I joined this group almost 2 years ago. I was looking for things to do not only for myself, but ones where my rescue dog would also be included. I found Golden Dog Adventure Co., and it was all I could have imagined. This group does so many fun walks and hikes, many of which also combine some learning/training instruction from certified dog trainers! Sometimes at the end of a walk or hike there is a place where we can sit and partake of food and/or drinks. It’s a wonderful way to socialize with other dog loving people and their fur kids! Highly recommend!

I joined Golden Dog Adventure a couple of years ago to be able to do more with my dog. I have met wonderful people with common interests on having experiences with their dog, learn more about training and enrichment. I have enjoyed many hikes and socials, I feel I am a better companion for my dog and get support with my reactive dog. I am grateful and thankful for this group and looking forward to more adventures!

I have been a member of Golden Dog Community for almost a year.The organizer, is Great, she visits every place we go in advance, she puts hours into planning each adventure. I am amazed at all Tracie has accomplished in under a year. It. is a very accepting of all people who love dogs and want to do things with their dogs.

What a great group of dog lovers to be a part of! Wonderful opportunities to connect with other people and enjoy learning more about working/living with your dog. Having the chance to visit other areas in our state and surrounding states to hike or be a part of a special activity with a group. Having unique programming to learn from different trainers has been a big bonus. Come join the fun!

It Takes a Village is run by the friendly and professional Traci Bisson. She has hired a group of excellent sitters. They did an amazing job taking care of my elderly cat while I was away. I very much appreciate all the attention they gave him and the care they showed for his well being. A truly wonderful group of professionals. This business does background checks, is insured and bonded. Payments are processed through their online portal where you will also get updates on each visit that include GPS tracking of the sitter from the moment they arrive at your home to when they leave.

We have been using It Takes a Village Pet Care for a few years now. Traci has been a life saver on several occasions. She continually provided several last minute coverage requests for us when my dad was critically ill and we had an unpredictable schedule. She even left thoughtful notes and flowers for us as encouragement. We will never forget her kindness! We now have a new puppy and a new care provider, Courtney. Courtney continues to give our two Shelties lots of amazing cuddles, walks, play time, puzzles and games at each visit. She is also Amazing! She is fabulous with all temperaments from the very shy to the over exuberant! We love that she loves our dogs! We appreciate the ability to book on line, get live updates on our dogs (including pics) at each visit and the ease to communicate through the It Takes A Village pet portal!

We, and more importantly, our boys love It Takes A Village! Traci and her team were able to set us up with dog walks while I was in the hospital this spring/summer and were so amazing that we kept the walks when I came home! They are quick to answer questions, knowledgeable about our animals needs and always give our dogs an excellent workout! Our situation is a little different than most as I am a stay at home mom and I am usually there when Patty comes to walk the boys! We get to interact with her (and previous walkers Sarah and Courtney) and they are all friendly and nice! The dogs love them, we love them and will continue to use their services! I highly recommend It Takes A Village and actually did so as a professional dog walker myself when I quit the business to care for my kids. They are the best around!

The care and professionalism we've received from the It Takes a Village crew is outstanding! One of our two dogs has trust issues with strangers, but after the first few visits, with very much appreciated love and understanding, both of our dogs are happy, and we can tell from the pictures and updates we get after every visit that they love and trust them, and so do we! They go above and beyond to meet your pups needs, and I highly recommend them!

