Cozy local coffee shop! Very fast service and super friendly staff! First time here and would definitely recommend the ham and cheese croissant and even the scone! I also ordered a lavender hot latte and it was delicious! 10/10!

Happened to drop by this place along the road and was in for a real treat. We ordered a latte and grabbed one of those choco chip granola bars off the countertop ~ $4.50. The coffee was really really good, the best in South Lake Tahoe, and the bar was amazing! What a delight.Service was great - even though it was almost closing time, the 2 staff on-site were trying to give handy recommendations on which snack we should pick out.The place was uncrowded, very relaxing, quite rustic. Five stars for the great experience!

As we travel around we always look for the local coffee place. It's a different feeling altogether, no matter where you come from a simple coffee place makes you feel at home. I love the hustle bustle inside the coffee place. I got their most popular lavender latte, apple strudel and iced chai latte. Indeed loved the vibe, the interiors. I wanted to spend more time here and chill but we had plans to go further to the beach. But I am carrying the lavender latte in my hand and a small piece of this experience of Clyde's coffee roasting vibe. Anyone who comes to this side please don't miss it because once you're here, your heart will be filled with love. I loved the service, the staff is extremely helpful and polite. The lady who took our order was extremely patient and did not rush us. She helped us to choose our drinks. The gentleman who brewed our coffee had a big smile which left a great impact overall on this place. Must visit.

They don’t have ceramic cups if you’re planning on reducing waste and drinking your drink in the store. The decor is nice. The staff are friendly. They did allow me to use my own travel mug. I got a cappuccino and the first sips were all milk foam, then the foam was untouchable. The ham and cheese croissant was soft and chewy. They microwave the pastries. They don’t have a toaster that would make them flakey and crisp.Somehow I was just not that satisfied by my cappuccino or the croissant. And it was $15 for a coffee and a croissant?!?

Came to visit South Lake Tahoe for the first time and stopped here every morning. Coffee was Del ious and croissants were some of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re in the area it’s a must. Really friendly people and cute little cabin feel to it. Would almost come back to California just to come here again. Make the extra trip and come visit there you’ll be happy that you did.Parking: Easy parking should have plenty of space but does get really busy in the am.

We’re visiting from Texas and heard great things about Clydes coffee, so we had to try it. This is hands down the best coffee we have ever had!! We ordered a cappuccino, a hot chocolate and their Uganda light roast which was very smooth and flavorful. If you’re a coffee connoisseur, this is the place to go! They also have homemade pastries and homemade whipped cream, which we devoured. It was absolutely delicious! We will be returning again tomorrow morning. This place is a must to get amazing coffee and pastries.

You MUST get the scones. Omg. Generally I do not order scones because all I’ve had are the dry, crumbly ones that are as hard as a rock. Clyde’s scones are different. Clyde’s scones take over your sense of smell because they are the first scent you register as you walk up the steps to the coffeehouse. Clyde’s scones make you forget your traumatic scone experiences and have you believing there is good in the world. Get. The. Scones.

I had high hopes for this coffee shop given the super friendly staff and the quaint decor. But unfortunately my opinion of this coffee shop dropped considerably when I tasted both the ham and cheese croissant and the Apple pastry. Both were soggy and the ham and cheese croissant was fairly tasteless. I think both of these pastries would have been helped tremendously with a toaster oven. My 2% latte with an add shot was not great either unfortunately. I really wanted to like this place, but for the reasons above I can only give it three stars.

Clydes is a super cool local coffee spot in South Lake Tahoe!! From the expertly crafted coffee drinks, to the large variety of delicious pastry items, to the awesome merch and finally, to the unique and beautiful décor inside the shop, this place is IT. Highly recommend wether a local or a visitor to the area!

Clyde’s, please come to Buffalo! There is no doubt that is is a popular local coffee shop. During the short stay in Lake Tahoe, we frequented Clyde’s for fresh, locally roasted coffee and their scones and croissants. We had a cheddar bacon, blueberry, and orange chocolate scones as well as ham and cheese and almond croissants. Both were soft with a ton of flavor!! Hey good to go on your way to the slopes, hiking, or Yosemite National Park as we did. Also, the shop had a great vibe. It looked like a little cabin with a fireplace and fun ski/outdoor decorations that made it homey with the Lake Tahoe feel.

One of the best locally owned coffee shops I've ever visited. Lovely, clean interior with friendly service and excellent pastries (if you're a bear claw fan, Clyde's is to die for!). The coffee is pretty darn good too, great mix of coffee and sweet in flavored drinks. Recommend the Caramelicious!

Really liked the little cafe. It was over priced, as it cost about $25 for two kids chocolate milks, a iced matcha and a mocha. Small and cozy on the inside so it can be challenging to find a seat for a large group but its worth the try. I probably would opt to try a new place rather than visit again but if its close by, I might try it again for fun.

In town for a week and we come here daily! Nicest staff and the best coffee drinks! They roast their own beans and make all bakery items themselves. Two picky teens loved the scones because they are fresh that day, flavorful and unlike most scones... not dried out :)

The coffee and espresso drinks are really well made and done nicely. The baked goods are the best I have found in Tahoe. Sometimes we would ask for something extra like whipped cream or an extra shot and it was 50/50 if we got it. Sometimes the service was friendly but mostly not which I always find strange when you are kind and asking how the day is going(got zero reply) I wouldn’t be so critical but I’m in the service industry too. I’ll keep buying coffee here but maybe a little more engagement. Local/grew up here/family has been here over 59 years

Great selection of coffee and baked items. The apple strudel with apricot drizzle was awesome and so was the tomato mozzarella (I think) bagel. Service is friendly and it has a small inside and deck out front. My wife and I love this place.

We ordered a dirty chai, a house blend coffee, and an apple caramelscone. It was $16, so a bit on the pricey side, but it’s quality stuff! It was all very tasty, especially the dirty chai. 😋Just one thing… they ran out of the house blend we ordered, so they mixed it with a different blend to fill the cup. That’s okay, they asked us if it was okay to do that. I just wish they would’ve said, “Sorry for the inconvenience, here’s $.20 off for the inconvenience of not having a full cup of one blend” Know what I mean? Maybe I’m just being picky, but imo that would’ve made this place stand shoulders above other coffee places in the area. Also the place was very cozy with super cute decor, and plenty of outdoor seating too with a decent lake view😍

Such an amazing coffee shop! We are visiting from Wisconsin and we loved coming here because the atmosphere was amazing. We ordered an iced carmelicious and it was so good. The service was amazing and when we came back the second time a worker gave us a punch card and filled it up so we would get a free coffee next time! Such a wonderful business!
