Very interesting place to visit. We have such a great time. The person there who helped this in the guidance through the Mackey house was very knowledgeable could have used a little bit more information. But was all good like to see if it would open up a little bit more with stuff. I would go back to see it again. Me and my wife enjoyed it very much.

This place is beautiful!!! Broken Wings Paranormal did an overnight investigation here (on YouTube), and we were not disappointed. The spirits are super friendly, just like their carer, Dawn. She is a great guide and is a beautiful person inside and out. We are grateful for the opportunity to investigate this location and get to dive into the history of Virginia City, Nevada.

Do not miss this mention!So much history, class, stories, objects to admire in this building. Fantastic tour guides and I love the fact that this mention was purchased by private party to save it and to give it a life it deserves.Imagine being in a building where Thomas Edison himself converted gas lamps into electrical one. Or how about mirror with diamonds inside of it?I so appreciated learning about John MacKay, his wife, kids, history of gaining and loosing fortunes. Wild West at its best. Highly recommend

I’m a big fan of all things spooky and couldn’t wait to tour Mackay Mansion on our visit. Our tour guide Jade, was nothing less than fantastic! She was so informative, welcoming, and took her time with our tour. I have nothing but good things to say about our visit and can’t wait to come back for Halloween!

Definitely place to visit tickets are $7.00 it is not for those who cannot handle 3 flights of narrow stairs. There is incredible history, ask questions my tour guide Meghan was AWESOME answered every question I had, there are photographs around ask questions about them as there is some interesting history on some of the relationships from back then. A famous actor spent 1 night there and was scared from his bed by a small child's ghost. I definitely recommend.

This was an amazing tour of this famous Mansion that Ghost Adventures has even done an episode on. The host of the tour was well knowledgeable & made you feel immersed in the story of the house. After a brief tour with her, you are free to roam around the mansion (with few restrictions) to see the rooms on your own. It's certain a fun thing to do, & that entire little town is full of so much history & stuff to explore. Will certainly go back for the paranormal tour, next time I'm back in Nevada.

This is place Is absolutely beautiful. There's so many historical items here in this Manson. The first in door bathroom is pretty cool! There's a toilet in it that has so much gold leaf on it that it's worth over 10k. The tour guide( im so sorry I forgot your name) really did an amazing job. She was so full of information and ypu could tell she genuinely loved what she did. The grounds are stunning. There are ghost tours that I can't wait to go on especially after seeing the photos of ghosts they saw on rhe property . It's really interesting. This is one of the last homes that do these tours and they really count on locals and tourists to help maintain this beautiful historical land mark. If you haven't been or its been awhile please go take a tour and help keep this part of history alive

Beautiful mansion, closely linked to the families Hearst, McKay and a bunch of ghosts. Yes, there are a lot of them there and as a proof, there are a lot of pictures shown at the very good and informativ guided tour. When Johnny Depp was shooting "Dead Man", he stayed there quite a time. Since then he belived in paranormal activity. You can also see his filmcostume in the bedroom. Admission is 8 Dollar, really very worth it!

A group of 5 of us went to the paranormal activi-Tea. We had such an amazing time! Katie and Halen (hope I’m spelling that right) were amazing!! We even got the shadow man on picture!! I highly suggest to anyone visiting Virginia city to make this place one of your must see places! We plan and doing a night event again and when we do want to make sure we have Katie and Halen again!!

Wonderful tour. The host was very informative and was very kind to our 3 year old. We loved all the extra info she offered about the house. Would definitely come again. This is our 3rd tour of the home. Love the deer and chickens also. And the wild horses right outside!

Dawn was our tour guide very knowledgeable. So much history. With some Wow moments. After the tour our guide let us roam on our own. Can't believe how steep the stairs were back in the day.Managed to get 3 ghostly faces/figures in mirror shot. The maid had her bonnet on dressed in black. With 2other Male apparitions.

Cool history of a old home, the house its self is in really bad shape from the outside its cluttered looking around the porch. The tour its self is fun and informative, they really hammer that the house is haunted though, it seems that this must be what really draws people to the home.

Had an awesome tour of the Mackey Mansion. Our tour guide Megan was fantastic and I was blown away by the pictures of the apparitions and the diamond dust mirror. Would definitely return!

Great house built by George Hearst, father of William Randolph Hearst in the 1860s. Dawn, our tour guide, was very informative and knowledgeable of the house and history of the area. The house is almost all original with furnishings of the Mackays in each room along with other period furnishings. For you ghost hunters, Dawn even had photos of some ghostly apparitions. You tour 3 stories of the home along with the 2.5 acres of gardens. Very nice.
