Our pup is family. For a second time in 6 months we brought her to see Dr. Tom. He is very good with her and she is very distrustful of men in general. She was in good health, he allayed our fears with a careful reassuring dissertation of what he found, he was patient with his explanations. 5 stars all day long

When you arrive you have to wait in your car and call to check in. They still require masks and only one person is allowed to go in with the animal. The wait in the car was long, well over an hour. Once we were seen it was very quick and painless though and they took good care of my dog who has an ear infection. They gave him a quick visual check up on his whole body, then proceeded to check the affected ear. The doctor showed me how to give him his medicine, I paid (a very fair price) and we were on our way. Overall a very good experience and this being the closest vet to me, I will definitely be back. I had an emergency in July with my female chocolate Labrador retriever. It was right after the 4th of July. Let's just say the place was packed. It took 2 hours to see the vet. I was impressed with how they effectively took care of the 20+ dogs and cats, skipped their lunch break, and treated my poor pups hot spot and ear infection. I am grateful for the services of this small town vet.

Rude staff member doesn't seem to think decent customer service is a necessary part of their business. Usually I have a positive experience with the staff which is why I always opt to buy expensive medication direct from them to support small business. My last bill for one of my Saint Bernards was over $600 and the major cost was medication. Today one of the staff woke up on the wrong side of the bed and decided depart from any sense of professionalism and customer service, instead choosing to be condescending, upset, and generally offputting to the point that if you overheard the phone call you would think we knew eachother personally and had been in an argument. God knows why, but it'll cost them what would have been a lifelong customer. Customer service is fundamental to any business and ignoring it for whatever personal issues you have is not acceptable... not for me anyway. Some people don't know how to leave their issues at home.

They butchered my poor pup. Caves in Concord saved the day or days after they literally said it looked liked my dog was in a butcher shop for a simple spayed procedure. Don't trust them.. . Go anywhere else if you care about any living thing. My Doggo is missing a kidney and the owner has been in violation of his license multiple times. He is a joke. Also cost me $10,000 to save her. Thanks great brook for the nightmares you will most definitely be hearing from the state licensing board

After my own vet failed me on more than one occasion, I sought recommendations from a local FB site. Great Brook did not disappoint! Within 15 minutes my sweet little dog was diagnosed, treated, and sent home. We’ll follow up after the infection is gone, and he may lose a tooth…. But when I called to explain the problem they told me to bring him right in. No excuses, just genuine caring. Thanks Great Brook….

Staff were very friendly and helpful both on the phone and with my pet. I was nervous about the "drive up service" experience but it went very well. The vet listened and discussed treatment over the phone with me during the examination. My pet was registered, seen and released within an hour.

Great Brook was highly recommended to me, so I brought my pup there. My previous vet was too busy. My girl was not likely to make it, but Dr Tom did all he could, he and the staff went above and beyond! All of their efforts were very much appreciated at a very difficult time. The absolute worst customer service I've experienced. She was straight up rude on the phone. Our dog was behind on a shot and she continued to belittle us and tell us we are not good pet owners. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me she was the owner. She did not make it easy for us to try to get an estimate or understanding of what is needed to get our dog up to date. I had finally had enough of her rudest and we decided to go somewhere else

I love Dr. Tom, he and his staff are very compassionate, kind and caring. Dr. Tom will listen to you and answer any questions or concerns you may have about your pet. His prices are reasonable and I appreciate the walk in policy.

I gave one star because I can’t give none. I brought my cat here as a walk in and they told me he was just suffering from the hurps virus and that eye drops and antibiotics would help him and he would start to get better in 48 hours. They got him in quickly and almost as fast we were leaving. They told me it wasn’t to serious and that he would be better, they didn’t do anything for him. I had to have him put down today because this place doesn’t seem to care if there not a regular patient there. So good luck bring ur sick fur baby’s there, they won’t care and just end up being the reason your family member dies. There was no reason they couldn’t catch what was wrong with him and recommend us to go to an emergency vet in the first place.

