I booked a Sunset Dinner Cruise on September 9, 2023. My friend fell ill on September 8, 2023 and we were unable to go. His illness was not life and death. He had severe gastritis and the 4 hour drive would've been uncomfortable. I called and cancelled the reservation and the lady I spoke to offered a rain check for a later date. We are planning another trip and I was looking through my emails to rebook the dinner cruise. I found the cancellation email and called the 800 number. I spoke with a gentleman and explained that i was ready to rebook my dinner cruise where I paid $280. After placing me on hold multiple time for 35 minutes, he informs me that there is no proof that I was told that I can rebook my dinner cruise and they refuse to honor their word because he said that there is no record that the lady told me what she said. I offered to prove that I had to cancel my hotel reservation and they only charged me a cancellation fee and did not keep all my money. DO NOT USE ZEPHYR!!! If they don't keep record of their conversation with their clients or provide false information, it's your word against theirs.I had to check some boxes below that do not apply to me.

Beautifully rustic historic building on the waterfront of Lake Tahoe. Stopped here for brunch, and I had the veggie omelet, which was amazing. They didn't scimp on the veggies, and the house fries were tasty. Lots of menu options, including appetizers, breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees. Bonus is, they serve breakfast until noon. Also, loved the history of the building.

The location is gorgeous, as always! We came here 9 times in the last 13 years. I was very sad to notice that the cabins have gone downhill… the mattresses are very old, uncomfortable, hard as a rock or way too soft with no support. We were in a two bedroom cabin 11, lakefront. The bed sheets were worn out, very poor quality, and even stained. Also, they were not the right size. For instance, two twins we had in one of the bedrooms had large queen size sheets on, so it was very hard to sleep like that, as the sheets and blankets would get all over on two single mattresses in a very small bedroom. The blankets were huge, and did not fit such small beds.The electrical outlets need to be replaced ASAP, as they are so soft, almost nothing can stay plugged in without falling out, and it is also a safety issue, I believe.In addition, we could not find one decent pot or frying pan and had to separately request it. What is the point of renting a cabin with a full kitchen, if there are no cooking tools?! The teflon pans heavily scratched are not safe to use. I would suggest stainless steel or aluminum, along with some silicon utensils, so that the guests do not ruin them. The knives were so dull, it was not possible to cut anything. Also, a few additional bowls and plates could be added.The staff is excellent, but whomever is in charge of the items mentioned above, please take a notice. In the past, the cabins were always very clean when it came, the.bedding, comfortable, and the kitchen with a plenty of kitchen tools. Please make them like that again!Rooms: The bedding needs to be replaced.

The weather was brisk, but dry, when my wife and I arrived early to embark on a lake cruise on the Dixie. We walked over to the rustic Zephyr Cove restaurant for hot coffee and ambiance. It was a beautiful day and the cruise was a great experience for us and will be a lasting memory.We had lunch and walked on the decks outside while historic information came over the sound system.

We have stayed here 4 times, 3 times in cabins and once in RV... and every time we have enjoyed this resort. The cabins are clean and cozy.Location is the best!! Beautiful views of lakes and an awesome beach is always so inviting.This time though, we felt service hasn't been up to the mark. Our cabin's fireplace was not working. Even after letting reception know about it multiple times, no one cared enough to check and see the issue. Other than this, no issues... We will definitely stay here again hoping for a better service next time :)

Didn't stay in the "resort", just visited the "country store" and was a little disappointed. It's like a little hotel gift shop, not country store. The lady working was the absolute sweetest!

I stayed in a cabin that was walking distance to the beach, which was wonderful. The girls who checked me in were super nice and knowledgeable. The shower in my cabin was dirty and there were small holes in the wall. The bed linens were dirty. The kitchen was small but functional. For what I paid I expected to at least have a clean bathroom and sheets. I probably won’t come back.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Zephyr Cove Resort for an extended weekend. I have to say I was please and surprised at the accommodations overall. The cabins where we stayed were found pretty clean for the most part. However, the window sills looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long while, as they were dirty and surrounded with dead insects. And I had a good amount of difficulty in trying to open the windows to get air flow.Additionally, since the cabins have no AC, having to open the windows to get circulation became very necessary in the 85°+ stuffy weather. And I must printout, wifi and cell reception is terrible! We didn't know that at the time we were making reservations and once we got there the staff did not seem to have a clue with any directions of where to go for good cell signal.Lastly, our bedroom cabin did not have a ceiling fan, that made nights somewhat unpleasant at night trying to get sleep or rest. That's my report for the accommodations. This only part #1. I will follow-up with part #2, with my report on my overall opinion of the resort, services and staff.. To be continued....

Ok so the beach parking was full and they told us to return at 1:30 when boat returned from tour. We did just that. They began to slowly let cars in as others left park we counted 7 cars leaving as the employee allowed 3 cars in..... when we got to the lady working the booth at 1:30pm...She rudely said... we are closed now. We asked her... how is it closed! They had just reopened!!! many cars were leaving and she only let 3 cars in.. All Nevada license plates of course.... we are from California...So if your from Cali... please do not come and spend a penny here since they obviously discriminated us for having the wrong license.....She was Crazy angry, yelling and rude... said ... sorry we are closed. I am Handicapped and there was an open Handicap parking right in front of us. I pointed the empty space to her and told her. I have my Handicapped place card hanging and you clearly have an empty space. She yelled... let me do my job!!!! We are closed....I was discriminated and violated of my handicap rights.. .. have never been so disgusted in my life!!!! Have been here many times and never have I encountered such horrible service or employee. Will never return to this place.. horrible staffI would give them negative 5 stars!

