I went with a couple of my friends to Toast after learning about the change of ownership and not knowing what to expect. We all had some very delicious appetizers - Spicy Masala Fries, Onion Rings, Indian Samosas with Mint Chutney. They all were very delicious, piping hot and all made fresh. The Salmon Curry was so authentic and original and tasted so good with the butter naan. All the food came out quickly after the appetizers and the service was just superb! Recommend them highly and we're certainly coming back for more!

The veggie-topped pizza had a delightful mix of colorful vegetables that added both flavor and visual appeal. The crust was thick and satisfyingly crisp, while the combination of cheeses melted over the veggies created a rich and indulgent taste. The presentation was well-executed, with the toppings evenly distributed and the pizza cut into neat slices. Overall, a delicious and visually appealing dish that's perfect for pizza lovers

Based on some of the previous reviews, I was hesitant, but Toast turned out to be an excellent choice for a nice quit dinner out, while still maintaining its cool sports bar vibe. They have a variety of food, different cuisine and drinks on the menu - there's something for everyone to choose from, including vegan choices. Our Calamari rings were crisp and delicious, the Chicken and Bean Enchiladas were cheesy and yummy. The service was excellent and our waiter was fantastic and attentive, though the food took a while to come out, we had been warned in advance, with consistent checks on our table, and we liked the attention! My overall experience was excellent - a delicious complimentary treat provided on the house by the host upon hearing about my Wife's birthday made the experience overwhelmingly awesome! Will recommend to anyone!Vegetarian options: Bhindi Do Payaza, Dal choices, Baingan, Aloo Gobi and lot of other choices

Our party of 9 found this hidden gem via Google and we can state this as one of the Best Restaurants to have food in South Lake Tahoe on the California Nevada border.The Indian dish preparations were mind blowing, full of flavors, some even better than I tasted back in India. We ordered a couple of appetizers that came out piping hot, and were flavorful. For the main course we had Paneer Butter Masala, Shrimp Coconut Curry & Naan, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I definitely recommend this joint!

Toast has a charming atmosphere (especially the outdoor patio), friendly service and excellent food.It has a fantastic between Roundhill Beach and Zephyr Cove Beach (also near Nevada Beach). It is an excellent choice for busy Holiday or Summer weekends as you can still get a table and they even have FREE parking!Toast Tahoe is under new ownership but my favorites remain (the excellent Toast burger and salads!). They have now ADDED authentic and flavorful Indian food. I love the Butter Chicken. You also must try the Naan (either plain, butter or garlic). They have a good beer and wine list too.Bonus: the outdoor patio is even dog friendly!Toast is a go-to destination for me in Tahoe. I highly recommend it. We love Toast. We always have a good experience.Parking: Parking lot up front and secondary lot up the hill in back of the restaurant with steps down to the restaurant.

Everything was great. I had chicken cordon bleu and hubby had lobster ravioli with white sauce. I had a tahoetini and he had the white mountain. I can't wait to go back and try more! The only down side is the lack of central heating. We had an electric radiator next to the table but I am frozen still 30 minutes later. That is the only issue i had but it wasn't a deal breaker. Highly recommend this place!

I've been going to Toast - Indian & Asian Fusion for the past 8 months, since I moved to Tahoe and I can honestly say this place is wonderful! Everyone that works there are some of the kindest people you'll ever meet and the food is incredible, every time. This place should be packed and will be once everyone tries it. You'll keep coming back like I have, firstly to talk to the wonderful people there and secondly to enjoy wonderful food and drink. Do yourselves a favor and go as soon as you can and as often as you can and you'll feel and taste what I do. Thank you Toast for being my favorite place to hang out in Tahoe! TRUST THE REVIEWS:ITS A SCAM!!First of all they dont care for the customers. They blantantly lie about the wait-time. After waiting for a while they end up coming with incorrect order. Also the portion size is laughably small for the money that you. Please make sure to double check the bill as they will charge you 2X of the price for the sides like Rice or Bread. Avoid this place at any cost! If you are vegetarian or vegan please be careful as one of the veg dishes had chunks of Chicken in it! Hopefully some local administration looks into the working of this place!

Arvin and his staff are amazingly kind and hospitable. The food was absolutely delicious. I am gluten free and he even went out of his way to ensure and even let me try new things. I highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Very conscious of dietary restrictions.

(MOST OF THESE REVIEWS ARE FAKED BY THE OWNER!!) Had family order food to go for me while they dined in and their experience was terrible but mine wasn’t much better. $20 for butter “chicken” with literally 4-5 SMALL pieces of chicken, all sauce and rice. These scammers need to be put out of business. Picture included shows just how many pieces of chicken I got.

This was the worst Indian food I have ever tasted, along with horrible vibe. Coming to the prices they are as atrocious as the cleanliness. The kitchen looks like a damp cave, where rats have hold. To top it off, when asked for spicy food I was given chilli powder directly. If you are looking for Indian cuisine this is not the place. If you are looking to see vermin while you eat on bland dishes then it is the place . Horrible

My first review ever, i hope I never get to write such reviews in future.Avoid this restaurant like the plague if you value good food and decent service. Our recent experience was nothing short of a culinary nightmare.First, the wait times were atrocious. Despite promises of food arriving within 15-20 minutes, we sat for over 45 minutes with empty stomachs and growing frustration. When the food finally did arrive, it was a colossal disappointment.The thali was a joke. I've never seen such meager portions in an Indian restaurant. The dal was an inedible disaster, swimming in a sea of salt. My wife's butter chicken offered an even grosser surprise:we found a paper piece in the curry.To add insult to injury, our polite complaint about the paper in the food was met with utter indifference from the owner. Not an apology, not a replacement dish, just a shrug and a dismissive attitude. This sealed the deal for us is: they clearly not interested in customer satisfaction.Finally, to top it all off, the owner gave us a disapproving look when we opted not to tip for this disastrous experience. The audacity!Do yourself a favor and skip this resturant. There are countless other Indian restaurants in town that offer delicious food, attentive service, and owners who actually care about their customers. This one is a resounding miss on all fronts.Rating: 0 out of 5 stars (if I could give negative stars, I would).

AVOID it at all costs!It surprises me how this is rated above 4. Not only we waited more than 75 minutes, the food wasn’t up to mark and is priced exorbitantly for the portion sizes offered. Beware that there’s going to be a gratuity on top which we were made aware only at the time of billing. Gratuity is typical in some restaurants for size of 6 or more, here we’re just 3. We didn’t want to make a fuss about it as it isn’t going to make it any better for us.

Had a wonderful, delicious meal that came out quickly with complimentary red wine for me on Mother’s Day, which was a nice touch. The person who served us was so kind, attentive, and patient with our little one. Our baby loved the dahl tadka with rice!

i came from sacramento with my friends we ordered food n waiting time was 40 min but they made us wait for 2 hours n 19 mintues after getting food from them we went to our room n when we checked the food it was not according to the order two itews were missing when we called them again for that n owner misbehaved with us n told us thats all what u ordered. Such a bad service i recommend all the tourist who come here not to visit this place. Never had a this type of experience in my life disgusting. The guy on cashier table is rude n dnt know how to talk with custmore if you are looking for custmore service and good food believe me this place is not for you, we got upset stomach and one of my friend got food poisioning. Ordered pickup here on DoorDash. We got the coconut shrimp, chicken curry, saag paneer and cauliflower Manchurian. The cauliflower was the only decent dish. The chicken curry and saag were too watery, almost like soup. The paneer was replaced with tofu. The raita had no salt or pepper, quite tasteless. The shrimp tasted stale. Overall, quite disappointed by the food here.