Dr. Tom is amazing. Frodo is a new patient and he is at least 17, maybe 18 and I feel like he is in the best hands now. I've been having trouble getting an appointment with my long term vets so we are now officially with Great Brook 🐶🐕

Dr Tom helped me out of a stressful situation today and I am so grateful. My dog was scheduled with my regular vet for a procedure to remove her injured dewclaw tomorrow. The procedure was canceled due to doctors being out sick and being under Covid quarantine. I was rescheduled for TWO weeks from now. This was after already spending 3 weeks seeing if it would heal on its own, plus additional delays of 1 week. I called around to quite a few clinics that couldn’t help me at all or couldn’t see me for 3-4 weeks! My dog and I were both miserable from 3 weeks of her wearing a cone and daily washing of the area. My dog was Obsessively licking any time she was without the cone. The staff was very kind and got me in without a long wait. Dr Tom was able to twist and pull the nail right off. Dog is feeling better. I am feeling better. NOW we’re on the road to recovery! Thanks so much.

The staff at Great Brook has been very helpful over the years. Dr. Tom is amazing with animals. He/they have helped when it's time to say goodbye to my dog due to lyme disease. Walk in time is very quick. Yet the staff doesn't rush you out if you have questions. I have brought a number of cats and dogs here for a number of reasons. I'll continue to do so.

Great Brook is such a wonderful place to bring your animal family members. Dr. Tom is so compassionate and truly cares about the animals. I had to put one of my dogs to sleep and the staff couldn't have been more wonderful through such a difficult time and then I got a card in the mail in her memory. Dr. Tom doesn't push unnecessary procedures to make money. I have been to other vets in the past and Great Brook is very reasonably priced and the best care. The walk in hours are great too, there is no waiting months to get an appointment and you can make it after work or whatever time works best for you. I would recommend them to anyone who wants the best for their pets.

I’ve had a few experiences with this vet practice that have left me with an unsettled feeling. First of all the front desk staff are rude and seem genuinely disinterested in the customers. The doctor seems nice enough but the care my pets have received has been sub par overall. There is no follow up care. The last straw was finding out my cat is overdue for his rabies shot! I expected to be getting a reminder in the mail but never saw one. I finally called to check because I kept thinking it seems like enough time has gone by. Turns out, he was due 6 months ago! No reminders, no nothing! They can’t even get something as simple as that right! I’m done with them! I might also add that they managed to send me a reminder that my dog was due for his shots after they had put him to sleep! That was a nice condolence note. So done!

I love the "walk in" hours. It is such a relief to not have to make an appointment! Dr. Dowling and his staff are obvious animal people, yes of course vetranarians start off doing this job because they love animals, but these people show affection and care for each pet I bring in and I always feel comforted by the way they talk to and handle my pets.

We came here because we always heard good things and had a good experience with our cats here. Well we brought our new puppy here because he scratches uncontrollably and has patches of fur missing and sores all over his body. He said it was dry skin and gave us an antibiotic and antihistamine and some shampoo. No test or anything. Our pup was already seen before we got him for the same issue and told them the same thing.Well none of that did anything and our puppy was miserable so we decided to bring him for a second opinion to Compassion vet hospital in Bradford. That dr took one look at him and said I’m pretty sure he has mange. Tell tale signs of it. Tested him and sure enough sarcoptic mange.He had all these same things when seen by great brook. How did he miss this?! How did he not even think it was worth testing and looking more into like this dr did?!Awful. Also the older lady that took our pup inside was kinda snotty. I can’t remember her name Becky maybe?Terrible attitude.

They are amazing! Super friendly staff, they have helped me so much when my cats became mama's. Did a great job when one of them needed a c-section pretty quickly. Prices are also affordable.

So many vets look for ways to just charge you up to the maximum; Dr. Tom never has, and has been straightforward, honest, and interested in taking care of our pets primarily.

Dr. Tom, Sharon, and the whole staff are amazing. They gave us an extra year with our beloved Shi tzu Sammy. When the time came for him to cross the rainbow bridge they were so compassionate. Since then they have cared for our two cats and two dogs whenever we need vet services. They even handle our cat who is seven pounds of claws and furry. Great prices and the walk in policy is fast and convenient. No appointment needed.
