I asked for a box and the friendly cashier said they break them down as the go, I explained that it would be for my cat and she had the bagger boy give me the box that had the bags in it!It’s small but it’s cute and my cat loves itAlso remember to stop and smell the roses!They are beautiful.This nice lady was training a service dog and owner. In this moment I found happiness.

Have been going to Gilford shaws since forever and have always had great shopping experiences. However I recently moved and now shop here at the Belmont location. Last night I came in around 8:35 and immediately as i stepped in the woman who was bagging looked at me and my fiancé and said “Please Hurry up we’re trying to close here make it quick…” I didn’t realize they closed at 9, because the other one closes at 10. However, it was 8:35! Not like it was 8:55 and i was coming in, there was still over 20 minutes to store closing. So we “hurried” and got our things, got to checkout by 8:50 or so. We brushed the first comment off, as i understand everyone wants to leave work on time.However, even after we rushed to get to the register, she made another comment when we got there about “Oh glad you tried your best we have to make this quick”I’ve always worked in customer service, and was shocked to hear the multiple comments she made about this…. I’m not sure if she did the same to the other customer in the store; but it made us a bit uncomfortable and anxious!

Great grocery store Gilford location.The seafood and meat department are always fresh and has a great selection. This Shaw's has a bakery, pharmacy, flower, and deli department. Long time employees and friendly dept managers. Always check,your register recipes just in case the register rang up the items wrong

I love this store. The associates are always so helpful and nice. When I place online pickup orders they're always ready before pick up time.

Worst service ever. Cashiers were loud and pushy, they gave my family the biggest dirty looks and bad attitudes. And the weird creepy looks from the manager didn't help either. Waiting for them to finish scanning everything took the cake though. They scanned a pack of sodas then yelled at me to put it in the cart. By far, the worst place I've ever shopped and my family will not be returning there anytime soon. And I don't recommend anyone else go here. (This all pertains the the Belmont location, the Gilford location is astounding!)

I live less than 5 miles from this store but avoid it for a couple reasons. First, it is a bit pricey (but everything is pricey today in all fairness). The bigger reason is the rude and unprofessional employees. I gave in and went there yesterday to save time. I only needed to pick up a couple things and figured I would give it another chance, afterall it's been nearly a year since my last attempt. It's not worth the time saved. It happens every time, but I still left shocked at how rude these people are. The manager in the front is the worst. Never again-this review only applies to the Belmont store- I love the Gilford location -

Terrible! We got there at 8:53 PM to grab a thing of ziploc bags and the doors were locked!!!! The worker we flagged down was not very pleasant to talk to and just shook her head and crossed her arms while she guarded the door. On their doors it says it closes at 9 PM! So does Google. Disappointed immensely.

I've been shopping there for years. The price is okay little on the high side. But I only go to grab a few things, so I don't mind. Plus it's very convenient. Sense there's almost no other grocery store near by, other then Vista's and I don't like that store...

Layout of the store is totally confusing, absolutely zero rhyme or reason to where things are, or what things are grouped together with. No self checkout is another strike. However the only saving grace and why I won't mind going back in a pinch.... The staff, every employee I delt with was kind and engaging.

Really a great store, small enough to get in and out quickly, very friendly and helpful employees for the most part though the deli (mgr?) seriously lacking integrity, saw her blowing cigarette smoke in a cop/first responder's face while "inquiring" about someone else's police issue, some of these people are ex military/veterans and deserve the utmost in respect, this coming from a career dependent and ex military wife, makes it quite difficult to even shop produce, will never shop your deli

The good thing about this Shaw's is that it is never busy. It is considerably more expensive than Market Basket so I try to shop only for sale items. (The sales can be really good) The meat is sometimes poor quality. Bakery is small but some good items. Employees are usually pleasant.

A million thanks for the Shaws crew working Monday night, April 19th.They stayed late & offered great customer service.My husband & I walked in at 8pm this evening believing they closed at 10pm (hours posted on Google maps). We took our time; filled our cart and checked out at 9pm. Then we saw the sign, the store closed at 8pm!!!!!!No one in the store said a thing to make us speed up or rush to shop.Thank you!