I had booked an Airstream trailer on their website, but there was no one at the front desk when we arrived. We only found my reservation letter with no instructions on how to locate the Airstream I had booked. Fortunately, we encountered a security guard who helped us find our accommodation.The story unfolds as we discovered that the Airstream we had booked hadn't been cleaned at all and was not suitable for occupancy. The kind security guard assisted us in switching to another Airstream, but it turned out that none of the unoccupied Airstreams had been cleaned either. He then helped us contact the management, and they offered us a stay in a cabin. However, all the unoccupied cabins were also uncleaned. At this point, it was almost 10:30 PM, and we had driven for 5 hours to get there. My children and I were exhausted.The security guard continued to assist us in reaching the management, and they finally decided to arrange for us to stay at another hotel, covering the cost themselves and refunding our Airstream reservation. I thought the worst was over.The next day, I called Zephyr Cove Resort to confirm the refund, but nobody answered the phone, and my emails went unanswered. To make matters worse, the hotel we ended up staying at charged us for two nights. Today is August 22, 2023, and the resort has not proactively contacted us or issued any apologies. This was an amazing experience for us, Zephyr Cove is located in a very amazing lake tahoe location, the customer service is excellent, it was our first time trying g out our mobile home and Ernie at Zephyr Cove guided us, and gave us good advice about the camper. We recommend this place 100%, it is dog friendly.Food & drinks: Great food at the Zephyr Cove lodge restaurant

A quiet beach when we went in late Oct, yet the view was beautiful, windy and slightly on the chill side. It would be fantastic If the weather was just a bit warmer. Clear water, beautiful sunset and colorful boats lying on the beach made perfect view for the visitors.

Lacking anything positive to say…The signage, the entrance, checkin is a complete mess. The Resort is on one side of Hwy 50, the Campground opposing . The line of campers on checkin was extended into the hwy. they require you to walk across the busy highway to check in then back across to the campground side. The staff, in particular Al, seems unconcerned with suggestions or offering a listening ear to negative feedback.If you like crowded sites, with heavy traffic noice, lots to trees to navigate your camper around while right on top of your neighbors, this is the place for you!

My aunt and I had the opportunity to stay here last month and had the best experience starting with the staff from check in to check out.The cleanliness and comfort of the cabin (cabin 10) and its proximity to the lake won our hearts over; so much so that we are planning a family staycation later this year. The cabin had everything that we needed- fireplace, full kitchen, dining area, comfortable beds, cozy living room and a deck with a table where we enjoyed our coffee in the morning albeit all wrapped up as it was in the 40s. But we really enjoyed the peacefulness and charm of the cabin.The best part was being able to walk on the beach towards the boulders to watch a phenomenal sunset at the end of the day. Zephyr Cove Resort is truly a wonderful place to create memories with your loved ones!

Sub par. Service was much to be desired. I think she actually had to try, to be that terrible. Didn't seem to care either. We sat with empty glasses. Our appetizer came out with our meals. We had absolutely no room for food and dirty dishes sat on our table. Would not recommend. Would not stop again. Over priced for dive bar fried food. 2 stars because we were starving so nourishment gets an extra star. Skip it. Go to Rosie's.Walkability: On the beach

If you want a quick getaway this is definitely a gem. Relaxed atmosphere and lovely people in the community. Beautiful views and things to do!!! Great for the family, friends, or couples.Rooms: Rooms are spacious and filled with everything you have at homeNearby activities: Snowmobiling, snow tubing, boat tours, bus tours and more.Safety: You feel safe!!Walkability: You can enjoy a walk during any season!!Food & drinks: The property has its own restaurant. If you can't make up your mind try the Zephyr Special it will make your stomach smile!!Noteworthy details: Beautiful views, friendly staff, quiet and safe community. This resort can accommodate anyone who wants to relax and enjoy fresh air with great food!!

We’ve been here to the beach several times. In every case the restrooms were broken and the toilets overflowing. Once we had to drive a mile to find a restroom. The resort wouldn’t respond to my face to face complaint. I called and they hung up on me.Today, same story. The porta potties are at least clean, for now.The beach is nice.

I reserved a night but I Didn’t get to stay here because it was full once I got there but the staff was very kind and refunded my money right away and I purchased some clothes from their gift shop. I checked out their RV lot / camping sites and it’s one of the best / cleanest options in Lake Tahoe. Just get your spot a month in advance if you want to stay there.

I gave them a 4 only because the receptionist was not knowledgeable about the operating procedures. She was nice and friendly but caused some confusion. Because of the reviews we read we started not to register for this excursion. We decided to take a chance and we were very glad that we did. Aside for the receptionist everyone was very knowledgeable. Everyone was very friendly and professional and our snowmobiling activity was excellent. We will return the next time we visit Lake Tahoe. Our guide Daniel did a great job going over the operating procedures for the snowmobiles, guiding us through the trails and identifying highlights and facts related to the trails.

We love it here! It can get a little busy and chaotic, but incredibly beautiful and worth every bit of crazy. Get there early to get a parking spot and stake out a good spot on the beach, seriously, it gets soooo busy after about 10a. We loved the bar and the grill.. great food, great drinks, and super fun and convenient to have right there at the beach.

The Family and I took the dixie ll for a dinner cruise. it was the best night. the best night views, you get day, sunset and night, soooo beautiful the cruise. I speak highly of it. the food was great as well as the service. didnt matter if ur tickets were one and two seated, everyone got in and had great views. after eating you can go to second and third deck. The views are breathtaking. i will add some photos soon.

We called and they said we could dock of our boat from here. No you can’t once we arrive. The. We had to drive 12 minutes to cave rock to dock of our boat, and didn’t get made aware that we needed a inspection and special sticker to go in the water. So we waited 1 hour and a half to not be allowed in the water. We had to leave to get the inspection and get back in line.We couldn’t check in early even to let the park let them know we are here.It has been an nightmare to say the least don’t waste your time here
