This place is awful. It’s basically a puppy mill. Puppies are held behind glass and basically lying in their own pee. They drink from Drippers for bunnies. They are also insanely expensive. Please do not buy a puppy here.

I've always been hesitant to go in here because Puppy Love has a reputation in Reno (because of the old owners). However, with the new owners, and honestly the really helpful and positive staff, I thoroughly felt comfortable buying a puppy from here.We bought our boy Tatum who is one of the most well behaved dogs I've ever met. He has an amazing temperament, and I can't help but feel at least part of it is because the girls who work here love the puppies like they're their own. He's healthy, microchipped, and is from a breeder that you can track and even get in contact with if you truly desire. I saw comments saying these puppies come from puppy mills, and I can say that at least from my breeder that is not the case. You have to get a vet visit within three days to activate the health warranty, and with how things are in Reno currently, we had to call around tons of places to find a place. Mt. Rose Animal Hospital got us in within the time frame so I highly recommend trying there. All in all, this was a good place to get our boy! I feel like breeders offer different things than if you were picking up a dog from the humane society, but it really comes down to your needs and what you're looking for in your pet. I love my dog and I'd tell people proceed with caution, but don't hesitate to go in and meet some of their pups.

I got my sweet Molli from PuppyLove and She is the most AMAZING dog I've ever had.(I paid $3800 for her though!!!! Which is RIDICULOUS. I just couldn't say no to that sweet face!!)SADLY though, someone stole my baby from me in November. My heart is super broken without her.

Just a puppy mill. There are rescues in the area that treat their dogs much better, don't support places like this.

Don't buy here there are too many puppies in 1 glass box the website is wrong and they want 3,600 for the most expensive dog and the cheapest one which has been there the longest is for a thousand dollars I went in there for a Shiba Inu they didn't have one. Tried to sell me a chi with a curly tail saying it was a Shiba Inu. They told me no one wanted the other dogs all people wanted were Boston terriers and french bulldogs which were all in a cage together 4 Boston and 1 tiny Frenchie who you couldn't even see.

Overpriced puppy mill. Do not buy from here. Go adopt the many many dogs at shelters.

This place was an overload of joy, these puppies were beyond adorable, I had a wonderful experience. The staff members were informative on finance options and breeds which should not go unnoticed! These girls do a wonderful job at providing information about each pup and I can see the care they put into them. It is not easy. Although the staff members were helpful, when I came in one of the staff members was unable to point out which pup was which. You would think working with puppies all day you would know what breed is which, but this girl did not. It was frustrating! I did receive help later on from another staff member.

Do not buy a puppy from here. Over priced puppies that are all conditioned to relieve themselves where they sleep. Its almost impossible to break them of this habit. the dog I bought is more comfortable doing his business where he sleeps than anywhere else. find a good breeder, it'll be cheaper and save you frustration

Got my special boy from this place and let me tell you how great my experience was. They were able to answer all my questions about the breed and the difficult road ahead with having a puppy. They kept me the place clean and had a very friendly environment. They know more than you’d think about the breeds, dogs themselves and overall experience. Despite what the rumors say they are NOT a puppy mill. All of the bs rumors are not true, i have had many conversations. These employees dedicate so much time and effort into this place that there is no way theses dogs can be neglected even if they wanted to be. They treat these dogs as if they are their own and love them endlessly and many people bring them back to say hi months sometimes years later with recurring customers. The prices are pricey yes but having purebred versus mixed does have its advantages and disadvantages. But just like everything in the business world, specific audiences are targeted versus others. Regardless though do not hesitate to go in there and say hi to the girls and guy and ask them questions and potentially take home your new best friend. They will make your experience worth while!

Won’t allow photos to be taken (to avoid customer seeing the poor conditions) and staff will yell at you if you attempt to take any. Multiple dogs are crammed into tiny plexiglass cages with feces, the whole store smells like bleach or ammonia. My coworker purchased a Boston terrier from here that ended up having a ton of health issues. The prices are outrageous for the chance your dog could have a serious disability or untreated illness when they claim vets come to check the dogs. This place shouldn’t be allowed to operate.

