Never been to Virginia city before, but this place came highly recommended and did not disappoint! The entire town is a treasure and Jerky Co will definitely be a place we will make sure to hit when we come back again. Suggest the tri-tip sandwich and potato salad. They have PBR tall boys. And shots. The seating is all outdoors and really gives you a good small town feeling.

Virginia City Jerky Co. is an awesome place to eat. The food portions are very generous, and they were served quickly and hot. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was the best she had ever had. They do not have fries. There is street parking but nothing specific to the restaurant. They do provide cups if you want water. The outdoor seating is nice with misters. It's definitely a place you want to visit when you are in Virginia City

Forgot to take pictures before we ate it all. The owners we wonderful and lets us try some of the jerky before we decided which flavors to buy, they are all good. We also decided to eat lunch. Really one of our favorite bbq places we have stopped in. Not overly sauced, great deep smoke ring/flavor. Bread was toasted so held up to pulled pork with slaw in it. Had their baked beans too very good and lots of chili flavor.I thought the pricing was very fair and a sandwich was big enough to easily split between two people if you each get a side. Seating was outside but was covered and there is a great view from their patio.

Wood smoked meats were off the hook and without the tourists' pricing! We had tri-tip dip and pulled pork sandwiches with a beautiful view out the window of an approaching storm. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Then we left with bags of jerky from several different types of mammals, reptiles, and birds! They do a great job here.

We ordered the Tri Tip Dip, the dip was Aujus and it was tender and just the right amount of tenderness. I added their spicy BBQ sauce to add a little heat and vinegarynes to cut thru some of the richness. For the side I decided to try their cornbread and it literally had corn in it with cheese. Slathered some butter on it and it was to die for.We also had the Pulled Pork and it was a bit dry, but I rectified that by adding some BBQ sauce on it and all was right. We had slaw on the side and it was flavorful.Customer service was excellent because we were doing a food tour and we wanted to savor the different restaurants in VC and the food preps knew that so they cut our sandwiches in half and gave extra pickle spears so everyone in my party can try it.

I’m afraid my experience there was different. The food was just oK, not what I was expecting. I ordered the BBQ sandwich and I didn’t like the pork. The meat was too hard for my taste. I had a cornbread and it was a no-no for me. I’ve had better ones even in “big chain restaurants”. The service was good, the staff very nice and helpful. The patio is nice. Good luck to you, I hope you have a better experience. I know I’m not eating there again…

Super amazing little BBQ spot up in Virginia City. Head up during the week to miss the crowds and score stellar parking on the main strip. At first seating looks slim but people rotate out pretty quickly.I had the Spicy Pulled Pork and YES, it was spicy. Not so spicy that I couldn't eat it or needed milk but it had enough of a kick to it that made it just enough to notice. Also the pepperoncini was a great little touch, went great with the cornbread. They also have some amazing BBQ sauces to try so don't forget to grab some when you stock up on napkins. My daughter got the pastrami, my lil guy had the grilled hot dog and my big guy had the Tri Tip Dip, all of which was delicious.We are so glad we got to try this little spot out, it's been on our list for a while and made our day even more memorable. Thanks to all the SUPER hard working staff, y'all are turning out some amazing BBQ!

Place is always a hit but they usually run out of bbq way to soon. The prices are a little high but can be expected for cost recovery. A large group of us were limited on choices at 12:30pm on a Saturday. Chile fritos and hot dogs were ok. Chile mac was fantastic!! Spicy polish sausage was ok. But too much bread. Jerky was way over priced and very brittle, not good at all. This place has very good potential to be a landmark but needs better planning!

Very quaint. Outdoor seating only. There are several tables with umbrellas and several uncovered picnic tables. You walk into this small entryway one person at a time, so have the rest of the family grab a table. You can choose jerky prepackaged or they can package it up for you. They do not serve fries . However, they do serve sandwiches. Pastrami, tri-tip and a few other types. All meat. Each sandwich is served with a bag of chips or choice of side. The sides are; coleslaw, mac-n-cheese, beans (pinto with bacon), chili with homemade chorizo. Potato salad and cornbread served with a wrapped pat of butter and a plastic knive. Highly recommend the corn bread. It was warm and delicious, not sweet with a slight kick that makes you want to take another bite to figure out what pleasure you've just experienced.After ordering go back outside to your table, they call your name from the side door when your order is ready. They have prepackage condiments; such as ketchup, Dijon mustard, spicy 🌶️ sauce, honey, and bbq sauce in pump containers if you so choose to enhance your sandwich experience.This is a great place to sit back relax, enjoy the view while you enjoy a great meal.

October 2017.On my 1st visit I purchased 3 bags of pre-packaged jerky, then discovered later that they were made by a different company in Carson City. All 3 were coated with a sugary glaze. Yuk.Round 2 began with the greeting of "We're sold out of everything." They still had their own jerky so I bought 3 varieties, all of which are saddle bag worthy because they were very well dried for long term storage but none of the flavors impressed me. Ho hum....My most recent trip occurred because a friend said the pulled pork sandwich is "fantastic". She weighs about 105 and eat salad for lunch, but.... I bought the BBQ pulled pork with coleslaw on it (which gave the pork some much needed moisture) and a side of beans. The canned beans tasted of chili powder and sugar but had real bacon/pork. I would not want to order anything from this combo again. I also bought a tri tip sandwich (tender, smoke flavored and tasty) with cornbread (sweet with a few corn kernels). The tri tip seemed to have an after taste so I wonder if they use something like Liquid Smoke. Total cost for both meals = $23.The staff was friendly and the tri tip was ok. Each sandwich came with a tasty pickle spear. The prices were reasonable for Virginia City and not out of line at all. If I were to visit again I would want the tri tip dip (like a French dip) and the mediocre coleslaw or just an extra pickle spear. I don't like being harsh but this place seems very over rated. The friendly staff is responsible for my 3rd star, otherwise I would only give 2.

Oh my! There was a small line and I was curious why. The aroma wafting out onto the street was incredible. Service was fun and friendly and they have made some asjustments fir covid. The ribs were fantantic. The corn bread was incredible. Stop by while you visit Virginia City and exoerince the iconic food. Loved the Frito Pie as well.

Loved this place!Purposefully went here for lunch while in the area and we were not dissapointed. The food was AMAZING and the staff were really helpful, friendly and attentive. Cannot praise thus highly enough, had the tri-tip sandwich and the pulled pork, with sides and then loaded up on jerky. Highlight of the day!

Great potato salad and corn bread . Ribs have a good smoke flavor but a little salty and greesy . Pastrami sandwich is good but would have liked it to have the cheese melted and hot . Great service and good views and atmosphere. Will be back for sure. Ty
