Friendly and knowledgeable staff, huge super market with a large variety of products, from foods, drinks, healthy items to junk foods. Deli, frozen, dry foods, fruits, vegetables and so much more. Restrooms, large parking lot and disabled section for parking and electronic door. This store even has a Starbucks for your coffee enjoyment and swimming floats. Excellent

Of course this is a place to go to in the Lake Tahoe area to get your groceries! We are staying at a timeshare and had to get all the things we needed for the week. Safeway had it all!

Perfect supermarket to get your groceries when you are about to hit the slopes. Open 24 hours a day, so you can always get your bacon & eggs here to start the day, grab some fruit for the necessary vitamins and have plenty of bottles of water to stay hydrated.Plenty of parking.

Seems like your standard grocery store, had all the basics we needed for our visit. Big parking lot, stocked store, and check out lines weren't crazy long. Would shop here again.

Disgusting Deli Sandwich. When I reached out to the Corporate Offices for a refund they refused. This is one of the worst Safeway Stores I've ever shopped in. Customer Service is horrible. You replied to my review 2 months ago stating that I would hear from the Store Director soon. It's been 2 months. I have heard nothing from you.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Instead of assisting me with my issue, the store manager seemed to make every effort to avoid responsibility, using baseless arguments. The complete failure to take responsibility for the quality of products this chain sells is appalling. I will never shop here again, and I'd advise you to reconsider as well.

Convenient hours, ample parking. Store is clean with a large variety of items. Boars Head served in the deli. Only complaint was that they close at 10pm, we arrived at 9pm specifically for the deli meats and cheeses, and they had shut it down already.

Not open 24 hours, open 23.5 hours. The registers close every day at 1AM and don’t reopen until 1:15-1:30. For real. Not joking, you can’t buy anything starting at 1AM for an undetermined period of time, probably less than a half hour. Who does that? Nuts.

Great supermarket with 24/7 availability.We arrived late and most of the restaurants were already closed, at Safewave we found plenty of ready-to-eat dishes, which are very tasty.

It's hard to critique Safeway. They get so much right, and the south Lake Tahoe location is consistent with their slightly above average rating. I was able to find everything i needed. Staff were great, especially in the deli.

Got overcharged on a couple of items! Seems the advertised prices in their weekly flyer are not in their computer system and even after I mentioned it to the cashier (Tamara) I still wasn't charged the advertised price! Otherwise a nice, clean, well stocked store.

Your standard Safeway. Clean, well-organized, pleasant workers. Prices are a little higher than your every day supermarket, but the produce isn't over-ripened, and the store isn't in shambles. Parking is easy and the store is open 24/7. Can't beat that.

Great place to go especially for a bathroom break. I come this way every once in a while. Despite the prices of everything in the area this is one place often ignored. If you love the views consider becoming a local the area needs more growth. There is already enough tourism here.

Since Safeway isn't in Carson City anymore.(I sure do miss it) lt is still inSouth Lake Tahoe. It's always clean and friendly. They have Starbucks inside,And a great deli.

The employees here were friendly and the store was well kept and clean. The selection is good and they have fresh product. This store carries a variety of product. My only concern was that the allergy medicine wasn’t kept with the headache medicine and was hard to find. Other than that, the store met my needs.

I visited the store in March of 2021 for a few items while vacationing. The store itself was fully stocked with plenty of items, neatly arranged and clean in every isle. I wish we had stores like this in the central valley.The only con sadly...is the vibe received from the cashier (Receipt noted cashier as:Cindy). She stared at me and my husband when we arrived at the register, and failed to provide quality customer service by leaving us to bag our items.

The store is clean and well organized. I lived in Maui and the Safeway over there is bigger and obviously has more products. Safeway has good deals, the best ones are on Fridays. It is not cheapest store but if you want good quality brands you can find them here. Bathrooms also are clean. They have a Starbucks so you can get a coffee while you shop. Love that they sell flowers and plants.

We've been shopping at this Safeway for 7 years. Great pharmacy Great employees great checkers. Good deli prices are reasonable parking sometimes can be a pain. Wish they had a Safeway gas station there.

I've never dealt with any pharmacy, or for that matter any business, with such a lack of care and concern for their customers. It boggles my mind as to why they don't answer their phone or at least ask you to please hold when trying to contact them. They simply pick up the phone and immediately put you on hold without saying a word. From there, your either left of permanent hold or you're disconnected. How can this be tolerated by Safeway. This concerns the health and medical needs of the customer, it's not to find out if they have an adequate supply of Fruit Loops in stock.

I'm on travel and needed my doctor at home to call in a prescription. When I got there, it was ready, and the whole thing was painless and the tech was very nice. Also, I shopped there. It's a beautiful store but found it very pricey and there were only 2 cashier's open for a ton of people. However, the cashier and the bagger were extremely helpful and friendly. Yesterday, evening I went and there was only 1 cashier open and a line going down the aisle 😱

I never loved going to the grocery store until this safeway. It’s open 24 hrs, always have a ton of sales going on, and everyone is so personable.
