We reserved a room at His & Hers Farm for my aunt's celebration of life weekend. Wendy & Dean were gracious hosts in all ways! We enjoyed our conversations with them, loved on their two pups Jamison & Malibu, & felt refreshed & invigorated by the beautiful accommodations & environment. The rooms were immaculate. The grounds are lovely & a perfect venue for weddings & reunions. Breakfast was cooked to order using their own eggs & syrup. We could not have found a more relaxed setting for our special weekend, & will absolutely return if they have a room for us!

I had the pleasure of staying at His and Hers for three weeks. Wendy and Dean are really great people (salt of the earth)! . They take pride in what they do and try very hard to accommodate their guests. The breakfasts were fresh and tasted great! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The barn and grounds are beautiful, I could see how it would be perfect for a wedding or other events you may want to have. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area stop lookin this is it! Hard to say what an amazing stay my brother and I had! The property is just so beautiful and relaxing. Lovely to sit in the garden and the firepit at night. The Gowens are both amazing hosts - wonderful breakfasts, snacks, waters, and such. My father was born right up the road where we have a property - so we will be back as often as we can get to NH. Thanks for sharing your beautiful farm with us and being such wonderful hosts. Stay safe and well.Rooms: Lovely rooms with everything you could want. Also has AC for hot summer nights.Nearby activities: Vermont Country Store. Quechee Gorge and Woodstock under an hour. Lake Sunapee nearby. Antiques in Bellows Falls.Food & drinks: Walpole is just a short drive and has several restaurants. The South Acworth Village Store has sandwiches, drinks, and great ice cream selection- and the Alstead store has lots of things to choose from as well. Joy Wah in Bellows Falls is our fav Chinese restaurant and Dari-Joy for ice cream.

We had the best time at His & Hers farm!! My boyfriend and I took a trip for my 30th birthday and it was the perfect way to celebrate! Wendy and Dean were incredible hosts, so friendly and lovely to talk to and we appreciated how much they made us feel at home! They had great recommendations for things to do nearby, and even let us say hi to their family's cows next door! Dean also showed us around the barn that they use for event space which was really cool to get a private tour and see all his plans for refurbishing the old dairy barn! This was everything I wanted for my birthday--charming, quaint, beautiful, and homey! The decor in each room works so well and feels like a personalized hotel with country charm! I will definitely be back soon!!Rooms: So clean, adorable, with a fresh new feeling that still felt homey! Loved all of the decor and toiletries (including the rose petal bath bomb) and the little maple treats to welcome us!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at His & Hers Farm! Wendy and Dean (and Malibu and Jameson!) were so warm and welcoming. Their hospitality is unmatched, so much that we ended up staying an extra night and would have extended our stay even longer if we could. His & Hers will definitely be a regular getaway spot for us and we can't wait to go back!

Loved staying here. Every part of the house was so well thought out. As an artist, I completely loved the thoughtful design of every space. Everywhere you looked and ventured within & outside the Inn was inviting, cozy, beautiful, and peaceful. What is the icing on the cake is that they owners treat everyone with the same kindness and attention. Wonderful place to stay, to be well taken care of, & welcomed.

My Partner and I traveled to His & Hers Farm for my brothers wedding and also had the pleasure of staying at the property. Our room was big and the bed was really comfortable. All of the bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom and there are multiple balconies to sit and enjoy the countryside. Wendy and Dean were tremendous hosts, and made sure we had everything we needed. would definitely recommend staying here.We had the wedding in the beautifully restored barn. It was a delight and a perfect place to throw a country wedding.

You could not ask for a more idyllic setting for a gathering or wedding than His and Her Farms. The garden was stunning, the grounds were well manicured and beautiful, the field was mowed for camping. The barn was left with all of its country charms but beautifully kept for dancing, a little bar with nooks for enjoying your favorite beverage, and plenty of space to stand or sit around talking to your guests. Dean and Wendy were the perfect hosts, charming and accommodating. The Air B&B was set up to be charming and private with access to outdoor porches. Thank you Dean and Wendy. I felt so well taken care of and it was a stunning setting for our daughter's wedding party.