We hired Traci to care for our 3 dogs while we were away. We were very nervous to do this since other than family they were never with others.2 were show dogs the other my hiking companion so we were nervous and extremely picky with others around them.Traci came by to meet them and learn about each one. The big dogs who were very skittish, took to her pretty quick. The trail dog loved her instantly.Traci proved to us that she knows exactly what she is doing, is trustworthy and the biggest thing being she treated each of our dogs with love, kindness and respect. The dogs trusted her, we trust her with them and our home.She had her hands full here, each dog had its own food regimes and 2 on meds.Other than family, we only trust It Takes A Village pet care. Traci and her ‘village’ at It Takes A Village Pet Care are reliable, responsible professionals who are committed and second to none when it comes to insuring fur babies will receive all the love and care they need and deserve.The care that has been provided during our time of need has been immeasurable and we will always be grateful for the kindness and flexibility Traci and her team provided.Our family was going through an extremely difficult when we were traveling back and forth to care for a family member with stage 4 cancer. Appointments & need were unpredictable but she was always so caring and accommodating with every request. It was an incredible relief to know and feel that our pups were in good hands during such a difficult and stressful time.Another situation worth sharing is my husband and I work an hr from home. During one of Traci’s visits she’d come upon our Boxer having had a medical emergency, this was in the evening after veterinary hours. She notified us immediately and while I was on my way, she brought our boy to the veterinary hospital and stayed with him until I got there, and longer. Days following she called and messaged to follow up and see how he was doing.It Takes A Villiage is a truly amazing team who truly adore all animals big and small. Our dog, Lulu and all our farm animals are our babies. Really we feel so protective over their health and safety that it takes a lot for us to entrust their care with someone. Unfortunately that meant we were stuck on the farm and not having vacations. We found ourselves in a lurch last year and desperate for immediate animal care and found It Takes a Village Pet Care in our area. When Traci and her team showed up we were blown away. Well organized- animal centered- so loving, so knowledgeable and man they run a great organized ship! We loved them from the first . I can’t tell you how great the gift of being able to leave home and know we can relax and trust those who are diligently caring for our pets AND our home is. We use their service often to stop by if we are away for the day to take our Lulu for a walk, feed her and keep her company for a bit. They always bring in packages and send us pictures and let us know how she is doing. We are so impressed and grateful. They truly set a high standard and meet it.

Bud just loves it when someone from It Takes a Village Pet Care comes to take care of him! Louie benefits as well but he is a little shy. Bud loves to cuddle and take selfies with his Care person Karen! I love knowing my kitties are well taken care of. I especially like the pictures I get and daily reports that I can view daily. Traci and the others at It Takes a Village did an amazing job of watching our pets when we were at the hospital for the birth of our daughter. We already had a lot on our mind with her birth so not having to worry about the fur babies being taken care of was perfect. Scheduling was super easy and having Traci come to do the consultation was wonderful so she got to see our routines in action. My husband and I are extremely happy with the care provided by Traci and the It Takes a Village team. Our Jack Russell, Archie, loves the attention he receives from Traci when we need to be gone for an extended time during the day or night. Archie's treat of choice is human interaction. Besides letting him out to work off his energy and take care of his business, Traci gives him the love and attention he craves. We appreciate that Traci individualizes her care to suit the needs of the pet, in Archie's case, lots of snuggles and cuddling. Traci and the team at It Takes A Village Pet Care are just PAWsome! It is such a comfort knowing that our pup, Finley, is in such good hands. They truly care for her as if she were their own. So, for me... to know that love & care is a given while I work - helps me to do my job...well, truly...this past month was as if I won the lottery!! Traci and her family went beyond the call of duty! They gave up a room in their home, and family time to grace my sweet girl with comfort and care beyond my expectations! Each and every day there was a vet appointment, Traci's taxi service was there. Even in the need of surgery for "my girl", Traci coordinated the procedure, after care & medications to be sent to her home with compassionate loving care. I am absolutely thrilled with It Takes a Village Pet Care! I've got 2 senior dogs, one of which is a special needs 17 year old. The people that ITAV sends over has been very considerate of their needs and personalities, also very quick to respond to any of my questions or suggestions. Every day I get a report (complete with pictures!) of how and what my guys are doing. The reports come immediately after the ITAV visit so I don't have to wait long at all to hear from them. The ITAV staff is very understanding and has a caring and humorous way about them with their reports. Very highly recommended!!

I just can’t say enough about Traci and her team. We had a last minute trip out of state and Traci said no problem, we can fit you into the schedule! She first came over to meet my 3 boys and get an idea for their schedule and all of their individual needs. Then Holly came the day before we left to do a dry run while we were still home. It really helped the boys to understand she wasn’t a threat and that it was acceptable for her to be inside the house (they can be a tad territorial to strangers in the house) They all took to Holly right away and boy did she treat them as if they were her own! She sent updates after each visit with detailed explanations of how much fun they had, who went potty and who didn’t etc etc. Plus I got amazing photos from each visit as well! The over the top care we received for our fur babies really put us at ease during our trip. I would highly recommend Traci and her team to everyone for in home pet care, I just wouldn’t trust my dogs with anyone else but them!

I have no worries about how my German Shepherd, Sirus, is during the day because I know he is in good hands and being cared for like he was their own. He gets his midday walk, has his water bowl checked and filled, and receives his treat daily. They make my dog feel special and loved and I get a daily update email at the end of the visit along with pictures of a very happy dog!! I don’t know what I would do without the team from It Takes a Village Pet Care!!
