I checked-in not expecting much, but this hotel is a little gem. It's not fancy, but the rooms are very clean and have modern amenities. The owner family was very friendly and waited up for our late arrival. The location next the ski area and White Mtns is great. Great place if just want a clean comfortable place to stay between adventures in New Hampshire.

North Colony Motel is clean and cozy. Beds are very comfortable. Owners are wonderful people. Nice pool and playground for kids. Bonus is the enclosed, airy porch that runs the length of the motel so you're not stuck in your room during inclement weather. We were with a group, and it was nice having this common space to socialize. Also, all rooms have a storm door in addition to the solid door, so you can opt for the additional daylight in your room. Great trip!! We'll be back!

We recently stayed for our first time. It was so refreshing to find a small motel that is nicely taken care of and not run down. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean which is really important. The grounds are perfect for the kids to enjoy, there is a nice pool to use, a community fire pit as well as a ton of really fun play structures in the yard. Kudos to the owners for doing a great job with this motel.

Such a cute Motel. Check in and out was easy. We went for a nice swim and played in the beautiful play structures. They have so much detail and our son absolutely loved them. Our room was very clean and had enough room for a family of four with a pack and play. We will definitely be staying here again if we plan another trip to the area.

We stayed here for our last-minute ski trip up to Attitash. We were pleasantly surprised by how well maintained this motel is. The owner seemed to have used the pandemic to renovate the place. The bathroom looks new and well done and the entire room is very clean and not run down at all. There is a smart TV in the room that you can used all your streaming services on. We would definitely come back up here again.

We read the reviews before booking and they are all true. North Colony Motel was extremely clean and cozy. The children’s playground area was amazing. My daughter kept referring to it as “Mini Storyland” because it was so much fun. They also have a pool which was great to have on-site to keep the kids busy at the end of a long day. We would definitely book here again and highly recommend if you have young kids.

I can't say enough about this place. My daughter and I went for a quick vacation and I couldn't be happier that we stayed here. Staff was absolutely incredible, the coolest playground ever my daughter loved it. The pool was perfect, rooms were clean, and booking, check in, and check out couldn't have been easier. I don't think I'll be staying anywhere else when we go to the White Mountains!

The accommodations are modest but well kept, the rooms are clean and the service is supper. Centrally located between Storyland and Santa's Village, it is great starting point for someone staying a few nights. This is our 2nd time back and the kids absolutely love the pool, the swings and the tree houses. It is wonderful place for the entire family.

I have traveled all over the country and much of the world, and this is literally my #1 favorite hotel for a family with young kids (and I'm a Disney fanatic so that's really saying something).Here's why:-Super convenient location to Storyland and a nice walking trail on the Saco river. It's only a quick drive into Conway for a ton of restaurants and other good stuff.- Really nice, deep pool. Refreshing but not too cold, plenty of seating, and a fun little basketball hoop for the kids. It's deep though, so bring your floats!-The rooms are clean and a fine cozy size, and the mini fridge is really handy for keeping sandwiches and snacks. Perfectly adequate for a budget motel.-Those play structures! Tons of room to play, and all the other kids come out on the weekends to entertain your kids for you. Win/win.As long as my kids want to keep coming to Storyland, we'll keep staying at the North colony!

My fiance and I rented a room from here to enjoy a kid free getaway for the weekend. We stayed Friday through Monday. The staff were super friendly and the price was comparable to other motels and inns nearby. The room was very clean, so no complaints there. The only thing that was a bit of a disappointment with the room was that there was no fan in the bathroom and the window in the shower was not the most functional and was very rusty, the curtains in the one window in the bedroom was very broken and super hard to open and close, there wasn't any actual handsoap in the bathroom so we just used the complimentary shampoo, and everything in the room was mostly outdated. Again, no super huge issues, everything worked and while we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, these were things that would have made our stay just a bit better. There are, however, great play structures for kids! Grills for guest use! And a fire pit! 🔥 You could hear the train which I loved 😍 and all around had a lovely time. I would honestly say that if we were returning to the area to stay again, I am on the fence about whether I would return to this motel or try somewhere different.

