Went here for the first time looking for a particular firearm this past Friday, they had the firearm and the way I was greeted when I walked in was unlike any other gun shop. Recently moved to the area and have been very pleased with this business! The staff are friendly, the building is well maintained, and pricing is incredibly fair.The firearm shop has knowledgeable staff, a large inventory, and a well maintained range with an emphasis on safety. The concealed carry class was an absolute bargain for 8 hours of quality education.Next, as someone with zero MMA experience I had no idea what to expect when signing up for a membership. It has been humbling and uncomfortable in the best way possible. It's an amazing workout. The staff and even some of the members have professional experience and are more than willing to help however they can.Lastly, the attached coffee shop has killer breakfast sandwiches!Thank you Rick, Heather, Darian, Alex, Oscar and the several others that have made my experiences nothing but positive.

Just took the CCW class and it was awesome!. I learned so much. The couple that ownes this place are great and I appreciate who they are. Don't go in there being a scumbag or you'll get treated accordingly lmao. Check this place out though, the staff was great and I can't say enough how much we need people like them in our little city and they have a damn MMA gym on the side it's all that rolled into one. I consigned a rifle for sale and was told that there would be a 15% fee. I told if it was not sold and I would need a CCW or pay background check to get the rifle back. Since I have my CCW, I was told I would not have to pay the fee. I signed the contract with that understanding. I was not told that I’d have to pay a 15% fee to get the rifle back if it was not sold. In addition, I was not told if the rifle wasn’t sold within six months, I would have to pay the 15% fee or forfeit the rifle. Contract that I signed contains the language that allows them to charge the 15% fee even if they didn’t sell the rifle. Even though I was misled into signing the contract, I am legally obligated to honor it . BE WARE When dealing with this firm when selling gun. You will be paying a 15% fee regardless if your firearm is sold or not DH

I have contacted RAC a few times via phone and visited the store a couple times as well. Every person I've talked to either on the phone or in person has provided incredible customer service and had an exceptionally positive attitude. Every experience has left me feeling grateful that I decided to check out the store to purchase ammo a few months back. I will never go anywhere else now.

Being a first-time gun owner and not having a clue how to load the gun or even what kind of ammo to put in it could be a recipe for disaster, but as fate would have it, someone I know offered to take me to a place where I could learn how to shoot and protocol when on the range, and other basics to get me started. That place was the RAC Guns & Ammo on Prater in Sparks. That was about 3 months ago. Every single person who works has offered helpful advice and tips that they learned along the way. With everyone's patience and guidance, I've come from not knowing how to load my own gun to getting certified in their CCW class. Rick and Heather are very passionate about what they do, and they get to do what they love. It is very much a family vibe and a place where there always seems like there is an opportunity to learn and grow mentally, physically, and emotionally. The class they do is very enlightening, not just about conceal carry but about getting stronger and learning other self-defense methods, I can't thank them enough for the patience they showed with me, that goes for the entire staff. I highly recommend the RAC Guns & Ammo for all your self-defense needs.

It was way past time for my husband and I to renew our CCWs so we had to take a full 8 hour class again. In my searching I found RAC Guns & Ammo to be the best price - $67 for the full course?! What a deal! Also, included with our class sign up is a free month at the Academy of Combat gym!Our class was on a Saturday and we were told to be there at 7:45am. When we walked in we stood in line for a few minutes to be checked in, sign waivers, etc.The class is held in the store off to the side. It was a bit snug, but not a huge deal. Renewals and New classes are grouped together and if qualified, the renewals can leave before the second half of the class. If they don't pass the qualifications, they are required to attend the rest of the class as well as a new shooter class in order to get more training. I personally think this is an excellent idea in the name of safety for everyone!I was genuinely dreading another 8 hour class, but I was in for a real surprise. Rick was an absolute blast to learn from. He is deeply passionate about personal safety and it shows in how he talks and presents the information. He does make jokes that get the whole class laughing, but he also is serious when need be and doesn't put up with shenanigans and will call anyone out who isn't taking it seriously. He is very blunt because he wants you to fully grasp the severity of what can happen. You can tell he genuinely cares about the students and that they get the best information possible to make the best/safest choices they can. Throughout the course we also heard from his wife Heather, which - as a woman - was very helpful and relatable. They also have a representative from USCCA come in to discuss insurance which was very informative!The range is a decent size and during qualifications Rick, Heather, and Brett were at our sides ensuring safety and that instructions were followed. They were very clear in what was required of us and did an excellent job at giving directions.We were given breaks to grab a coffee next door, bite to eat, or browse the store. They have a lot of inventory and the staff are all extremely knowledgeable. During our breaks, my husband and I got the opportunity to chat with different staff members and never once felt put down or out of place as we have at other stores. We felt extremely welcomed and dialogue went both ways. One of the conversations was with Rick and Heather and they were so pleasant to chat with. They are truly incredible humans who have poured their hearts into their business and I am so thankful to have them around and a store that I feel so comfortable and welcome in!I so look forward to coming back to utilize the range, purchase product, and check out the gym!

