My husband and I were vacationing near here, and I found this place online. I was so excited to go. Hoping to find cool, unique, and local items/food. We did find a little section with some local sourced meat & ice cream. We got some of that to try. I left feeling disappointed. I had high hopes. The ice cream and sausage we got were delicious, though.

Small town quaintness at its best. And the food is local, sometimes organic, and very good. I eat here for breakfast quite a bit or Saturday pizza nights as often as i can, some with live music. A great place to "Buy Local", plus there is a gift shop as well. Community owned and operated! Has events throughout the year, like Harvest Dinner, Pig Roast, Summer Fling. Held in the accompaning barn.Prepared foods have always been good 👍

A very quaint, general store that looks like it was built in the 1800s that has groceries, gifts, snacks, and ice cream they also serve breakfast and lunch. They also host a small music festival in July which is very fun!

We had a fabulous experience this morning. We went back tonight to get "pizza" and were really disappointed. It was like an appetizer on flat bread with very few toppings. We had to make dinner. That said, the staff is so friendly and the store is wonderful!!! We just won't be getting pizza there again. But, definitely coffee and breakfast sandwiches and Walpole ice cream!

Saw the sign on Rt 10 and ventured here. A bit of nostalgia but I would love to see it promote more of the local craftsman. Was shocked with the two ice cream sandwiches and dozen eggs price tag ($8) but otherwise it was quaint.

My son and I were just passing through and decided to stop for a drink these were some of the friendliest people I have ever met! By son is 2 and when he started to whine nobody cared at all that was a nice feeling to not be judged because of my whining 2 year old, the woman behind the counter just started talking to him about how awesome his red hair was. We need more people like her!

The scones were good, the coffee was great, and Deborah the clerk was friendly and helpful. When the coffee I chose ran out she made me a new pot. You can't get better service than that!

The archetypal village store. Food staples and more with morals and class. The deli whips up very edible hot and cold eats, there is an impressive artisan beer and cider selection, the coffee is always good, & their summer events gather Acworth's wonderful community around the pizza oven.

The Ancient Greeks would have proclaimed this village store as nothing less than Civilization's Omphalos. For, therein can one find cookies, bread, ice cream, mouthwash, motor oil, a Post Office, knick-knacks of untold beauty, including locally woodworked toys and, yes, even milk, eggs (often local), AND a fine little grill that serves Sunday breakfast (pancakes riddled with local fruit awash in local maple syrup). And then there's carryout beer, wine, Coke, and OJ. You name it, it's got it. Even a bathroom! And indoors, too! Not to mention the most skilled of country raconteurs (Kevin, who doubles as Post Office-grill-meister; and Victor! -- the exclamation mark says it all -- the most renown actor to be found a mere five miles due east of the Connecticut River!). All this and the odd music fest and a rocking chair, too, and a veranda that has been rocked by some of the most famous South Acworth poets of our generation. So, rock on, oh blip of fate, rock on beyond your 150th year serving our community of 296 folks from young, old, to real old (you can also visit our little sister town of Acworth just up the hill :-)

Tiny store has milk, bread, beer and a few basics. Too small to have competitive prices, but local and can save a longer drive.