I checked this place out, and wasn't impressed with what I saw. Screamed out puppy mill. The worst part is that aside from reading all the reviews and such, the people complaining seem to be the types who want to impulse buy and animal, or really want a certain breed, on the cheap. People, for heaven's sake, adopt a dog from a shelter if you really, really want a dog. Be ready to work with their needs. Aside from the humane society and ASPCA, there are other small rescues in and around town. They will definitely grill you as they would understandingly want their dogs to go to a solid, responsible person/family, and will totally reject impulse buys. It that bothers you, you shouldn't really be looking for a dog in the first place. If you want a specific breed, fork up the cash, and get it from a legit, and reputable dealer. Quit being cheap! The dogs already come with shots, and are taken care of by people who take pride in their work. Though the idea of a puppy shop is noble, unless it is doing it right, I wouldn't bother purchasing a pet there. There are many solid animals up for adoption that need a good home, and someone that will put effort into understanding what their new pet will need, and the time it will take to make them comfortable, especially if they came from an abusive home or a home where they were neglected. Don't buy "cute" puppies when in reality, you won't even bother with them when they get older, not put any effort in their care, training, mental and physical health. Impulse buying is for fools!

We had a great experience. Chris provided great customer service. I am glad they ask you to sanitize your hands and wear a mask and enforce it. They are very clean! Which is keeping you safe, the pups safe so they don’t get sick, and themselves, given the environment we are in this should be expected! You are also petting the dogs, touching the windows etc etc. Common sense I say.Anyway! We had time to meet our new guy and play with him despite us coming in at almost closing time. Chris and the other lady who was there, kept the kennels cleaned, both would literally stop to go back and quickly clean up and come back to us to continue answering our questions.Chris was very knowledgeable about all the breeds. He gave great suggestions on what breed would work best for our family and took his time explaining the process of buying our pup, care, shots etc.Yes expensive but you are also getting great service, warranty, microchipped, shots up to date and pups that have been seen by our local vets, set you up for success to take your new pet home.No complaints on my end! Thank you!

We bought two puppies from this store. I absolutely love my puppies yet I would never recommend this store to anyone. Our first fuzzy baby was bought on a Saturday. We had to wait over an hour while the owners put the puppy #1's information in the computer. As my husband expressed frustration at the waiting process, the attitude of the staff was less than gracious or apologetic. The feeling was they were doing us a favor! Really? Why would you put an animal for sale and say that since she's only been there a week, we should be happy with waiting for a broken process? For such a high dollar item I would expect much better and professional service. For puppy #2, I went back because I fell in love with her on day one. This time the clerk asked if I would buy additional items besides the dog so she could get her commission. I also found out that they only let the puppies out 15 minutes a day which is cruel and inhumane. So...why run a puppy store if you aren't going to offer good customer service, correct information and well taken care of animals. Love my pups. Don't go here.

One star is too high of a rating. We tried to buy a puppy but they sold it under from us while we were still in store after we said we were very interested in the puppy. Then the staff turned their back and walked away from us when we questioned Why they would sell the puppy when the puppy was not reserved and we had already expressed explicit interest in the puppy. If they treat their customers this way, I can only wonder how they treat their animals. Decided to buy a puppy from a recognized AKC breeder 2 hours away at 1/2 the cost rather than supporting puppy mills. I wouldn’t waste my money or time with this business. Please buy a puppy from a shelter or recognized breeder.

I adopted a German Shepherd from here BECAUSE the manager and staff were abusing and mistreating the puppy after she became a sad once her sibling was adopted out. This pup was seriously underweight when I took her they gave me a discount cus they didn’t see her as worth it. The staff hate animals.

I went there today to purchase a puppy for my wife. I’m glad I didn’t. They have 3 to 4 dogs locked all day long inside a fish tank, I mean they have several “fish tanks” with multiple dogs inside all day long. Also they want to charge more than 4.000$ for a Australian shepherd. What a joke, I even saw a golden retriever with a huge bump on his head. Please don’t contribute with this place and get your puppies somewhere else.

