EDIT: Added the breakdown of the fees we paid for a supposedly free 3 day stay. $163 for 3 days in just fees.Location is nice, close to a lot of things. $15/night parking is a little absurd for guests on top of additional fees. We were given a free 3 night stay, but had to pay $150 on check-in just in additional fees. There’s no room turnover unless specifically requested in advance, so the linens aren’t swapped and toiletries aren’t refilled, so we ran out of toilet paper on the second day. There was no water in the room and no ice machine, so the only way to get cold drinking water was to purchase a bottle for $2 from the vending machines. Some of the pillows had stains. Outlets were loose so it was hard to charge anything. Windows are glued shut, which is a huge fire hazard. Door to the cabinet for the mini fridge was broken. No microwave in room. Staff was relatively nice apart from a rude cashier in the casino and one of the front desk workers when we were checking in. It seems like a business that tries to appear to be high-end without actually catering to the customers. Not very thrilled with our stay and likely would not come back

I stayed there this past weekend and i will never stay there again. This hotel is definitely haunted and the energy in this space was really off. We weren’t the only ones that felt this way. We were supposed to stay for 2 days and we ended leaving early because i was not gonna stay there another second. Also while we were there we were on the 6th floor and did not see a single soul leave or enter their room. We walked out multiple times to be able to see someone and didn’t see a single person. It felt like someone was watching us in our room and in the bathroom the vibe was just off

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, although the room was a bit small, it was very cozy, equipped with a small fridge but no microwave and no bathtub. The facilities were fantastic, including a large swimming pool and hot tub, both complimentary, and a steam room available for $10 for the entire day.Food & drinks: Breakfast is not included

Room was clean but some of the furniture was ripped and bed was hard. The curtains had marker on them. I went to the vending machine and the soda was warm and water was sold out. I had to go to the bar and the bartender was nice to give me free, small water bottles, and a cup of ice for my soda. The water was cold and delicious. I really loved the temperature of the shower because some places the water be warm, I like my showers hot, it was perfect. The staff was friendly and helped me with anything I needed, including extra covers.

Expedia messed up and advertised the wrong room so when we got there we thought we were getting and suite but we didn't. Expedia was great and gave us one key cash to use for another trip and then Perry the hotel manager upgraded us to the suite we thought we were getting for free! Super good customer service!! Pool was also super family friendly

This is the closest hotel to the event center (it is directly next door to the Tahoe Blue Event Center) and shares the parking lot and parking structure between. If you are attending an event at Tahoe Blue, Bally's charges $40 for special event parking; however, if you have a room at Bally's it's free-- BONUS!The hotel/casino is decent (better than average) for aging, remodeled casino resort. The diner type restaurant has a good variety of decent food; not five-star great, but not terrible. The Starbucks logos indicate their own Cafe (serving Starbucks brands and some limited menu items), however be prepared to wait in line; their service protocol is ONE barista working the register and fulfilling each order individually.Overall I'm happy with Bally's and will definitely stay here again, especially if attending a show at the adjacent event center.Rooms: I was late in getting reservations, so to get non-smoking room we ended up with 2-Queen and ADA room with giant awkward bathroom, however it was neat and clean, and the view from the 6th floor was nice (631) even though it faced the event center instead of the lake.Walkability: Like mentioned above, If you are attending an event at the Tahoe Blue Event Center, this is as close as you're going to get to venue at any hotel on the strip. It is directly adjacent and EASY walk across the parking lot

I was only spending one night at this Hotel. I had a reservation but showed up three hours early. I was asked for my ID and to confirm my visa that I would charge my stay at. Not a problem.I was told that there would be a $25 extra charge for early check in. I informed him that that was unacceptable due to the fact that I was checking out the next day at 8:00 AM. Check out is at 11:00 AM, so basically the charge would be for the same amount of hours. I thought that was very cheap on their part. The manager was rude and didn't accommodate. So to avoid the $25 extra charge, I checked in at 4:00 PM. I still checked out at 8:00 AM. I felt that the room given to me was a way of getting back at me. It was between the ice room and the elevator. I thought someone was constantly moving furniture by my head. My view out the window was a rooftop that had large motors of some sort on them. The Hotel wasn't busy. Perhaps they needed the extra $25. What happened to customer service? They benefitted the extra 3 hours to resell the room, and I never would have asked for $25 credit. I would have been thrilled to have a place to stay and tell a friend about my wonderful experience.Nearby activities: Heavenly ski resort in walking distance as well as many shops and restaurants.Walkability: Easy to walk to various shops and pubs.

