Wanted to make an appointment to have my dog's nails trimmed, we have gone to this location before with success. I called and left a message on the voicemail and did not get a call back. I called back a couple of days later and left a message with customer service requesting a call back from grooming to schedule. I received a text later that day saying that they had availability the next day at either 12:00 or 1:00. I responded immediately that 1:00 would be great. I showed up at 1:00 that day and there were no groomers in the store, I was told they went home earlier. I showed her the text and she apologized and scheduled me for noon the following day. The next morning, I received a call that noon was unavailable. I explained the situation from the previous day and she told me there is a lag in the computer texting. Extremely disappointed in this customer service, I will not be returning.

Had a wonderful grooming appointment with Mackenzie. She always treats my dogs with kindness, love and care. I wouldn't trust anyone else to groom them.

Love this Place! Convenient to many other stores and helpful staff. Picking up a nice new name tag for a new best friend took less than 15 minutes on the automated engraving machine. Parking is always easy and several other great stores and restaurants are a short walk or drive.

We purchased a large "Pet Safe" soft Muzzle and when we got home realized the package was empty. We will see how this location handles the issue and edit the review accordingly.

Took the dog out for a ride to the toy store. We were able to find what we were looking for. The staff was friendly and greeted us warmly. I will be back when I head back up for work in August.

It’s been so difficult to find a groomer for my little guy as every groomer isn’t taking new clients or won’t take doodles. On a last ditch effort we decided to try Petco grooming and I’m so grateful that we did. Sarah in grooming is so wonderful and sweet. She eased all of our concerns and was tentative and understanding with all of our grooming requests. She had him groomed so much quicker than any other groomer we’ve gone to and did so much better work than them. Someone this compassionate and hard working deserves any good things coming her way. I will gladly be coming back to this petco for my grooming needs if only to work with Sarah again. I truly hope all her hardwork gets noticed and rewarded.(Before and after photos attached, we wanted him short and sweet for the summer. Ollie is feeling so much more free in the heat and ready for summer fun!)

We had a good trip, found what we needed quickly. The selection of animals seemed a bit more interesting than what we usually see at the pet store, especially for the reptiles.

I love going in and looking at the animals... They have beautiful parakeets... Wish I could get one... But I have fish instead... The staff go beyond and I cannot say a big enough thank you to (K or C) Krystie and (B) sorry maybe Bri?? But you guys are the Best!!!!!

Mildly friendly staff, store not well stocked/overstock carts in the way too, a lot of flies inside guinea pig enclosure, poor hamsters had empty food dishes, many items had no pricing then couldn't find an associate to check for me. Cashier was fairly efficient and somewhat friendly. I'm sorry to say that I expected better.

Went to get fish today and the women who helped us was amazing. She was the worker with the fish and reptiles. She had so much knowledge and had so much patience answering all of our questions. She even let the kids hold and pet some reptiles. Give that women a raise! Wish I got her name. Thank you so much!

We scheduled a nail trim appt for our dog on Monday morning at this location. We received a text message on Sunday asking us to confirm the appt (we did) and then another message on Monday morning reminding us of the appt. We also received an email on Monday am reminding us of the upcoming visit. I arrived at the store on time only to be informed our appt had been cancelled. The clerk mentioned customers were either called/texted about cancellations - which clearly was not the case.Failure to notify is disrespectful to your customers, I wasted my time and had to re-arrange my work schedule to accommodate your groomer. We were not offered another appt to perform this service.Stuff happens, we understand. With automated systems in place, how hard is it to alert customers when there is a schedule change? Clearly you had our contact information in your system .

Stopped in for some fish today for our tanks. Harley was working in the aquarium section. He was very knowledgeable. Extremely helpful . He helped us with our selection and tips to help us be successful with the breeds we picked out . Made for a great experience. Skip J

They like to book online then cancel 10 minutes later. They don't know how to cut my dogs nails They never did the ends of her paws and they grew out to long so now they can't be any lower than they paw it self. The one child in nashua called me a bit** and I called corporate and yet she still has her job. They will literally hire ANYONE to groom your pet with or without the experience one should have at a pathetic place like this.

The store is clean and we'll organized, the animals look healthy and they have a good variety of dog food for my dog that only eats limited ingredients food. However, I give the 3 stars because it's tedious, to say the least, when you want to checkout: you have to give phone number, donations are required since the "no thanks" button doesn't even work and the cashier even seems shocked when I declined to give my phone number, that's personal information, I just don't want to share it in the middle of a store.I miss the good old times when you went to a store and paying was the only requirement to purchase something.

We recently decided to setup a small fish tank at home. We went to Petco and I can't say I had the highest of expectations for help on getting the tank setup. However, Allyssa (hopefully I spelled her name right), who is a Manager there, was absolutely fantastic. She helped us pick on the tank, make sure we knew how to get it setup properly, pick out our fish, and then even take good care of us when a few of the fish didn't make it through the first day. My kids love having the fish and I was rally impressed with the service we received.

0 stars. I ran out of hay today and my local tractor supply didn’t have what I needed, so I had to unfortunately go to the pet store. The closest one was the Petco In Amherst NH. Absolutely horrendous and exactly why I do not go to pet stores. The Guinea pigs were being kept in a tiny fish tank with NO hay. Hay is 80% of their diet and they need access to it 24/7. I attempted to ask a manager to please give them hay, and he REFUSED. He refused and said they only get hay twice a day and they already ate it so they don’t get anymore. When I attempted to inform him of Guinea pigs diet he refused to accept the information and stated they will not get any hay. Please do not shop here. I am a volunteer at a nonprofit rescue and this is not acceptable care of these poor piggies. Please do not support this store as they are intentionally neglecting these animals and not feeding them properly. This is the exact reason why our rescue is so overrun with thousands of Guinea pigs because of pet stores like this one.

I decided to try out this Amherst street location given all the availability. I was very pleasantly surprised how friendly the staff is and how well they took care of my cavalier/spaniel. Sara is very talented and my dogs groom came out perfect! I'm very happy with the services.

Worst ever! DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE! I book appointment and when I got there they said the person that will do for my dog grooming just left and they don’t have anyone to do it, They should have called me earlier to let me know instead of wasting my time!

I’ve gone to Petco’s groomer service several times. It’s not ever my first choice in groomers, but I do, or did use them as a back up. Unfortunately every time I’ve gone there has been a small problem here or there. Such as having my pets face cut uneven, or cutting her hair too short, or cutting hair in places that I specifically specified not to, or missing a claw when clipping them. Now these problems are to be expected when using a company such as Petco or Petsmart for grooming.However, it is unacceptable for them to cancel your appointment, with no prior phone call or exclamations on why they are canceling it and just sending you a “text message notification” confirming your cancellation without an exclamation why.So as one does, I called them to see if it was a possible mix up and to ask for an explanation on why my appointment has been canceled and why I didn’t receive any type of phone call prior to the cancellation.The reason why they canceled my appointment because they lost a team member. I asked why I didn’t receive a phone call to inform me that my appointment was being canceled, and her exclamation was ”I’m sorry, there’s just too many apartments to call to inform about the cancellation.”I understand that stuff happens from time to time that is out of your control and I understand that you may be short on staff. However, it is your responsibility as a business to call each and every appointment and let them know about the unfortunate inconvenience of their appointment cancellation, even if you have to leave a voicemail, it is your responsibility. This is something that can be done while you are making the cancellations and marking them off as you call each person.This reflects you and your company in many way. It shows that you don’t care about the people who use your business enough to have the type of relationship that even the smallest bit of respect for them.