Shaw’s is a grocery chain in the same corporate family as Safeway. There are several in the vicinity, nearest being those in Gilford and Concord. Do not be put off by the fact that this Shaw’s is the “anchor” for a largely desolate old mall. Inside, the store is clean, bright, and (usually) relatively well-stocked, with friendly stock people and cashiers. The produce, seafood, and meat selections are decent and the prices are what one would expect. Take a few minutes to get their app and make an account - it is easy and the savings really add up. If you are looking for a slightly higher-end store only a short drive away, the Shaw’s or Hannaford in Gilford would be a better choice. If you don’t need prime rib in a typical shopping trip, the Belmont Shaw’s is a solid option that likely will be less crowded than those other stores.

On May 14th 2021, I purchased two 8 PC. Fried chicken packs from the Deli dept. It was supposed to contain 2 thighs and 2 breasts in each package but employees packaged it with 3 thighs and 1 breast each. Clearly they are stealing the breasts for themselves. I'll go to Walmart for my deli supplies from now on.

Shaws in Belmont is the best. They always have what I am looking for and everything is very clean and organized. If ever I need help with anything I know I can count on them to lend a hand with a smile on their faces. They are always very kind and friendly 😊

I'm not a huge fan of Shaws, and this store is a great example of why. Kind of dated, pretty basic selection of groceries, kind of high prices. Really disappointing prepared foods selection.

Good place for meat bargains! I usually only shop the outer perimeter, though, because regular prices are higher than, say, Market Basket and Walmart. Three day sales (Friday thru Sunday) can be really good.

I often find Shaw's prices as good if not better than Walmart. I used to shop at Shaw's for all my groceries but the one closest to my home went out of business now I sometimes make a trip to Shaw's out of town if I'm buying several items as I always find what I want and the food is fresher.

I just go to this one, to get a few things the other Shaws doesn''t carry.On this last trip, I couldn't find about 7 items I usually get there.One they discontinued, so I'll have to source it somewhere else.They have O organic sliced pears in cans, but the O organic sliced peaches, were nowhere to be found.The canned fruit aisle is so disorganized. It's not arranged by type of fruit, aka ALL peaches in 1 place, all pears in one place, etc.Organic is randomly mixed in with non organic.This store keeps moving stuff around, so when you go to get it, it's not where it was b4.However, if you look really well, you can find some really great deals, like Annie's Bunny Fruit Snacks that are usually $3.69 a box, on sale for $1.69, with $1 off 2 boxes, making the final price $1.19 a box!That's cheaper than the generic GMO, high fructose corn syrup laden ones.I bought 12 boxes. One for each month of the year.I will buy another one, only when I use one,, and they'll never be out of date, I'll never run out of them, and I can save a LOT of money!I try to do this with all my dry goods, and eventually all the frozen I use. It's like freezing inflation for a year.12 boxes at the regular price of $3.69, would have been $44.28!12 boxes at $1.19 a box ($1.69 + .69 ($1.69 - $1 off coupon=.69)=$2.38 for 2 boxes. $2.38 divided by 2=$1.19 per box x 12= $14.28$44.28 - $14.28= $30 SAVINGS!

They offer 25% off their organic brand but every time you go to the register it never works and the cashiers admit it never works for other customers. Basically Shaws is running a scam to steal people's money. Don't advertise a discount and then charge people full price over and over and over again and not expect people to label you as a scammer.

Living in The lakes region there are a lot of options to shop at different grocery stores and market basket is my number one but if I can't find one of those stores I'll always rely back on Shaws

Location is good today 06-21-17 I went to Shaw'sto buy some flowers which was on display for sale I got the bouquet and the lady was inside the counter came in close to me and took the flowers from me saying they weren't for sale anymore and broke the 3 bouquet infront of my face and through them in trash . The flowers were beautiful there was nothing wrong with them. She was really mean to me. I am so desapointed with that place I just want to get out of there.I definitely won't come back there anymore.