DO NOT BUY A DOG FROM THIS PLACE! My Shiba is 4, he was born on 9/3/2017. I got him from Puppy Love - I'm financially sound and thankfully so - within 6 months he was diagnosed with a heart murmur, at 4 years epilepsy and a mass cell tumor. Thankfully I can afford to care for him. We get regular check ups and I have a great team of vets -but I have to have a team of vets - DO NOT BUY

Despite all the bad reviews we bought a puppy anyway. He came registered with full pedigree information and microchip. He was current on all vaccinations and had even had flu shots. Patricia was great, let us in early and negotiated with us on a very reasonable price for a schnauzer that has champion blood lines. People have written how all the dogs are sick which I did not find to be true. Yes they are in relatively small kennels, they all seemed happy and healthy. Our pup is absolutely perfect and was given a complete work up at our vet and he passed with flying colors. If you know what you want and do your research then I would recommend Puppy Love. They give you 3 days to get a wellness check, 7 day return policy and one year health guarantee. They cover all meds should your Puppy contract any illness, like kennel cough. We are in love and very happy with our experience.

So expensive that you have to take a loan out to get a puppy if you aren't rich. The puppies look sad being stuck in little boxes all day long. The staff Is so busy they leave you alone with puppy's that aren't trained at all in anyway. so we got stuck with a big puppy that was beating my kids head up against the wall jumping up & scratched all my kids faces with nobody trying to help us get the dog away from the kids or help us get out without the dog escaping.

I am super pleased to see how happy and playful the puppies at Puppy Love are. You can tell that the staff loves each and every single puppy in there. It's always so clean and smelling fresh, you can tell that the staff really pushes a sanitary regiment to keep these animals safe and healthy. I recommend at least stopping by, you never know, you could leave with a new addition to your family ❤!!!

I want to start by saying that my husband and I were very sceptical after reading the reviews. But after doing a lot of research and reading up on purchasing from a puppyfrom a store we gave it a chance, and I must say we are very glad we did. I was in contact with a lot of breeders, and I must say they match close to the price of a "good"breeder (depending on the breed you go for). What you get with your puppy is way more then you will get anywhere ells. They not only give you a health guarantee for major problems for a year, but also genetic testing, akc registry, and also a amber alert microchip. We recently adopted a "Teddy Bear" puppy from them and couldn't be happier, our vet said she had normal vaccinations and was very healthy. So I hope if you are looking for a puppy and dont mind the sticker shock, that you will give it a chance and not read into all the hate on google reviews.

As I went to this store, I kinda already knew which pup I wanted and due to the fact that we're dealing with COVID at this time I did not expect to be able to have play time with the puppy. So I asked the employee at the counter about him and asked if I could maybe just watch him a little closer like in the playpen without touching him. She was very sweet, she said I can play with him but I'd have to wait 30 minutes after his mealtime, so I waited patiently for my little guy to settle his little belly so I could see him and he's perfect. They did not mistreat the animals, in my opinion. The staff was not rude to me, they were all very patient with me. I immediately made an appointment with my veterinarian to have him looked at the same day I got him and the vet said his heart and lungs sound great and he seems to be in perfect shape with such a cute little personality. I couldn't be happier! I will definitely be going back.

Called and a lady said they were open then when we showed up the door was locked with no sign we looked in and seen a lady eating food in the back when we called she said they were short staffed and feeding the dogs which was a lie because I seen her eating food. Why was it closed when the shop says it closes at 6:30pm and there was no sign saying that they were feeding the dogs and she had the audacity to say then just don’t come over here. Very rude and not professional and taking breaks by closing up when you should be open lying while your eating give me a break.🙄