Fantastic couple with wonderful , generous hospitality! The place is absolutely beautiful and totally relaxing ! The rooms are perfectly appointed and all needs are met with ease and caring. I cannot wait to return to my New Friends place of peace and rest ! Thank you Wendy and Dean for your generosity, kindness, and sharing of your life . I feel blessed that I had an opportunity to spend time with you both in your truly magnificent home. Thank you 🙏❤️Rooms: The rooms were absolutely beautiful and decorated to make one feel very welcome and cared for! Every detail was obviously well thought out and invited the guest to enjoy being in their space as well as the rest of the Inn! Perfectly perfect place to rest and be at peace ❤️Food & drinks: Breakfast daily was wonderful with choices that anyone would appreciate. Wendy offered breakfast as if we were family and even gave the option of “to go’ breakfast sandwiches ! She is awesome ! In addition to those special additions , there were cookies and muffins made fresh daily and even some gluten free offerings . It was such fun to walk in late at night to see what was left under the glass for midnight snacks ! Loved and so appreciated the ways they made us feel special each day !I Highly recommend this beautiful place!Noteworthy details: The entire Inn , inside and out made me feel at home and welcome as if by family ! I felt relaxed and able to use any room or outdoor place as if it were my own family and/ or close friends home. No detail was left out ! There were little venues that had a feel to just be and feel cared for. My friends and I enjoyed the sitting rooms, outdoor balconies, and the kitchen daily! We all loved these folks and their dogs within the first hour ! Truly one of the finest Inns I’ve ever experienced.

His and Hers Farm was the perfect spot for a recent get-away with a couple of girlfriends I’ve known since college but hadn’t seen in person in many years. Coming from Boston, Chicago and New Jersey, the three of us decided to meet in rural New Hampshire to relax & rejuvenate in a remote, pastoral setting without having to give up any of the comforts of a well-appointed hotel! Our hosts Dean & Wendy were welcoming, charming and generous with their knowledge of the area and its history – as both of them have deep, generational connections to New Hampshire. The spotless guest house was beautifully decorated with historic family heirlooms, local artisan touches as well as all the modern conveniences. A generous bedroom and spacious en suite bathroom comprised each of the three sumptuous suites we booked through their sleek website. Equally as enjoyable were the outdoor spaces... the gorgeous terraced garden with an explosion of colorful and textured plantings, magnificent granite stone accents (lovingly selected, moved and placed by Dean from their own family’s quarry!), multiple decks and balconies off several levels of the guest house, the cute “Hers” chicken coop, and the original rustic, red “His and Hers” barn which is offered as a unique and inspired event space. We enjoyed our quality time together which was made even more restorative because of this fantastic destination. I will definitely be back someday to see the leaves change colors, hike & explore the shores of the Cold River, try Wendy’s homemade scones (I was too full after eating four of her homemade pancakes & the best maple syrup I’ve ever tasted... which was from Dean’s parents’ farm just down the road!), give more pets to their two gorgeous Labs (Malibu & Jameson), and find out if their cat REALLY can play the piano!?! Needless to say, this is a VERY SPECIAL place. In just a little over an hour, after a gorgeous drive on country roads leading to the highways, I was at the Manchester airport ready to board my non-stop flight home to Chicago after being blissfully transported via this relaxing, verdant countryside oasis.

This place was everything and more! I am SO happy we booked our weekend stay here as my expectations were blown out of the water. The owner’s, Dean and Wendy, were very welcoming and told us all about the history of the house. We loved chatting with them each morning while sipping our coffee and eating delicious breakfast. We had the whole third floor to ourselves which was perfect for our family of four. It was so comfortable and homey. We also LOVED the rural location. We were able to hike each day which was beautiful and the kids loved seeing the farm next door.I would 100% recommend this to anyone and will definitely be staying here again myself! :)

Don’t hesitate for a second to book a stay at The Gowen’s Guest House at His &Hers farm! Located on a gorgeous farm; my friends and I had a fabulous weekend. The guest rooms are spacious, comfortable and impeccably clean. Breakfast was amazing and huge. There are so many sitting areas, games to play, trails for walking and outdoor areas to relax in. This house truly offered everything we hoped for. The owners are the nicest people! So friendly and helpful and truly thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. The location is perfect-you feel like you’re in the quiet of the countryside, yet are close enough to cute little towns, restaurants and the King Arthur Cooking School. We can’t wait to go back!

His & Hers Farm is a delightful place to stay. Wendy and Dean make you feel welcomed and comfortable the minute you enter their beautiful home. The grounds with multiple areas to relax and unwind made me want to stay longer then I had planned. I wish I had an event to schedule so I could use the Rustic Red Barn. I will be back - multiple times.

His & Hers Farm was a lovely location. My brother had his wedding there and it cannot have been a more beautiful location to celebrate such a happy day. The dinner tent was such a lovely location, and the barn bar and dance floor had such a cool ambience! Ended up having the most amazing time, would definitely suggest having a wedding here. We also camped on the property, which was so much fun and made access to the wedding easier.

I had my wedding here this summer and the venue could not have been more perfect and accommodating. As soon as I pulled into the property all my anxiety about the wedding melted away. The venue was so perfect that I knew regardless of how the other pieces came together we were going to be married and celebrating in a gorgeous place. The garden and authentic rustic farmhouse were incredible. The B&B was spacious, modern, and had rooms for all the immediate family. The field across the way was perfect for all of our camping relatives. The host are incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. We did all our dancing in the barn and set up our food on the cement platform which worked great. All our family and friends were blown away by the set up.I could not have pictured a more perfect place to have gotten married.