Heather was super knowledgeable , thorough, kind, and professional. She took time to explain various guns to us, and really, and truly knows her stuff! We ended up shooting in the range with Brandon, who is knowledgeable, patient and a really awesome person! I just took a ccw class with Heather and Rick. They and their staff are so knowledgable and helpful. They share a lot of real life scenarios their customers have been put in and it felt like a very personable experience. They genuinely care about their customers and safety.The one thing I wished there was more of was the dry firing exercises. I did feel like that was helpful to practice the process of using your weapon but I would have like to had spent more time doing that exercise.Overall, amazing experience. Highly recommended. I will be returning to continue practicing.

Everything about this store is awesome; from the owners to the employees, to the classes. I took the new shooter class, and the CCW class and loved both. If it wasn't their encouragement and "you can do it" attitude, I don't know if I would have had the confidence to take the CCW class. Awesome store/company. Rick and Heather are very patient with "newbies" and genuinely seem to care. I purchased a gun and then took the safety class and then the CCW class. Without their help, I never would have made it through the classes. Rick can be a little rough around the edges but I believe he is just trying to get across how important responsible gun ownership is. If a couple of over-the-hill liberals like my husband and I can learn from their class, anyone can.

Good selection of used guns, too!Visit their website for a complete listing of available pew-pews and parts, although some listings will have to be shipped from their warehouse.They also offer what has to be the most affordable Conceal Carry class in town and provide a small indoor shooting range as well. They also have a small variety of guns available for rent to use in their indoor range.RAC guns & ammo will most definitely be my first stop for affordable firearms for my next buy.

Went into the location for the first time. I bought my glock 43x mos recently and needed to find a local shooting range close by from my house. Havent shot since my ccw training awhile ago, so I was still new after completion. Saw the reviews and went in to purchase a concealed carry holster, but also use the range. Brett was helpful in re-adjusting my firing. Really appreciative of all the help and knowledge. May be back later for the membership. Thanks guys! :)

So I just completed the CCW course at RAC Guns & Ammo today and all I can say is… WOW! What an experience. First of all, the classroom was jam packed with people from all walks of life. I estimate about 40 people in total. Men, women, young, middle-age and elderly. Everyone there to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights. Our instructors were husband and wife Rick and Heather, the owners of RAC. These two absolutely exude passion! I learned so much from them and look forward to taking advantage of their numerous shooting and self-defense classes offered at RAC. It’s an amazing set-up. A full-service Gun shop, indoor shooting range, gym, self-defense classes and Coffee Shop all in the same building! Seriously, what is not to love?? Speaking of the coffee shop, I walked over there during our lunch break today. The two young ladies working there were so sweet and friendly. How refreshing! I moved here from California and I’m just not used to being treated so well! I also want to recognize Alex. I bought ear protection today, as well as eye protection, socks (wear closed toe shoes to class or suffer the embarrassment!) a shooting range membership AND an awesome book on all things dealing with concealed carry. I’m sure Alex would’ve preferred I purchased all these items at once but why would I do something that made that much sense?? LOL. He cheerfully rung me up several times today and he is just the nicest guy ever. So a big thank you to everyone at RAC. I feel like I’m a new member of the family and plan on spending lots of quality time at your beautiful facility. Thanks! Jeff
