, or milk, or whatever else).

Been coming here since I was a child. It has recently switched owners and I'm happy to note that the new owners have done a great job, and are very friendly, and haven't changed things in any negative fashion, or removed the things that people always come back for or rely on as a fixture of the store (like the deli and bakery options etc), which is a great move on their part. Glad to see business is still thriving.

A convenient spot to pop into to supplement when you run out or forgot something. Their produce section is more hit or miss but we were able to find everything else we needed and appreciated the fresh baked goods and deli sections.

Prices are high, (groceries)it would be nice if the community was of best interest and not just the tourists. You'd get far more volume with better price!I will say that the meats and poultry are fairly priced, just wish they would change the brand of deli meats, low quality with similar pricing of a far better quality...

Very pricey. But the next closest market is far away. That's the only negative thing about them.The store is clean and organized well even though the exterior is a bit rough looking. It's also much bigger inside than I thought it would be. The range of product is also good.

I love this place. First you walk in to smiling faces at the front counter. Then you realize that what you see from the outside is only part of the place. They have a solid selection of all your grocery needs from canned good, fresh produce and a great cooler section, but then you find there deli/meat department. They have a wide variety of delicious deli foods and a fresh meat department that not rivals your large department stores, but blows them out of the water with prices that are just as good if not better. Then you walk back to a great beer cooler that stretches 40 feet. This place has an old time feel with a wonderful and friendly helpful staff. It's a must if your in the area and need anything from the store.

this place is good for a quick stop to pick up groceries for the ski condo or the campsite before entering the national forest. however, be sure to check the best before dates on the packaging. some items on the shelves are past their dates. walked away with product that was fresh and of good quality for the weekend in the end, just be sure to check for quality before you buy

I love this place. They have basically everything you need and are friendly. It's also very local to me so there is a convenience factor in this review. Most of the time their products are pretty well priced, but there are some that are very over priced (i.e $5.50 for cheez its). Good meat products and a great little spot.

My family has been coming here for at least 40 years. It is always stocked with our camps necessities! Recently they have modernized with new lighting and better customer logistics (easier to get in and out) and they can process cards very quickly.

Been buying my meats & spices for years ..but I am sorry to say that the last 3 trips ...Hamburg was grey & smelt over night ..yuck..our steaks 50 $ worth were tuff & could not even eat ..worst I ever had ...I can't go back ..plus they do not package or wrap meat ...so it spoils .A few months agoe I would have gave a 5 ⭐ rating . I hate giving bad rating.. food poisoning 😫

Great little local grocery store. It’s got 90% of what you need. People are super nice. It’s bigger than it looks from the outside. Actually has a full butcher and deli.

A rustic country store with a deli and an extensive selection of beers, both craft and domestic. Prices on cuts of meat and beer are competitive, but the rest of the store is over-priced, something that most people expect from a small local market. Sometimes there even live lobsters for sale. Certainly the best store in Campton and excellent for light grocery shopping.