The rooms were clean, as was the hotel kids arcade was tiny. There’s a cute lingerie store in there with an escape room we didn’t try. The casino is nice and the endless pasta at the cafe del soul was amazing and by far the cheapest meal we had in southlake. My daughter cut her leg on a table which was broken in the waiting area and I waited several hours and made multiple requests for extra blankets for my child. The pool is super awesome and overall for the price, you can’t beat the location.

I booked a room here for Spring Break with my kids based on a friend's recommendation because I was looking for a hotel with an indoor pool. It turns out my friend stayed there back when it was Mont Bleu and a lot has changed. Yes, there's a relatively nice indoor pool. However, we were told when we checked in that the spa would be closed for "an hour or less" starting at 11am the next day because the hot water would be off. It turned out the hot water to the ENTIRE HOTEL was off for about 9 hours, so when we returned from skiing the pool and hot tub were cold and we couldn't take a shower in our room. Not the end of the world but a big bummer when the pool was the whole reason we chose this hotel! The sink in our room leaked so there was water all over the floor (I called Maintenance and they fixed it). The sheets were the worst I've ever slept on - felt like sandpaper! Every employee we encountered, with the exception of the one man who answered the phone when I called the front desk to ask when the hot water would be back on (he had no idea but was very nice) was rude and unfriendly. This includes the 2 women at the front desk when we checked in, the 2 desk people at the pool, both lifeguards, and even the housekeeping staff. Actually, we did eat at Caffè del Sol and our server was good, as was the bell man who brought our bags to our room and the man who brought us shampoo (we were very surprised to learn that there's no daily cleaning service unless you request it in advance). When we checked in, the valet asked if we wanted valet or self-parking. I asked the difference in price ($15 per night for self and $25 per night for valet), and how far the self-parking lot was. He answered and told me to give him my key while I checked in and I could "figure out what the hell I wanted to do.' Not exactly top customer service! We tried to use the coffee pot in the room but it kept putting chunks of black yuck in the cup, even after I ran several cups of water through it. There was a shoe in the room safe, left from a previous guest. To top it all off, the water pressure in our shower was non-existent - truly just a step above a trickle - so my kids and I couldn't even rinse our hair. We ended up using the shower at the pool to wash our hair because it was slightly better. Of course, that wasn't terribly convenient since we had to bring our towels, toiletries (there's no shampoo in the pool locker room) and clothes to the pool locker room instead of getting ready in our hotel room. And lastly, I realize it's a casino in Nevada, but the ventilation is dreadful. We were all taken aback by the cigarette smoke the moment we entered to check in. On a positive note, my kids enjoyed the arcade and there's an escape room that looked interesting (we didn't try it). Oh...I did buy a pair of ski socks in the hotel shop and the prices seemed good. I think the hotel has potential, but it's prime is long past and it needs A LOT of TLC and new management to bring it in line with the other nearby accommodations. The location is good and our room had a view of the lake, but several other locations have those things as well, with better service and amenities. We don't plan to go back.Walkability: Walking distance to the other casinos, CVS, restaurants, Heavenly Village, shopping and the lake.

I would have given this place a 5, but the supervisor at the pool ruined our entire experience and stay. Our daughter is 18 and he refused to let her swim in the pool that has lifeguards too! He was completely disrespectful, rude, and even lied to us! Will not go back to this resort due to the pool supervisor being horrible. Please consider hiring a new pool supervisor and we would consider this hotel again. Until then we won’t be back and hope others that don’t want rude customer service at the pool will choose a different hotel while staying in Lake Tahoe.