My family and I stayed for one night in the middle of the week, and we had a blast. The pool was warm, playground was so fun for my three year old and the view out front of the motel is very pleasant. It's not too far off from the center of all that's appealing in North Conway, but still distanced enough that you're no where near the heavy traffic and noise. We'll be looking forward to staying again next year.

My family stayed at this lovely motel in July of 2021. We found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. Our two and four year old little boys had a great time on the extraordinary playground. The pool was beautiful and amazingly clean. Donna was very attentive to our needs and extremely pleasant to work with. The proximity to Storyland and Living Shores was an added bonus. We are planning to stay here for our yearly trips to Storyland.

Our young kids were in heaven, the playground was the best part of our stay. They were up at 6am to get more play time in. Room was clean, nice upgraded bath, only reason for 4 stars is the fact that air was stale when we got in and since it was about 100 degrees outside, it took a while to get it to a point we wanted to close the door. Beds were comfy and pool area also nice- only very deep for small kids- we had life jackets so kids were ok swimming there

We stayed here a couple weeks ago for 1 night. On a Saturday during ski season! Every other place to stay wanted 2 nights. The room was large and clean, microwave, fridge, large bathroom that looked recently rehabbed. Price was perfect. Owners were friendly. Can't beat the location. The North Colony will be our place to stay when we go up to ski.

Had a great stay this past weekend. Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean with plenty of towels and the playground is any young child's dream. My 2 yr old and 4 yr old grandsons had an incredible time. Very close to storyland and much more. Also very surprising how little you hear noise from other rooms, since you know it’s tough keeping 2 little boys quiet all the time :-) Highly recommend!!!

You don’t usually associate “impeccably clean,” “awesome unique playground,” or “family friendly place with well-maintained grounds” with motels, so here’s a diamond in the rough. A great place for those with young kids. Nice heated pool. Special, unique playground. A fire pit, a clothesline, multiple grills. Very convenient to StoryLand. Only criticisms were the WiFi was spotty and the time on our alarm clock was wrong, but that wasn’t enough to knock a star off my review. Reasonably priced, great location, clean, and a motel that’s actually fun to be at instead of just a place you crash out of necessity.

We love, love, love North Colony Motel! This year was our 4th time to stay there and everything has always been excellent. Our youngest granddaughter thinks it is part of Storyland. Amazing playground. Great pool. Very nice enclosed porch outside the rooms. Lots of great places to get food nearby. Staff very friendly and very helpful.

I remember one time in college when my team and I were skiing/racing at Attitash and we got stranded there overnight because a REALLY BAD storm came in late Saturday afternoon, and we couldn't get back to Vermont (we were supposed to race Killington next) until later on Sunday morning. They put us up at North Colony Motel & Cottages, (we luckily got the last two "Cottages" available) and our ten-person team hunkered down for the night in Bartlett. We were shown such an AMAZING amount of "New Hampshire hospitality" it really was incredible.Our team was a USCSA Eastern Division Team based out of the Berkshires (down in Western Massachusetts) and we raced ALL OVER the New England region, (as well as in upstate New York), and honestly NO PLACE treated us better (including in Massachusetts itself) than New Hampshire did. Whether we were at Sunapee, Loon, Attitash, Bretton Woods, Black, Dartmouth Skiway, Gunstock, Cannon, Crotched, Cranmore, Pat's Peak, Ragged, Wildcat or Whaleback, we were ALWAYS treated EXCEPTIONALLY well at the NH 🏔️'s. As the Team Coach, I recall that with a lot of clarity and fondness.

Best playground at a hotel ever! Kids had so much fun and Cinderella came to visit while we were here. Lots of space to run around. Rooms were clean and updated. Owners were inviting and super helpful! We will be back for sure!!