PLEASE PLEASE do your research about this store and it’s owners before you buy a puppy here. They have been arrested and charged for animal cruelty, torturing/killing an animal (one of their puppies), and practicing veterinary medicine without a license. We bought our puppy here a few years ago and I really wish we had done our own research first. When we got her, they guaranteed her health and gave us all of the “official paperwork” to make it seem legit. This included information about the “breeder.” After a few days of having her, we realized she was deaf, which two vets confirmed. Deafness in dogs is due to unethical breeding where the breeder does not introduce enough genetic diversity. We then did some research on the breeder they listed in the paperwork and found out it is a puppy mill in Missouri. On top of this, she had kennel cough, which she gave to our other dog when we brought her home. We paid a small fortune in vet bills to treat both dogs and get confirmation regarding her deafness (because the owners tried to deny it when we confronted them). We’re so happy we have our girl and love her so much (deafness and all), but we never should have supported this business. It has since come out in an investigation by Washoe County Animal Services that the owners pump the dogs full of antibiotics and anti fungal meds (without consulting vets) and inject fluids under their skin to keep them looking healthy enough to sell. A day or two after you bring them home, you will realize how sick they are and spend a lot of money at the vet getting them well. One of their dogs even died from their “treatments” and lack of veterinary interference, all so the owners could save a little money. It’s disgusting. They source from puppy mills and charge customers outlandish prices for very sick dogs. Please don’t shop here. Please consider adopting a dog that needs a loving home, or find a reputable breeder.

DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM THIS PLACE!!! They pump them full of antibiotics before you take them home so they seem okay but they are sick! I bought my dog for over 3500 and now in more than 2000 In medical bills and that is the start. I have had my puppy for 6 days And she is in the emergency room now and the vet confirmed that she is sick because she came from a puppy mill! How do the owners of this place sleep at night doIng this to innocent puppy’s? Shame on you!!!!!

If ZERO stars was an option that’s what this review would be. Purchased a puppy from here. Took her to the vet within the 3 day period and the dog was SICK they refuse to pay for ANY testing to find out what is wrong with the dog. This pup in particular was diagnosed with giardia which was acquired from their facility and is contagious to other animals and possibly humans. So if you plan to purchase a pup from here plan to pay for plenty of stool samples and hope your pup doesn’t pass it to the other dogs in your home. I am going to need test and treat my other dogs in the home. Shouldn’t sell sick pups. Their “health guarantee” is a JOKE. This poor pups lymph nodes were also enlarged ALL but one. They will not pay for testing to find out what is wrong with the dog.I was told “it’s unlikely your puppy will die from this” regardless I was told I was being sold a HEALTHY puppy. This poor puppy is NOT healthy! SO if you want to pay a high dollar amount for a puppy and then a high dollar amount for veterinary care this place is for you! They Switch dogs around frequently so it’s pretty likely all of the dogs there are sick. They shove multiple pups into one tiny glass box

The puppies are cute but most appeared sluggish & disinterested. The puppies are 3 to 6 months. Much older than you would expect. The beautiful husky puppy had horrible liquid diahrrea. I mentioned it to the young girl working there & was told they had just changed his food. She did not bother to go clean the cage or check on the puppy. When the clerk went to get a puppy to show to a potential buyer the puppy seemed fearful & nervous. It was heartbreaking seeing these poor babies like that.

Was told and read bad reviews of this place.. wanted to believe otherwise and get a new puppy especially hearing how they don’t take care of them in store… after 5 phone calls during business hours I’m worried from a mix of reviews to extremely poor thoughtless customer service. A company that wants to help animals makes it difficult. This made me want to adopt more to save a poor animal from bad corporate treatment of those just waiting to cash a paycheck. But they not only refuse to help but just treat the customers the same way they treat their animals horribly. Was hung up on multiple times can’t get any information but an attitude. I feel bad for your animals.

The staff was very rude to us I called the manager back and later she told me that the person who had been rude to us was the owner's son. He would only allow us to see one dog which seemed kind of ridiculous since the dogs are like $2,000 and if I'm going to spend a couple of grand I'd like to know what the dog is going to be like and I certainly don't think it's asking too much to see all of the dogs I'm interested in. when I asked for his name because of the disrespect he paid me he refused to give it to me he was also very condescending and this was exacerbated by the fact that he was 15 and I'm 50 but on a more positive note this inspired me to go to the Humane Society and get two fabulous dogs which had all their shots and were spayed and neutered for only $50 in fact one of the dogs I got a dapple dachshund was $2,600 at puppy love I guess I should say thank you for being rude you saved me thousands.
