I purchased these two 3” pvc caps for a small project around the house but ended up choosing a different style and never used these. I took the caps which were nearly $16.00 and the receipt into the store to return them but was told they would have a problem and immediately called the owner to the checkstand. The owner looked at the receipt and said sorry but this is past our return policy by a couple of months and we can't take them back. I asked why there was such a short return window for basic stock items that sit on a shelf and are not perishable. The owner explained that those caps represent two years worth of that particular stock and somehow he would have to sit on them for years before he could move them again. We live in an agricultural and mining zone, I'm sure they go through boxes of that stuff. I was a weekly customer at this location, but no longer after a today. It seems like this owner has no problem taking my money week after week, but when I need to bring some very usable product back, he not only lied to me, but showed awful customer service by hiding behind a one-sided policy that not only doesn't make sense, but is extremely wasteful; Now I have to throw them in the trash because I don't have any other use for them. I would suggest driving to either Carson City or Wagners ace hardware in Hawthorne where you can get some real customer service and not taken advantage of.

Everyone is always helpful and kind here. We are limited to our choices of shopping in our small rural town, but this place is one of my favorites. I wish they sold groceries so I wouldn't have to go to Raleys! Thank you True Value for being 5 star worthy in our little town!

This store is excellent in customer service, and understand fully how people in a small community are to be treated as well as greeted. I have never walked in and not been greeted warmly and sincerely. The Renner's store and staff could take a lot of lessons from them in the area of customer service. All items are well organized as well as all items rotated and kept clean. All personnel are available to assist at a moments notice, and most importantly are very sincere. This is a reflection of great ethics and expectations from the owners and leadership. I truly enjoy going in there.

Great small town hardware store. We always go in when ever we stop in Yerington. They always have a great selection and real friendly staff. They also have a large garden department that I can't get out of without picking up a little plant.

Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Everything is mostly easy to find although I have needed help several times and staff is always great about helping. They allow well trained/behaved dogs on leash in the store. If the owner of the dog is ok with it, the dogs get a treat before leaving the store. Also I'm pretty sure that they are the only retailer in town that sells craft supplies like paints, Clay's, beads and various craft kits.

I failed my new business inspections, then left for True Value sure enough I bought 99% of my items there to pass my city inspection and fire department inspection. Thank you True Value. Everything was reasonably priced, very clean store, friendly staff.

This True Value Store is one of the best. Friendly. helpful and knowledgeable. Forgot a bag of items, called the store the next day and they had held our items for us. We visit the store weekly for just about everything we need. The staff is always helpful.