Stayed at Bally’s in Lake Tahoe for our honeymoon and wouldn’t recommend overall. Extremely expensive ($300 a night) for the most basic of rooms. I called up prior to arriving to ask if they could place anything in the room as it was our honeymoon (I would have been happy to pay for this also if necessary but wanted to make the room special) but they said they could do nothing. The room was basic and a little grubby. Housekeeping does not come into the room to clean unless you specifically ask. We asked and they simply brought new towels but cleaned nothing. The bed was uncomfortable and windows let in a draft and condensation and the TV did not work. We did go to the steak restaurant, service was excellent albeit very expensive for what it is. The pool and jacuzzi were nice and there are a number of activities in the hotel but for the price they are charging it is not anywhere near the standard of the other casino resorts in the area (such as Hurrahs and Harvey’s).

Less convenient than a motel. Only one outlet in the room worked and its impossible to find a vending machine or bottled water once the coffee shop closed. Very surprised there weren't bottles in the rooms. Who expects you to drink tap water from a nasty old building these days? It's not feasible to walk to CVS in the middle of the night when you're traveling alone. The place was a ghost town and hardly ever saw staff to get help. Felt like I was deserted and fending for myself. Not a great experience trying to find basic needs!!! Checking out early

room was nice and clean, Staff was pleasant, Super bowl party was a little expensive for what you got.. very few door prizes.Tickets should have been given for drinks or beers attendees choice not just beer not everyone drinkbeer. volume was a little loud.Casino and rooms were a little warm, but at least the rooms temperature can be controlled by ac / heater.Overall I had a good time during my visit. one more thing hotel staff not very familiar about events and box office only open day of event. It would be nice to talk to someone who is available with information about events and questions about hotel and casino...Overall I would give my stay a 4 stars...

The hotel is dated and run down but the staff were short, belittling and careless. We drove and got in late, around 9:30pm. We have a 1 year old and wanted to get to our room as quickly as possible. Once we checked in, we asked if there was a bell service, the man checking us in talked to us in a condescending way. We waited for over 20 minutes for someone to come to the bell desk and the front desk was not helpful. When the bell person finally came he told us he wasn’t available and then he just sat there. He didn’t offer an alternative option, he just ignored us. I finally asked if we could have a bell cart to take our stuff up and he also talked to me like I was a child and threatened me. Telling me “I better bring it back cause if he has to come get it, we will have problems.” All while I’m holding my child. It is not a welcoming environment and it’s not family friendly. It was a horrible start to our trip and made us immediately feel unsafe. The sheets in the rooms are grossly worn, there was a cigarette burn on the toilet seat. There are a number of hotels on the street and unless you are gambling (which you don’t need to stay here to do) I would not recommend. While it is run down and dated, the biggest issue is the service. The staff make you feel worthless upon arrival and then all you see are the flaws the rest of the time.

I have booked 4 rooms for a night, I called the hotel to request for the rooms to be next/near to each other was easy and done straight away. We were glad we got checked in around 2:45PM after a drive all we wanted is to rest and sleep. As soon as we get into our rooms..we noticed that the bedsheets were changed and the flat sheets were not..so I called the front desk to request for the bedsheets to be changed and the person on the phone asked me to go down the front desk so they can change our rooms..little I did know when I got into the front desk they told me that they don’t transfer guests just because the bedsheets were not replaced. So I asked them why will someone send me down the front desk if they won’t transfer/move our rooms..Wendy and a male person at the front desk denying everything that they will not send someone down just to change bedsheets or neither they will move to another room.I asked them on how long will it take for the housekeepers to go to our room and change the beddings. Then the male person(unfortunately I didn’t get the name but was on duty between 3&4PM with Wendy) told me that, “If I am LUCKY enough the HK will be there around 3 mins exactly when I get to my room”. This is not am appropriate word to say to your guest specially paying HIGH Room RATE on a long weekend. To cut the long story short we ended up resting with a clean room around 5PM. With furnitures that are ripped, stained and loose brackets(chairs were changed twice but still not in good condition).the room looks nice on the pictures though..From a simple short nice stay that ended up in a stressful day because of rude front desk agent who doesn’t know how to speak to guests. I thank those house keepers who were so nice and apologetic to us bc of the horrible experience in the hotel.Rooms: Rooms need deep cleaning and renovation.

