The Hannaford Super Market in Alton Bay, NH is the market we frequent the most, especially during this pandemic. The aisles seem to be wider than most other supermarket chains and the employees do not continually block the aisles. They practice social distancing and wipe the counters between customers. We’ve felt safe there. The shelves have been mostly stocked and the prices reasonable. Very good selection of meats, fish, vegetables and fruit. The sore and parking lot is well lighted and everything is clean. Generally a good shopping experience.

The older woman in the pharmacy was less than pleasant and not in any way helpful..I'll gladly take my business elsewhere.

I went there to get something to drink for a trip. The store is neat and clean plus the prices are very good. Hannafords is close enough for our vacation that I can go there every day. My wait in line was short because there was one person in front of me. This place is recommended.

The pharmacy is the WORST I have ever used. Last two prescriptions were screwed up. Long lines, incompetent staff. I am going to drive all the way to CVS in Laconia from now on.

Good selection. Very convenient for Alton residents! A bit more pricey than some other grocery stores. Rewards program is good if you buy their store brands.

Always a pleasure to visit. Shelves are well stocked. Store is clean. Prices are good. Staff is nice.After being in the Caribbean for a year, it's nice to see reasonable prices!

I've always loved Hannaford. This is a nice store close to me in Wolfeboro where I can buy most of my groceries for a more reasonable price than in town. The Alton store has friendly workers and is stocked well. It's not too large to get lost in but not too small to need to limit inventory. When I use the automated checkout, it's one of the fastest and error free versions I've used.

I was told by the service rep I was wasting her time asking to buy lottery tickets and to use machine. I don't see well and was told they are understaffed and I was told I was making it worse.

Well stocked, clean, friendly staff. I was just in recently and noticed all the self check outside now, and only two regular lanes open. When you buy a whole cart of groceries, trying to self checkout is crazy! Takes 3 times the time! No space! I can see how easy it is to steal stuff. I'll see how they are doing mid summer when all the summer folks are here.

Store overall is ok. Prices are crazy and at first the pharmacy was good but then they started messing up my wife's scripts. Would text saying meds were due for refill she'd fill them and wouldn't get them for over a week and one of the female pharmacists was quite rude about her going in to question it.

I'm so done with hannaford! I stopped by tonight to get a few things for dinner . And I went to the check out and forgot my wallet. I told the clerk and ran out to get my wallet . Came back paid and left . Got all the way home and they forgot to give me two items. (I didn't think to check when I left the store ). So I called them , the woman said yes, we have the items here .just bring in your receipt and you will be ok. I went down told them I spoke to someone and that I left a bag here . That was a lie!! They made me go back and get the two items , I was just there less than 8 minutes ND I had to go back around the store for two fricken items . Ridiculous that they could not do that or just simply put my bag aside like the girl on the phone said they where doing .so I was not happy I had to drive back and run around a store again. I get it things happen , but to make ur customers go back when it was ur fault. IT is appalling How last week I got a moldy strawberry rhubarb pie in Concord and now bad service tonight. This is absolutely unacceptable HANNAFORD you need to do better or people are going to shop elsewhere.

Still waiting for the products they promised when they opened. Would also be nice if the didn't open lower priced bags of onions to sell at a higher price (watched that happen), and if their "special" produce lasted more than a day before going bad. High price, not great quality

I am not a huge fan of the smaller local Hannafords stores as they seem to be poorly stocked. I was presently surprised by Alton. Well stocked and everything you could need. I was there Sunday morning and it was really busy. All check outs were open and even though it was full of shoppers there was only a small wait at the checkout. A+

The deli department here is really good; Boar's Head brand products and good store made items like chicken salad. Good bakery department too. Usually they have what I am looking for or an adequate substitute.

I really like the store and employees, but their selection of many products is often lacking. Not everyone wants diet drinks, so you should have the regular version of most kinds. Lots of things they only carry one flavor or the diet version.

I shop here because of convenience but I simply don't like the store. Lots of young people working there while the older folks seem grumpy, unfriendly and seldom smile, so they don't come across as friendly.

Great staff and wide variety of food items. The deli and bakery are top notch. The rewards program is great too. They all worked tirelessly through the pandemic to serve the public's needs.

Nice, clean store and friendly employees. I was surprised that many had no masks on, which was kinda of nice since it's so hard to breathe in them anyway. Now, when we get back to TX we will have to wear them. I liked the fact the store was the same distance from our home in Tx to the local grocery store called H.E.B.

I like the Hannaford in Alton a lot. Even though it isn't as big as the 2 in Rochester, the people that work there are friendly, helpful, and super kind. I generally don't have any trouble finding what I want, like I said they aren't as big as some, but I like the convenience, as they are right off the Alton traffic circle, and have everything I need and they are friendly!

Lots to buy here but prices are on the high side they definitely yes definitely raise the prices so they can take advantage of welfare recipients at the beginning of month shame on them. Meats suck but better than walmart hamburger. Watch for colored burger that's grey in the middle and colored on outside to hide the grey.

Horrible experience with poorly trained management today. I am disabled and can not drive, the credit card machine was obviously having issues and the manager refused to help in any useful way and was very rude, I have stress induced seizures, this was the last thing I needed this morning. I can only get to a store once a week so I have no food or rent for the week. Please train these people put into management positions!

Worst Pharmacy Experience Ever!!!My very sick husband went to the Urgent Care next door and the doctor called over some prescriptions. I went right over to the pharmacy to drop off the papers for the other two. She said “great thank you, about 35 minutes”, this was at 3:25. So we waiting until 4 and I went back in. I checked in at the pick up counter and they hadn’t even started his prescriptions yet. Twenty minutes later she calls me up and says “I’m sorry but we cannot process these, they need to be printed on two sheets of paper.” Ok, fine, so we rush back to Urgent Care and get them printed on two papers. Rush them back, it was about 4:35 and drop them off.The second time we dropped them off I had to go back over all his information and informed them of his insurance. She was so rude and quickly to respond “that insurance doesn’t cover any prescriptions.” This was a total shock to me as it has always covered prescriptions and we pay a very small amount to get them. I tried to explain this to her and she kept saying nope. Didn’t even put him into the system to check or let me know how much they would be.Absolutely horrible service I took the prescriptions and left.Will never go back

Their Meat and Deli counters are fantastic, never too long of a wait and they always have plenty of help at the front end and even offer self checkout. They also have a good selection of beer and wine at this location

I don't know what it is about this place but I prefer to shop here I love the layout I love how it's so clean and everything is easy to find, the produce and the meat is always the freshest in comparison to other stores. The staff is always friendly and helpful, I love how bright and sunny it feels in the store unlike other stores where it feels like you're in and Industrial environment.

Very clean store. Easy to find products.. the employees could be a little more friendlier, and useful. I was looking for something and asked someone. She told me she was on her break and couldn't help me. So I asked someone else, and they weren't much help either