Absolutely wonderful vacation spent at His & Hers. From the beautiful, soft-as-a-cloud linens to the many different comfortable locations to sit and read a book, to the sumptuous breakfasts expertly prepared by Wendy, there are just so many aspects of this lovely B&B to love. Great suggestions for fun activities and day trips, and the best 2 dogs on the face of the earth. Everything was perfect. Don't miss this gem of a location in New Hampshire!

We traveled to New Hampshire in August 2022 for a wedding that was hosted at His & Hers farm and had the best time. Wendy and Dean's lovely farmhouse was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and celebrate with friends and family. They have two lovely pups and are incredibly warm and gracious hosts! If you're on the fence about booking their home for a getaway or an event, let me tell you that you will not regret your visit. The Gowens are beloved by my boyfriend’s family and it is no mystery as to why! They’re super nice and made me feel right at home, even though we had just met. They have a keen eye for country chic decor and have poured SO much love into this property. There are lots of personal touches around the common areas (many nods to Frank Lloyd Wright) and in each room. To say the garden design was stunning would be an understatement, and you’ll be sure to enjoy the numerous seating areas and the awesome fire pit.Our guest room was also very cozy and had its own TV and bathroom. We had everything we needed - including travel sized toiletries, a personal AC unit, and a hair dryer. Even though we were sharing the house with many other folks, we had plenty of privacy and slept soundly without much noise. The barn is gorgeous and was also absolutely perfect for the wedding. We had A BLAST. One of my favorite aspects is the custom bar that looks like it’s out of a Hollywood Fancy Western movie set. I also really loved the proximity to the creek across the street and the burning hope of seeing a moose (even though we didn't. next time!)The farm is just a quick jaunt from other towns in New Hampshire and Vermont. I took a day trip to explore and had no trouble finding antique stores, places to eat, and quirky little shops. Dean even took the time to recommend one of his favorite antique stores to me, and I'm certain that helped to set me up for success on my journey! The trees and babbling creeks I saw on my day out were breathtaking. This part of the country really blew me away.Even though I only visited for a few days, I could feel the love from their family and in the history of the place. I also really appreciate the quick note regarding their commitment to inclusivity on their website! That type of thoughtful touch is incredibly important to me and is just one example out of many of how His & Hers Farm cares for their guests. Thanks to Wendy and Dean for hosting us and for the lovely holiday away! I hope we get to come back and visit soon. I HAVE to see the cat play the piano!

i could type for days about how wonderful this venue and guest house is. His & Hers is the best around and there is truly nothing like it!! Wendy and Dean have perfected the charm of the of the guest house. Not only does it feel cozy and comfortable, but it feels like home. You will never want to leave! They are also launching the Big Red Barn as a historic wedding venue, and as a wedding planner, I know this property will be incredibly special for future H&H couples.

Our extended family recently attended a large wedding at His and Her Farm – what a day, what a venue. The vows were under the arbor in the garden, the meal was under a tent on the hill, and the dancing was in the beautifully restored barn. People flowed throughout these beautiful spaces on a warm summer evening. Wendy and Dean – our hosts – have a long connection to this lovely corner of NH and were able to point us in all the right directions. A night to remember for sure.

Thank you Wendy and Dean on creating a space that invites all of the senses to relax, enjoy and just be happy! Your generous spirit, your attention to detail and of course Malibu and Jameson add to the feeling of home. Yes home is where the heart is, but it is also at the Gowen Guest House. Thanks for an amazing weekend!!A year later we celebrated my son’s wedding at this gorgeous venue. A short tour will let you know how ideal his and hers farm is.. the beautiful landscaping, the inviting barn, the fire pit and of course the Inn. This place offers you so many options for your get together! A conversation with wendy and Dean brings joy and comfort. They are very helpful hosts who will work closely with you to create the celebration you envision. If you are considering this venue , don’t hesitate

My wife and I stayed overnight at His & Hers Farm in August and just loved the place! If you are looking for an authentic, unique, B&B/farm experience in a beautiful area of the northeast, you can't do better than this. We happen to know the owners, Dean and Wendy, and how creating a special place like this would be right up their alley...but we were nevertheless blown away by how well they have brought it all together in such a short period of time! The well-appointed main house and barn has so many interesting architectural details and such a colorful history...you will love hearing all about it from them. (And how great to have Walpole just a few miles away, which is blossoming into quite an interesting little New England town.) Check out His & Hers Farm and you will be glad you did.