This hotel is in serious need of a renovation and service needs improvement. The hotel is dirty and outdated, service sucks and the place is very getto. There were people cooking in their rooms, and the entire hallway stinked. There were chairs and other things in the hallways. The rooms were ugly, and the bathroom needs an actual door that works and can be closed for privacy. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I've been staying here for years, back when it was Montbleu Resort. Since it's been taken over by Bally's it has gone downhill. My wife and I decided to go to Tahoe for a few days and got a room here. We arrived early and went to the desk to ask what time we could check in. The woman at the counter said check in started at noon. So, my wife and I walked around town and got some food and as noon approached we headed back. We went to the desk and was told that a noon check in was early and would cost us $25 or else we could wait until 2:00. We decided to wait. We checked in at 2:00 and got to our room (522) and the room has a weird smell to it but we just dealt with it. Fast forward to that night. We decided to go to bed and that smell got worse as we pulled the blankets back. The sheets were clean but it was like someone had urinated on the mattress. The smell was terrible. Again....we dealt with it. The next morning my wife got into the shower and turned on the water and the shower knob came off the wall into her hand. She put it back on as best she could and we made do. Also of note is that the toilet handle was falling off, and all of the power outlets are really loose so using anything that needs plugged in is difficult. Fast forward to later the next day, we were sitting at the bar gambling on the video poker machines and the bartender says that drinks are free as long as we are betting $1 hands. So that's what we did. My wife was a few glasses deep into Pinot Grigio when the bartender asked if she wanted another. My wife said yes. The bartender asked if we had a tab started and I said no, we were gambling so there shouldn't be a tab. The bartender then tells me that Pinot Grigio isn't a comped drink while gambling. Ok.......that should have been explained prior to ordering and when told me that drinks were comped as long as we were gambling and betting a $1 per hand. We just paid the bill that we didn't know we had and left. In all the experience was bad and it will likely be my last time staying there. There are plenty of other options close by like Harvey's, Harrah's and the Golden Nugget.Rooms: Terrible mattress with oder and shower handle came off. Toilet handle was falling off as well. Power outlets are loose. Nothing stays plugged in.

We've stayed at a lot of places and I expected this place to be a lot better than it was, especially after reading previous reviews. I would stay at the Hard Rock at Stateline (now named Golden Nugget Casino) again before I'd book at Bally's again. Our refrigerator was disgusting and had something spilled inside of it, so obviously was not cleaned and the bathroom was not very clean either. (It looked like someone had peed on the wall next to the toilet and it hadn't been cleaned.

Bartender charged me for a drink when I put 40+ dollars in machine at bar and still charged me even though the policy is $20 in machine and you get a free drink. He was the younger dark haired kid. Then when I went to make a complaint the bald dude working the bar sprayed me with soda water like an absolute child. I was 100% calm about it until then. Even after I did my best to not make a scene. I have been a returning customer of ballys for years and have been supposedly banned after a night where I was up $500+, and then treated like a street urchin. If you can avoid the center bar because they are clearly untrained monkeys that cannot handle they're job! That being said the women that wait on you while playing slots are amazing! Especially the older blondish lady! She is absolutely amazing at her job! They are amazing just stay away from center bar because they are the most unprofessional people I've ever met!! I wish I had the security footage to prove my complaint but security was as rude as the central Bartenders. I've spent thousands of dollars there and will never spend another dime. Which is unfortunate because the drink runners around the floor did such a good job! Honestly with bartenders like they employ the floor servers deserve a raise and all the bartenders tips!!!Noteworthy details: I just hope floor servers find a better gig
